The present invention provides a display panel including, but not limited to, the following embodiments and combinations of the following embodiments.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 1, the display panel 100 includes a first region 01 and a second region 02, wherein the first region 01 has a curved surface shape, and the second region 02 has a planar shape. When the first area 01 is tiled, as shown in fig. 2, the display panel 100 includes: an array substrate 101; a pixel defining layer 102, wherein the pixel defining layer 102 includes a plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 and a plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022, the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 are disposed in the first area 01, the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022 are disposed in the second area 02, and the thickness of the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 is greater than that of the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022; and a light emitting layer including a plurality of light emitting portions 1031, one corresponding light emitting portion 1031 being provided between two adjacent first pixel defining portions 1021, between two adjacent second pixel defining portions 1022, and between the adjacent first pixel defining portion 1021 and the second pixel defining portion 1022.
The array substrate 101 includes a substrate and a thin film transistor layer formed by patterning an upper surface of the substrate, the substrate may be a glass substrate, the glass substrate may include at least one of quartz powder, strontium carbonate, barium carbonate, boric acid, boric anhydride, aluminum oxide, calcium carbonate, barium nitrate, magnesium oxide, tin oxide, and zinc oxide, and the thin film transistor layer may be made of at least one material selected from a low-temperature polysilicon material, an oxide material, and an amorphous silicon material.
It can be understood that the thicknesses of the first pixel defining parts 1021 and the second pixel defining parts 1022 can be greater than the thicknesses of the light emitting parts 1031, so as to better block the light emitted by the light emitting parts 1031 and avoid the light emitted by two adjacent light emitting parts 1031 intersecting at the top to generate color mixing.
Further, the cross-sectional shapes of the first pixel defining parts 1021 and the second pixel defining parts 1022 are both trapezoidal, and the length of the upper base of the trapezoid is smaller than the length of the lower base; still further, the included angle between the two sides and the bottom side of the cross-sectional patterns of the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 and the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022 may be set to be not more than 90 ° and not less than 30 °. When the light emitting part 1031 is manufactured, the corresponding first pixel defining part 1021 and the corresponding second pixel defining part 1022 can guide the material of the light emitting part 1031 to flow downward, so that the material of the light emitting part 1031 can be better spread on the array substrate 101, and the color mixing between different colors of pigments caused by the overflow of the material of the light emitting part 1031 can be avoided.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 2, a thickness of the first pixel defining part 1021 far from the second area 02 is larger than a thickness of the first pixel defining part 1021 near the second area 02. Specifically, in any two adjacent or non-adjacent first pixel defining parts 1021, the thickness of the first pixel defining part 1021 far from the second area 02 is larger than that of the first pixel defining part 1021 near the second area 02, that is, the thicknesses of the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 are gradually increased along the direction far from the second area 02.
It is understood that the thicknesses of the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 may be increased first and then decreased, or decreased first and then increased, or the thicknesses of the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 may be set randomly, as long as the thickness of the first pixel defining part 1021 with the smallest thickness in the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 is ensured to be larger than the thickness of any one second pixel defining part 1022 in the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, at least one side of each first pixel defining part 1021 near the second area 02 is curved. It is understood that, when the planar shape is the same as the projected shape of the curved shape along the same direction, and the area of the curved shape is larger than the area of the planar shape, that is, when at least one side of each first pixel defining part 1021 near the second region 02 is the curved shape, the area of at least one side of the first pixel defining part 1021 near the second region 02 can be increased, the area for reflecting the light emitted by the corresponding light emitting part 1031 can be further increased, and the area of the reflecting surface for reflecting the light emitted by the corresponding light emitting part 1031 can be increased.
It is understood that each first pixel defining part 1021 at least near the second region 02 may be convex, concave, alternating convex and concave, or alternatively arranged in multiple planes with different directions, as long as the area of each first pixel defining part 1021 at least near the second region 02 is larger than the area of each first pixel defining part 1021 at least near the second region 02 when the side is a continuous plane.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, at least one side of each first pixel defining part 1021 near the second area 02 is concave. It can be understood that, regarding the concave shape and the convex shape with equal areas, when the first pixel defining part 1021 is in the convex shape near the second region 02, the convex region in the convex shape can block part of the corresponding light emitting part 1031, so as to reduce the light emitted vertically by the corresponding light emitting part 1031. Therefore, the first pixel definition part 1021 is concave on the side closer to the second region 02, and the area of the reflection surface for reflecting the light emitted from the corresponding light emitting part 1031 can be increased. Further, each of the first pixel defining parts 1021 is curved on a side close to the second region 02 and on a side far from the second region 02. Furthermore, each of the first pixel defining parts 1021 is concave on a side close to the second area 02 and on a side far from the second area 02. Wherein reference is made to the above-mentioned related description with respect to the curved surface shape and the concave surface shape. It can be understood that, compared to the concave shape of only one side of each first pixel defining part 1021 close to the second area 02, the side areas of the first pixel defining parts 1021 on both sides of each light emitting part 1031 in the present embodiment are larger, so that the areas of the reflecting surfaces on both sides of each light emitting part 1031 for reflecting the light emitted by the light emitting part 1031 are increased.
It can be understood that, regardless of the shapes of the two sides of the first pixel defining part 1021, the width of the upper surface of the first pixel defining part 1021 is not greater than the width of the lower surface of the first pixel defining part 1021, so as to ensure that the first pixel defining part 1021 does not reduce the light emitting area of the corresponding light emitting part 1031 in the vertical direction.
The first pixel defining part 1021 and the second pixel defining part 1022 may be single-layer films, and the single-layer film may be formed of a material including at least one of a photoresist material and an organic material such as polyimide. For example, the single layer film may include polyimide, so that the first pixel defining part 1021 and the second pixel defining part 1022 have waterproof and oxygen-proof functions, and can effectively prevent external water and oxygen from entering the plurality of light emitting parts 1031, thereby avoiding reducing the lifetime of the plurality of light emitting parts 1031.
