Abstract
The display device comprises an upper substrate and a lower substrate, wherein the upper substrate is a glass substrate or a color film substrate, the lower substrate is an ADS array substrate, a liquid crystal layer is arranged between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and polyimide PI alignment layers are arranged on the inner surfaces of the upper substrate and the lower substrate; the display medium of the liquid-crystal layer comprises at least one compound of formula I, at least one compound of formula II and at least one compound of formula VI. The display device of the ADS display mode has a low flicker value.
Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of display, and particularly relates to a display device of a vehicle event data recorder.
Background
With the progress of the times and the development of economic society, automobiles have become main vehicles of people. According to the statistics data of 2018, the annual automobile sales volume of the China market exceeds 1800 ten thousand, and accounts for more than 30% of the global sales volume. With the increase of the automobile holding quantity, various traffic accidents frequently occur, such as vehicle collision, porcelain collision, road rage, illegal driving and the like. As key equipment for driving monitoring, accident evidence and mobile recording, automobile data recorders are becoming indispensable electronic devices in automobiles. In order to facilitate the output of the recorded image data, the drive recorder is provided with a display device in many cases.
As a display device, display modes such as TN (twisted nematic), STN (super twisted nematic), VA (vertical alignment), IPS (in-plane switching), and FFS (fringe field switching) are commonly used. In recent years, researchers have further developed an ADS (advanced super dimension field switching) display mode based on FFS technology, and have used it in-vehicle displays.
The ADS is a display mode in which liquid crystal molecules between electrodes and right above the electrodes can rotate on a plane parallel to a glass substrate by an edge electric field generated between top-layer stripe-shaped pixel electrodes and bottom-layer layered common electrodes on a TFT substrate. This display mode has high light transmittance and can realize a wide viewing angle.
Because the driving electric field of the ADS display mode is a fringe electric field, liquid crystal molecules with two components of a horizontal electric field and a vertical electric field can generate splay and bending deformation under the action of the electric field, large splay deformation is generated at the edge of a pixel electrode, and large bending deformation is generated between the pixel electrodes. The liquid crystal deformation induces an electric dipole moment, i.e., a flexoelectric effect, so that a flicker phenomenon is easily generated.
In order to solve the above problems, improvements in terms of display media, backlights, and the like have been attempted. This requires that the display device of the ADS display mode has a low flicker value.
Therefore, it is desirable to provide a display device of a driving recorder with improved display performance, which addresses the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a display device of a driving recorder. The display device of the ADS display mode has a low flicker value, particularly a flicker value of not higher than 0.5%, compared to the related art.
In order to solve the technical problems, the invention adopts the following technical scheme: a display device of a driving recorder comprises an upper substrate and a lower substrate, wherein the upper substrate is a glass substrate or a color film substrate, the lower substrate is an ADS array substrate, a liquid crystal layer is arranged between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and polyimide PI alignment layers are arranged on the inner surfaces of the upper substrate and the lower substrate; characterized in that the display medium of the liquid-crystal layer comprises at least one compound of formula I, at least one compound of formula II and at least one compound of formula VI,
r1 to R2 each independently represent an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
r3 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; r4 each independently represents an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
R11-R12 each independently represent an alkyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms or an alkenyl group of 2-6 carbon atoms.
In the present invention, alkenyl is defined as one or more non-adjacent CH2Alkyl substituted with CH ═ CH.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the compound of formula I is present in an amount of 3-11%, preferably 4-10%, more preferably 5-9%, and most preferably 6-8%; the compound of formula II is present in an amount of 7-16%, preferably 8-15%, more preferably 9-14%, and most preferably 10-13%; the amount of compound of formula VI is 30-38%, preferably 31-37%, more preferably 32-36%, and most preferably 33-35%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the display medium further comprises a compound of formula III,
r5 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; r6 each independently represents an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the compound of formula III is present in an amount of 16-23%, preferably 17-22%, more preferably 18-21%, and most preferably 19-20%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the display medium further comprises a compound of formula IV,
r7 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; r8 each independently represents an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; ring A represents
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the compound of formula IV is contained in an amount of 11 to 18%, preferably 12 to 17%, more preferably 13 to 16%, and most preferably 14 to 15%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
The display device according to the invention, wherein the display medium further comprises a compound of formula V and/or VII,
r9 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; r10 each independently represents an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
r13 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; r14 each independently represents an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the compound of formula V is contained in an amount of 0 to 10%, preferably 0 to 9%, more preferably 0 to 8%, and most preferably 0 to 7%; the compound of formula VII is present in an amount of 0-7%, preferably 1-6%, more preferably 2-5%, and most preferably 3-4%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the display medium further comprises a compound of formula VIII,
r15 to R16 each independently represent an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the compound of formula VIII is contained in an amount of 0 to 12%, preferably 2 to 10%, more preferably 4 to 8%, and most preferably 5 to 7%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
The display device of the invention, wherein the bulk impedance of the polyimide PI alignment layer is 4.2 x 1015Omega cm, the voltage holding ratio is 99.5%.
The display device according to the present invention, wherein the thickness of the liquid crystal layer is 4 μm.
The inventors found that a display device of the ADS display mode obtained using the compound of formulae I to III containing a specific content as a display medium has a low flicker value, particularly a flicker value of not more than 0.5%.

