Technical Field
The present invention relates to a display panel and a display device, and more particularly, to a flexible display panel and a display device with four curved surfaces emitting light.
Background
With the continuous development of technology, people have higher and higher requirements on display devices. As is well known, an organic light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display device has received much attention due to its advantages of narrow frame, capability of being rolled, and easy carrying.
Nowadays, special and novel designs for mobile phones to board mobile devices are in a variety, and comprehensive screen designs become mainstream in the times. The display design with curved surfaces on two sides is available on the market, and the display design is novel and attractive, and can realize a comprehensive screen effect more easily. However, for the four-side bending, a technology that the bay area edge can emit light is realized, and no product is seen yet. If can realize this design, comprehensive screen effect will be more outstanding, and the screen accounts for than will increase substantially, and practicality and aesthetic property will obtain bigger promotion.
For the panel design, the conventional element panel cannot satisfy the design of the four-side curved surface light emitting display, and fig. 1 shows the conventional design, if the four-side curved surface display is realized, a curved surface needs to be formed along the axial positions of the X bending line 100 and the Y bending line 200 shown in the figure, so that at the intersection position of the X bending line 100 and the Y bending line 200, namely four corners, a wrinkle phenomenon of a display area or a non-display area may occur, and the wrinkle phenomenon not only causes the display function of the corner area to be lost, but also causes a peeling (peeling) phenomenon to easily occur to a film layer at the position due to the fact that the stress cannot be released, thereby causing the package failure, the water oxygen invasion and finally the loss of the functionality.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a display panel and a display device, wherein light emitted from a display region is guided into an edge (border) region by a light guide layer, so that the edge region exhibits a stereoscopic light emitting effect.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a display panel including a display region and a non-display region, the display panel including: a substrate; the packaging layer is arranged on the surface of one side of the substrate; the light guide layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the packaging layer; the cover plate is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the light guide layer; the substrate, the light guide layer and the cover plate cover the display area and the non-display area, and light emitted by the display area is transmitted to the non-display area through the light guide layer.
More specifically, the encapsulation layer includes: a first dielectric layer; the ink-jet printing layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the first medium layer; and the second medium layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the ink-jet printing layer.
More specifically, the optical packaging structure further comprises optical cement which is arranged in a stacked mode and arranged between the packaging layer and the cover plate.

The display panel and the display device provided by the invention have the advantages that the light emitted by the display area is guided into the edge area through the light guide layer, so that the edge area presents a three-dimensional light emitting effect, the phenomenon of the periphery of the display area caused by the edge areas of four sides is successfully avoided, and the design of the array substrate of the panel is not required to be changed due to the simple module process, so that the applicability and the feasibility are improved.

Detailed Description
The invention is further illustrated by the following figures and examples. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not limiting. It should be further noted that, for the convenience of description, only some of the structures related to the present invention are shown in the drawings, not all of the structures.
The directional terms used in the present invention, such as "up", "down", "front", "back", "left", "right", "top", "bottom", etc., refer to the directions of the attached drawings only. Accordingly, the directional terms used are used for explanation and understanding of the present invention, and are not used for limiting the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of a conventional display panel structure in the prior art, in which a display area can display different pictures according to different data signals in a driving circuit, but a non-display area cannot emit light because no light-emitting layer material exists and no driving circuit exists.
In an embodiment of the invention, as shown in fig. 3, the display panel includes a substrate 1, an encapsulation layer 2, a light guide layer 3, and a cover plate 4. The package layer 2 is disposed on a side surface of the substrate 1, the light guide layer 3 is disposed on a side surface of the package layer 2 away from the substrate 1, the cover plate 4 is disposed on a side of the light guide layer 3 away from the substrate 1, as shown in the figure, the display panel is divided into a display area 101 and a non-display area 102, the non-display area is also generally called a border area (border), and the substrate 1, the package layer 2, the light guide layer 3 and the cover plate 4 cover the display area 101 and the non-display area 102.
Wherein, encapsulation layer 2 includes: the ink-jet printing device comprises a first medium layer 21, an ink-jet printing layer 22 and a second medium layer 23, wherein the ink-jet printing layer 22 is positioned between the first medium layer 21 and the second medium layer 23.
In this embodiment, the display panel further includes optical cement 5 stacked on each other, the optical cement 5 is located between the light guide layer 3 and the cover plate 4, and a touch layer 6 and a polarizer 7 are further disposed between the two layers of optical cement 5.
The substrate 1 is further provided with a data line 8 in a direction away from the cover plate 4.
The same structure as the prior art is not described in detail, but the present invention is different from the prior art in that a light guide layer 3 is added on the encapsulation layer 2, and since the light guide layer 3 covers the display area 101 and the non-display area 102, the light emitted from the display area 101 can be transmitted to the non-display area 102 through the light guide layer 3, so that the non-display area 102 generates a light emitting effect, and thus, the display effect of the four-sided curved surface light emission of the display panel can be realized.
The invention also provides a display device which comprises the display panel and can realize the display effect of the four-side curved surface luminescence of the display device.
In summary, according to the display panel and the display device provided by the invention, the light emitted from the display area is guided into the edge area through the light guide layer, so that the edge area presents a three-dimensional light emitting effect, the phenomenon of the display area caused by the four edge areas is successfully avoided, and the design of the array substrate of the panel is not required to be changed due to the simple module process, so that the applicability and the feasibility are improved.
The present invention is not limited to the above preferred embodiments, and any modifications, equivalent substitutions and improvements made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the protection scope of the present invention.