Further, the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 and the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022 may be a double-layer film layer, the double-layer film layer may include a hydrophilic layer and a hydrophobic layer disposed on the hydrophilic layer, and a constituent material of the hydrophilic layer at least includes one of a photoresist material or an organic material such as polyimide. It will be appreciated that when the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 and the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022 are the two-layer film, the hydrophilic layer can guide the raw material for forming the light emitting part 1031 to flow downward, and the hydrophobic layer can prevent the raw material for forming the light emitting part 1031 from overflowing the hydrophobic layer. Still further, the plurality of first pixel defining parts 1021 and the plurality of second pixel defining parts 1022 may be a plurality of layers, and the plurality of layers may include at least three layers, and the hydrophobicity of the layers of the plurality of layers gradually increases from bottom to top. It is understood that, according to the film layer raw material of each of the first pixel defining parts 1021 and the second pixel defining parts 1022, the first pixel defining parts 1021 and the second pixel defining parts 1022 may be formed by depositing a film by coating or inkjet printing and patterning.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the display panel 100 further includes: the reflection-increasing layer includes a plurality of reflection-increasing portions 1041, one reflection-increasing portion 1041 is disposed on at least one side of each first pixel defining portion 1021 close to the second region 02, and each reflection-increasing portion 1041 reflects at least light emitted by the corresponding light-emitting portion 1031.
The reflection increasing layer is mainly made of materials with reflection functions. Further, the constituent material of the reflection-increasing layer includes silver, for example, the reflection-increasing layer may include a single-layer film layer composed of a silver simple substance, or the reflection-increasing layer may include a single-layer film layer composed of a silver-magnesium alloy, or the reflection-increasing layer may include an indium tin oxide/silver/indium tin oxide composite layer. According to the composition material of the reflection-increasing layer, the reflection-increasing layer can be formed by at least one of evaporation, sputtering, exposure and etching.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 5, a reflection increasing portion 1041 is also disposed on a side of each first pixel defining portion 1021 away from the second area 02. It can be understood that, compared with the embodiment in fig. 4, the present embodiment increases the number of the reflection increasing portions 1041, that is, one reflection increasing portion 1041 is respectively disposed in each first pixel defining portion 1021 near two corresponding light emitting portions 1031, so that the light emitted by each light emitting portion 1031 can be reflected by the two reflection increasing portions 1041 on two sides of the light emitting portion 1031, and the number of the reflection surfaces for reflecting the light emitted by the corresponding light emitting portion 1031 is increased.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 6, when at least one side of each first pixel defining part 1021 near the second region 02 is in a curved surface shape, the shape of each reflection increasing part 1041 is consistent with the shape of the corresponding side of the first pixel defining part 1021, for example, each reflection increasing part 1041 may be attached to the corresponding side of the first pixel defining part 1021, the shape of the corresponding side of the first pixel defining part 1021 is not affected, and the thickness of each reflection increasing part 1041 may be thinner, so as to avoid reducing the light emitting area of the light emitting part 1031 in the vertical direction.
Wherein the plurality of light-emitting parts 1031 include a red light-emitting part, a green light-emitting part, and a blue light-emitting part, each color light-emitting part 1031 includes a corresponding hole transport layer, a corresponding organic light-emitting layer, and a corresponding electron transport layer, for example, the constituent material of the corresponding organic light-emitting layer may include quantum dot material of the corresponding color.
In an embodiment, the display panel 100 may further include an anode layer disposed between the array substrate 101 and the light emitting layer. Wherein the anode layer may be formed by a physical vapor deposition-development-wet etching process, and a material of the anode layer may be a reflective material. It is to be understood that the light emitting parts 1031 may be disposed between the adjacent first pixel defining parts 1021 and the second pixel parts 1022 on the anode layer, and further, the anode layer may include a plurality of anode parts that correspond one-to-one to the plurality of light emitting parts 1031.
In one embodiment, the display panel 100 further includes a cathode layer disposed on the plurality of first pixel defining layers 1021, the plurality of second pixel defining layers 1022, and the light emitting layer. Specifically, the cathode layer may be a whole conductive film covering the entire upper surfaces of the plurality of first pixel defining layers 1021, the plurality of second pixel defining layers 1022, and the light emitting layer. Further, the thickness of the cathode layer may be not less than nanometers and not more than nanometers, and the composition material of the cathode layer may be magnesium, silver, or an alloy material, so that the cathode layer is disposed on the plurality of first pixel defining layers 1021, the plurality of second pixel defining layers 1022, and the light emitting layer without leaving any space, and light emitted by the light emitting layer can be sacrificed less.
The invention provides a display panel and a display device, wherein the thickness of a plurality of first pixel definition parts of a curved surface area is set to be larger than that of a plurality of second pixel parts of a plane area, so that a light emitting part positioned between two adjacent first pixel definition parts and a light emitting part positioned between the adjacent first pixel definition parts and the adjacent second pixel definition parts can have a larger light emitting surface on the side surface of the corresponding first pixel definition part to reflect more light rays, so that the brightness of the curved surface area is increased, and the uniformity of the brightness of a display picture of a curved surface screen is improved.
The display panel and the display device provided by the embodiment of the present invention are described in detail above, and the principle and the embodiment of the present invention are explained in the present document by applying specific examples, and the description of the above embodiments is only used to help understanding the technical scheme and the core idea of the present invention; those of ordinary skill in the art will understand that: the technical solutions described in the foregoing embodiments may still be modified, or some technical features may be equivalently replaced; and such modifications or substitutions do not depart from the spirit and scope of the corresponding technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention.
