The socket body 10 includes a bottom wall 11, a pair of socket peripheral walls 12 formed by extending upward from two longitudinal sides of the bottom wall 11, an island portion 13 formed by protruding upward from the middle of the bottom wall 11, socket guide portions 15 formed at two lateral sides of the socket body 10, a plurality of terminal slots 14 opened on the bottom wall 11, and a plug cavity 16 formed between the island portion 13 and the socket peripheral walls 12.
The plug cavity 16 is used for receiving the side wall of the board-to-board plug. The socket guide 15 includes a plug guide receiving cavity 153, a pair of lateral peripheral walls 151 located on both longitudinal sides of the plug guide receiving cavity 153, and one longitudinal peripheral wall 152 located laterally outside the plug guide receiving cavity 153. The body 312 and the strip 311 form a slit 314 at both longitudinal ends thereof, and the presence of the slit 314 and the through hole 313 facilitates the body 31 and the longitudinal peripheral wall 152 to be tightly combined. The strip material connection 315 corresponds to the position of the notch 155 at the top of the longitudinal peripheral wall 152.
The contact arm 32 includes a contact portion 321, a contact 323 stamped and protruded from the contact portion 321 into the plug guide receiving cavity 153 in a longitudinal direction, and a second solder leg 322 formed at the bottom of the contact portion 321. A bent portion 33 is formed between the fixed end portion 34 and the contact arm 32, and a through hole 341 and a third fillet 342 formed at a bottom side of the fixed end portion 34 are formed in the fixed end portion 34 in a penetrating manner in a longitudinal direction.
The socket terminal 20 includes a plurality of signal terminals 21 and a plurality of power terminals 22, and the width of the power terminal 22 is greater than the width of the signal terminal 21. The socket terminal 20 is inserted into the terminal groove 14 from the bottom to the top and fixed to the printed circuit board.
The socket fixing plate 30 is injection molded in the socket body 10. The body portion 31 is fitted into and fixed to the longitudinal outer peripheral wall 152, and the contact arm 32, the bent portion 33, and the fixed end portion 34 are fitted into the lateral outer peripheral wall 151. The strip material connecting portion 315 is located in the notch 155 at the top of the longitudinal peripheral wall 152, and the top end of the strip material connecting portion 315 is not higher than the upper surface of the longitudinal peripheral wall 152.

In an embodiment, the inner arc surface of the tape connecting portion 315 may be located at a side of the longitudinal peripheral wall 152 close to the plug guide receiving cavity 153 for guiding the insertion of the plug, so as to avoid damaging the socket body 10.
