Abstract

An AGC method for near field communication (PCD) reception is provided, comprising: in the process of one-time completed card reading transaction, after the PCD side sends a Wake UP A/B frame, the PCD side receives an ATQA/ATQB frame returned by the PICC, the RSSI of a received signal is calculated at the moment, when the frame is detected to start (SOF or TR1), the RSSI calculation is started for one time, and the RSSI register is updated to report software after the frame is completed.

Description

AGC method for near field communication PCD reception
Technical Field
The invention relates to an AGC method for an ISO/IEC 14443Type A/B NFC receiver
Background
In the NFC system, the distance and the direction of a received signal of a PCD side relative to a PICC are closely related, when the parameters of the PICC are changed, the strength and the quality of the signal can obviously change, and a fixed gain system cannot adapt to the situation.
Disclosure of Invention
The NFC system specified by ISO/IEC 14443 adopts a Load Modulation method, and the PICC side adopts a Passive mode and modulates based on a field emitted by the PCD, so that the influence of space and distance is large. When the distance of PICC becomes far away or the position takes place to overturn, signal strength that PCD side coil sensed can have obvious change to influence the wholeness ability of receiver.
The invention provides an AGC method based on the method, and the dynamic adjustment of the receiving gain is realized at a small cost. The method specifically comprises the following steps: in the process of one-time completed card reading transaction, after the PCD side sends a Wake UP A/B frame, the PCD side receives an ATQA/ATQB frame returned by the PICC, the RSSI of a received signal is calculated at the moment, when the frame is detected to start (SOF or TR1), the RSSI calculation is started for one time, and the RSSI register is updated to report software after the frame is completed.
The method mainly aims at a calculation method and a strategy of the RSSI of the ISO/IEC 14443Type A/B receiving signal, and a strategy of adjusting the PGA receiving gain by software, and the card reading transaction is only subjected to one-time receiving gain adjustment after the receiving of the PCD sent by the Wake UP A/B is completed.
Drawings
Fig. 1 is a flow chart of the AGC processing method of the present invention.
Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1, a frame is divided into four cases at the beginning. Where the red dots represent the positions where a valid start is detected (falling edge detection of subarrier) and the blue dots represent the positions where RSSI starts to be calculated. The software compares the RSSI value read back with the high and low threshold values related to the receiver signal strength, adjusts the receive gain and the threshold value related to the receiver peak detection (table lookup), and the subsequent transaction flow is performed under this condition.
Adjusting the gain of the receiving access PGA by using a software strategy to ensure that the RSSI of the signal is within a certain interval; and the adjustment of the receiving gain is only carried out once after the receiving of the PCD in the Wake UP A/B process is completed in each card reading transaction.
