Description

Sealing device and gear shifting system
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of sealing. More particularly, the present invention relates to a sealing device for a gear shift system.
Background
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a shifting system of an embodiment. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of a sealing device. As shown in fig. 1, the shifting system may include a shift fork 100, a shift shaft 200, and a sealing device 300. The shift fork 100 includes a cylinder 110. The shift shaft 200 passes through the cylinder tube 110 and remains fixed. Two inner chambers are defined between the radially inner surface of the cylinder tube 110 and the radially outer surface of the shift shaft 200. The two inner chambers are axially separated. Two pressure fluid passages are formed in the shift shaft 200, respectively communicating with the two inner chambers. A sealing device 300 is provided between the cylinder 110 and the shift shaft 200 for sealing the inner chamber.
As shown in fig. 2, the sealing device 300 includes a support member 310, a primary seal 320, and an O-ring 330. The primary seal 320 is accommodated radially outside the support member 310 in contact with the radially inner surface of the cylinder tube 110. The O-ring 330 is accommodated radially inside the support member 310 in contact with the radially outer surface of the shift shaft 200. The support member 310 is formed with an exhaust groove 340. When pressure fluid is injected into the communicating inner chambers through the pressure fluid passage, the pressure fluid will push the shift fork 100 and the sealing device 300 to move to one side or the other in the axial direction. Upon initial flow of pressurized fluid into the inner chamber, the pressurized fluid will force air in the inner chamber to flow out pushing the sealing lip of the primary seal 320 open and vent to the external environment via the vent groove 340.
In this seal design, the primary seal and the O-ring are axially aligned and cannot be radially stacked due to the limited radial space. This will result in an increased axial space of the gear shift system. Furthermore, the force with which the sealing lip of the primary seal opens cannot be precisely controlled when venting air from the inner chamber.
For this reason, a more compact sealing device and gear shifting system are needed.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a sealing device and a gear shift system which are compact. Another object of the present invention is to provide a sealing device and a gear shift system having a more excellent sealing effect. Another object of the present invention is to provide a sealing device and a gear shift system that enable precise control of air venting and pressurized liquid flow rate.
One aspect of the present invention provides a sealing device for sealing an internal chamber between a radially inner surface of a first member and a radially outer surface of a second member, wherein the first member and the second member are relatively slidable in an axial direction, the sealing device comprising: an annular seal having an axially inner side proximate the inner chamber and an axially outer side distal from the inner chamber when used in cooperation with the first member and the second member, wherein the seal includes a vent hole extending from the axially inner side of the seal such that the axially inner side and the axially outer side of the seal are communicable through the vent hole; a blocking piece arranged at the exhaust hole for closing and opening the exhaust hole; and a spring connected to the block piece, wherein the spring applies a biasing force to the block piece in a rest state so that the block piece closes the vent hole. According to the embodiments of the present invention, by setting the biasing force of the spring, the force by which the block piece of the sealing device is opened can be accurately controlled, and the flow rate of the pressure liquid can be kept stable.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the seal comprises a first sealing lip extending inwards in the radial direction and/or a second sealing lip extending outwards in the radial direction. The sealing lip may effectively provide a sealing effect and reduce wear of the sealing device during relative sliding of the first and second members.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the sealing device further comprises a skeleton fixed to the sealing member to support the sealing member.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the sealing member further includes a vent groove extending from an axially outer side of the sealing member, the vent hole being capable of communicating with the axially outer side of the sealing member through the vent groove.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the seal is formed on the carcass by vulcanization.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the first seal lip and the second seal lip extend toward the axially inner side in the axial direction. The sealing lip extends towards the inner chamber and may thus have a self-sealing effect. The greater the force of the pressure liquid acting on the sealing lip, the tighter the contact of the sealing lip with the first member/second member, thereby more effectively sealing the pressure liquid in the inner chamber.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the closure is connected to the spring on a side remote from the venting opening.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the closure has a conical shape on the side facing the venting opening to enable at least partial insertion into the venting opening.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the venting opening has a conical shape on the side facing the closure piece, which is adapted to the closure piece.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the first sealing lip and the second sealing lip at least partially overlap in the radial direction. The sealing lips overlap each other in the vertical direction, which makes it possible to reduce the axial dimensions of the sealing device and of the gear shift system.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the seal further comprises a support portion for maintaining contact with the radially outer surface of the second member.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the sealing member further includes a housing portion communicating with the air discharge groove, wherein the blocking piece and the spring are disposed in the housing portion, and the air discharge hole communicates with the air discharge groove through the housing portion when the blocking piece is moved by an urging force against a biasing force of the spring and opens the air discharge hole.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the first member is a cylinder of a shift fork and the second member is a shift shaft.
Another aspect of the present invention provides a shift system, comprising: a shift fork including a cylinder; a shift shaft passing through the cylinder, wherein the shift fork is slidable along the shift shaft, the cylinder and the shift shaft defining an internal chamber; and a sealing device according to an embodiment of the present invention for sealing an inner chamber between a cylinder of the shift fork and the shift shaft.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention are described with reference to the drawings. The following detailed description and drawings are illustrative of the principles of the invention, which is not limited to the preferred embodiments described, but is defined by the claims. The invention will now be described in detail with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, some of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. The following description refers to the accompanying drawings, in which like reference numerals refer to the same or similar elements in different drawings unless otherwise indicated. The aspects described in the following exemplary embodiments do not represent all aspects of the present invention. Rather, these aspects are merely exemplary of the systems and methods according to the various aspects of the present invention as recited in the appended claims.