Claims (10)

1. A display panel including a display region and a non-display region, the display panel comprising:
a substrate;
the packaging layer is arranged on the surface of one side of the substrate;
the light guide layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the packaging layer; and
the cover plate is arranged on one side of the light guide layer far away from the substrate;
the substrate, the light guide layer and the cover plate cover the display area and the non-display area, and light emitted by the display area is transmitted to the non-display area through the light guide layer;
the display panel comprises a bottom side, a light emitting side and an edge side, wherein the edge side is connected between the bottom side and the light emitting side, the bottom side, the light emitting side and the edge side jointly surround the display area and the non-display area, the part, located in the non-display area, of the light guide layer comprises a main body part and an edge part, the main body part is located between the bottom side and the light emitting side and extends along the extending direction of the bottom side, and the edge part extends from the end part of the main body part towards the direction close to the bottom side and is close to the edge side.
2. The display panel of claim 1, wherein the encapsulation layer comprises:
a first dielectric layer;
the ink-jet printing layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the first medium layer; and
and the second medium layer is arranged on the surface of one side of the ink-jet printing layer, which is far away from the substrate.
3. The display panel of claim 1, further comprising a laminated optical adhesive disposed between the encapsulation layer and the cover plate.
4. The display panel according to claim 3, further comprising:
the touch layer is arranged between the two layers of optical cement; and
and the polaroid is arranged between the two layers of optical cement and is arranged on one side surface of the touch layer far away from the substrate.
5. The display panel of claim 1, further comprising a data line disposed on a surface of the substrate away from the cover plate.
6. A display device, comprising:
a display panel including a display region and a non-display region, the display panel comprising:
a substrate;
the packaging layer is arranged on the surface of one side of the substrate;
the light guide layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the packaging layer; and
the cover plate is arranged on one side, far away from the substrate, of the light guide layer;
the substrate, the light guide layer and the cover plate cover the display area and the non-display area, and light emitted by the display area is transmitted to the non-display area through the light guide layer;
the display panel comprises a bottom side, a light emitting side and an edge side, wherein the edge side is connected between the bottom side and the light emitting side, the bottom side, the light emitting side and the edge side jointly surround the display area and the non-display area, the part, located in the non-display area, of the light guide layer comprises a main body part and an edge part, the main body part is located between the bottom side and the light emitting side and extends along the extending direction of the bottom side, and the edge part extends from the end part of the main body part towards the direction close to the bottom side and is close to the edge side.
7. The display device of claim 6, wherein the encapsulation layer comprises:
a first dielectric layer;
the ink-jet printing layer is arranged on the surface of one side, far away from the substrate, of the first medium layer; and
and the second medium layer is arranged on the surface of one side of the ink-jet printing layer, which is far away from the substrate.
8. The display device of claim 6, further comprising a laminated optical adhesive disposed between the encapsulation layer and the cover plate.
9. The display device of claim 8, further comprising:
the touch layer is arranged between the two layers of optical cement; and
and the polaroid is arranged between the two layers of optical cement and is arranged on one side surface of the touch layer far away from the substrate.
