Abstract
The invention relates to a pencil that can be sharpened, which has a sharpening region and a holding region in this order in the longitudinal direction, wherein a marking is provided as an indicator for marking whether the holding region is below a predetermined minimum length. According to the invention, it is provided that the marking is visible in the sharpened region.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a pencil that can be sharpened, which has a sharpening region and a holding region in succession in the longitudinal direction, wherein a marking is provided which indicates as an indicator whether the holding region is below a predetermined minimum length or is absent.
Background
Pens of the above type are known, for example, from CN 201824707U. The pen is provided with a scale on its exterior, on the basis of which the length of the holding area can be read.
The problem to be solved is that the (sharpenable) pen after a longer period of use is no longer of sufficient length to be ergonomic. The pen is too short. If the pen is not dealt with in short lengths but is used further, adverse consequences can occur, in particular for children or teenagers.
However, a problem with the known pens is that the scale applied externally is hardly felt by especially children and teenagers when in use, so that no attention is paid at all to the fact that the length of the scale stylus is no longer sufficient for ergonomic requirements when in use.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to improve a pen of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the marking used as indicator draws more attention, so that ergonomic applications can be interrupted.
The proposed object is achieved according to the invention by making the marking visible in the sharpened region.
Because the sharpened region "creeps" along the longitudinal axis during use of the pen, the mark is more noticeable as it relates to the predetermined minimum length of the holding area than if the mark was permanently visible as described above. In other words, the appearance of the pen and in particular the visibility of the markings varies according to the length of the holding area, thereby clearly providing a signal to the user when the holding area is below a predetermined minimum length.
The exact size of the minimum length is related to who uses the pen. For example in the range of 6cm to 9 cm.
A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the marking occurs in the sharpened region below the minimum length of the holding region. This design is based on the fact that after a minimum length, the user can see approximately where the pen is not visible before looking at the pen, i.e. the markings. Whereby the user notices a lower than minimum length.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking is visible in the sharpening region below a minimum length of the holding region. In other words, the design according to the invention provides that the marking is completely visible or remains visible once below the minimum length of the holding region.
The pen can in principle be constructed arbitrarily. Preferably, however, the pen has two small plates made of a sharpenable material, between which the refill is inserted, wherein all three parts are glued to one another. The platelets may be made of wood, for example.
According to the invention, it is also preferably provided that the adhesive bonding the core of the pen and/or the at least one small plate is colored locally, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the pen, in order to form the marking. Because the adhesive in the tapered region is visible, the adhesive is noticeable as it is colored and can act as an indicator to indicate whether the retention area is below a predetermined minimum length.
In addition or alternatively, it can be provided according to the invention that the outer side of the core and/or the surface of at least one of the platelets facing the core or the other platelet is locally colored, as seen in the longitudinal direction of the pen, to form a marking.
Again, the colored section in the sharpened area is visible and at the same time can be used as an indicator.
According to the invention, the coloring is more preferably carried out by painting and/or by applying a luminescent agent.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the pen has a cap which is inserted onto the sharpened region to protect the pen core and which is inserted onto the end of the pen opposite the sharpened region to extend the holding region.
As mentioned above, the cap can on the one hand serve as a protection or sheath for the cartridge. But can also be used to lengthen the holding area no longer long enough from an ergonomic point of view so that the pen can be easily continued to be used even if the holding area is actually too short for ergonomic requirements.
The cap may be vented for safety reasons.
Finally, it is preferably provided according to the invention that the cap compensates for tolerances of the paint at the end of the pen in the fitted state. Thereby ensuring that the cap can be properly sleeved onto the end of the pen, thereby prolonging the retention area.
Drawings
The invention is explained in detail below with reference to the drawings with additional details according to preferred embodiments. To this end, it is shown that:
figure 1a shows in a perspective view a pen and a sleeved cap according to a first embodiment of the invention,
fig. 1b shows the same view as fig. 1a, but without the cap,
Figure 1c shows a longitudinal section through the pen according to figure 1a,
fig. 1d shows the same view as fig. 1a, but after multiple shortening sharpenings and with a cap telescoped behind,
FIG. 1e shows the same view as FIG. 1d, but in a longitudinal section, an
Fig. 2 shows the same view as fig. 1, but for a second embodiment.
Detailed Description
The pen according to fig. 1 is generally designated by reference numeral 10. The pen has a hand grip recess, one of which is exemplarily indicated by reference numeral 12. The grip recess 12 is located in the holding area 13 of the pen. The shape of the pen is triangular in cross-section. Relates to a pencil. In principle, however, the invention can be used with all pens that can be sharpened.
In fig. 1a and 1c, a cap 15 is placed over the sharpened region 14 (fig. 1b) of the pen. The cap 15 is vented so that it does not pose a hazard when swallowed.
The pen 10 has indicia 16 located in the rear of the pen 10. The pen is made by adhering two small plates to each other with the core 18 of the pen 10 between the two small plates. The corresponding portion of the adhesive is colored in order to form the indicia 16.
When the holding area 13 of the pen 10 falls below a predetermined minimum length, which in the illustrated embodiment is 7cm, a marking 16 appears in the sharpened area 14. This state is shown in fig. 1d and 1 e. The user of the pen 10 is indicated by the presence of the marking 16 in the sharpened region 14 below a predetermined minimum length of 7cm, so that the pen 10 can no longer be used without further measures due to ergonomics. However, in order to be able to continue using the pen, in the exemplary embodiment shown, a cap 15 can be slipped onto the rear end of the pen 10, as shown in fig. 1d and 1e, whereby the cap 15 extends the holding region 13, so that the pen 10 can be continued to be used without problems in terms of ergonomics.
The pen according to fig. 2 is in principle constructed as according to fig. 1, so that the same reference numerals can also be used for corresponding parts. The only difference is that the indicia 16 do not appear in the hand grip recess 12. This is achieved in that the coloured portion of the glue, which exhibits the markings 16, has a smaller wall thickness in the radial direction than in the embodiment according to fig. 1, so that the glue does not reach the bottom of the grip recess 12. In the pen according to fig. 2, the marking is thus not visible as long as the holding area 13 is sufficiently long. The marking is visible only if the holding area 13 is below a predetermined minimum length of 7cm, to be precise only in the tip-removed area 14.
The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, in the claims and in the drawings may be essential for the realization of the various embodiments of the invention both individually and in any combination.