The invention provides a sealing device for a gear shifting system. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a shifting system according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3, the shifting system may include a shift fork 10, a shift shaft 20, and a sealing device 30. The other structure of the shift system shown in fig. 3, except for the seal device 30, is substantially the same as that of the shift system shown in fig. 1, and will not be described again.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the sealing means 30 may comprise a sealing member 31, a blocking member 32 and a spring 33. In an exemplary embodiment, the sealing device 30 may also include a skeleton 34. The backbone 34 is connected to the seal 31 to provide support for the seal 31. In some embodiments, the seal 31 may be formed directly on the backbone 34 by a vulcanization process. The armature 34 may be made of metal or other hard material.
The seal 31 is substantially annular. The seal 31 has an axially inner side close to the inner chamber of the gear shift system and an axially outer side remote from the inner chamber. The sealing member 31 has a vent hole 35. The vent hole 35 communicates directly with the inner chamber axially inside the seal 31.
In an exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, the seal 31 may include a receptacle 36. The block piece 32 and the spring 33 may be disposed in the accommodation portion 36. The sealing member 31 is provided at the discharge hole 35 for closing and opening the discharge hole 35. In an exemplary embodiment, the spring 33 is a compression spring. As shown in fig. 3, the spring 33 is connected at one end thereof to the block piece 32 and at the other end to the sealing member 31 or the skeleton 34. In the rest state, the spring 33 applies a biasing force to the block piece 32, so that the block piece 32 is pressed against the exhaust hole 35 and closes the exhaust hole 35.
According to some embodiments of the invention, the closure 32 may have a conical shape on the side facing the vent hole 35, and the vent hole 35 has a conical shape matching the closure 32 on the side facing the closure 32. Thereby, the block piece 32 may be at least partially inserted into the vent hole 35. Since the vent hole 35 and the closing member 32 have shapes matching each other, the movement of the closing member 32 when opening or closing the vent hole 35 can be made smoother, facilitating stable control of the discharge of air from the inner chamber and the flow rate of the pressure liquid.
In some embodiments, seal 31 may also include vent groove 37. The venting groove 37 communicates directly with the outside environment axially outside the seal 31. In the exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, the vent groove 37 communicates with the accommodating portion 36. When the block piece 32 opens the vent hole 35, the inner chamber communicates with the external environment through the vent hole 35, the housing portion 36, and the vent groove 37 in this order.
According to some embodiments of the invention, the seal 31 may also include sealing lips 38 and 39. The sealing lip 38 extends outward in the radial direction so as to be contactable with a radially inner surface of the cylinder of the shift fork 10. The seal lip 39 extends inward in the radial direction so as to be contactable with the radially outer surface of the shift shaft 20. In the exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, the seal lips 38 and 39 each extend in the axial direction toward the axially inner side of the seal 31. According to an embodiment of the invention, the sealing lips 38 and 39 may at least partially overlap in the radial direction.
In some embodiments, seal 31 further includes a support 41. The support portion 41 may be held in contact with a radially outer surface of the shift shaft 20.
During operation, when pressure fluid is injected into the communicating inner chambers through the pressure fluid channels, the pressure fluid will force the air in the inner chambers to apply a force to the closure member 32. When this force is sufficient to overcome the biasing force of the spring 33, the closure 32 will be pushed away and open the vent hole 35, so that air will be discharged to the outside environment via the vent hole 35, the receptacle 36 and the vent groove 37.
The seal 31 described above comprises two sealing lips. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. According to an embodiment of the invention, the seal 31 may have only a sealing lip for contact with the shift fork or only a sealing lip for contact with the shift shaft. Alternatively, the seal 31 may not have a sealing lip.
The sealing device is described above as being applied in a gear shifting system. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. A sealing device according to an embodiment of the invention may be used to seal an inner chamber between a radially inner surface of a first member and a radially outer surface of a second member, wherein the first member and the second member are relatively slidable in an axial direction.
The closure 32 is described above as being connected to the spring 33 on the side remote from the vent hole 35. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. The closure 32 and the spring 33 may also be arranged in other ways according to embodiments of the invention. For example, the spring 33 may be an extension spring, and the block piece 32 is connected to the spring 33 at a side close to the exhaust hole 35.
The above describes that the exhaust hole 35 communicates with the outside environment through the accommodation portion 36 and the exhaust groove 37. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. Vent 35 may also communicate with the external environment in other ways according to embodiments of the invention. For example, the vent hole 35 may extend directly from the axially inner side to the axially outer side of the seal 31.
While the invention has been described with reference to exemplary embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the construction and methods of the embodiments described above. On the contrary, the invention is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements. In addition, while the various elements and method steps of the disclosed invention are shown in various example combinations and configurations, other combinations, including more, less or all, of the elements or methods are also within the scope of the invention.