Furthermore, it should be understood that various changes, substitutions, deletions, modifications or adjustments may be made by those skilled in the art after reading the disclosure of the present invention, and such equivalents are also within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
In the present invention, all parts are parts by weight unless otherwise specified; all percentages are by weight; the temperature unit is ℃. Δ n represents an optical anisotropy value at 25 ℃ and 589 nm; Δ represents a value of dielectric anisotropy at 25 ℃ and 1 kHz; γ 1 represents a rotational viscosity (mPa · s) measured at 25 ℃;cp denotes a clearing point. Flicker value F at 25 deg.C, using optical characteristic measurement system AUTRONIC MELCHERS DMS 505 of liquid crystal display screen to use display medium and having a cell thickness of 4 μm for ADS mode liquid crystal device (upper substrate is glass substrate, lower substrate is ADS array substrate, liquid crystal layer is arranged between the upper and lower substrates, polyimide PI alignment layer is arranged on inner surface of the upper and lower substrates, and bulk impedance is 4.2 × 1015Ω · cm, voltage holding ratio of 99.5%) was measured by applying a 5V, 60Hz square wave electric field.
In the present invention, the liquid crystal compound is represented by a three-stage abbreviation of (cyclic unit + linker) + left-side group + right-side group. Wherein,

1. A display device of a driving recorder comprises an upper substrate and a lower substrate, wherein the upper substrate is a glass substrate or a color film substrate, the lower substrate is an ADS array substrate, a liquid crystal layer is arranged between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and polyimide PI alignment layers are arranged on the inner surfaces of the upper substrate and the lower substrate; characterized in that the display medium of the liquid-crystal layer comprises at least one compound of formula I, at least one compound of formula II and at least one compound of formula VI,
r1 to R2 each independently represent an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
r3 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; r4 each independently represents an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
R11-R12 each independently represent an alkyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms or an alkenyl group of 2-6 carbon atoms.
2. The display device of claim 1, wherein the compound of formula I is present in an amount of 3-11%; the content of the compound of the formula II is 7-16%; the content of the compound of the formula VI is 30-38%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
4. A display device according to claim 3, wherein the compound of formula III is present in an amount of 16-23%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
5. The display device of claim 1, wherein the display medium further comprises a compound of formula IV,

7. The display device of claim 6, wherein the compound of formula V is present in an amount of 0-10%; the content of the compound of the formula VII is 0-7%; based on the total weight of the display medium.
9. The method of claim 1The display device of (1), wherein the bulk resistance of the polyimide PI alignment layer is 4.2 × 1015Omega cm, the voltage holding ratio is 99.5%.
10. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the liquid crystal layer is 4 micrometers.
