Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a schematic flow chart of a method for adjusting screen brightness according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The screen brightness adjusting method provided by the embodiment of the application is applied to electronic equipment, and the specific flow can be as follows:
step 101, setting an integration period of an ambient light sensor, and acquiring an original light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor according to the integration period.
In the embodiment of the present application, the original light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor is affected by the screen, and mainly includes factors such as the brightness of the screen and the color of the screen. The relationship between the real target light sensitivity value and the original light sensitivity value is as follows:
Count=ALS+Level*Color
the Count is an original light sensitivity value detected by an ambient light sensor, namely a numerical value directly detected by the sensor, the ALS is real ambient light, namely a target light sensitivity value, the Level is a numerical value contributed by the screen to the device, and the Color is a Color currently displayed by the screen.
In an embodiment, an integration period of the ambient light sensor may be set first, where the integration period of the ambient light sensor refers to a reporting rate at which the ambient light sensor reports collected ambient light data to each application program on an upper layer, and then an original light sensing value detected by the ambient light sensor is obtained according to the set integration period. The integration period of the ambient light sensor needs to be set to be small, for example, 10ms or 5ms, so as to ensure that the color of the screen and the real target light sensitivity value are unchanged when two consecutive original light sensitivity values are detected by the sensor. For example, a smaller preset time period may be set, and the integration period of the ambient light sensor may be set to be smaller than the preset time period.
Specifically, the raw light sensation value may be raw data detected by an ambient light sensor, and the sensor periodically obtains the raw data according to a preset integration period and reports the raw data to a processor of the electronic device.
Step 102, calculating a difference value between two adjacent original light sensitivity values, and determining whether the difference value is greater than a preset difference value, if so, executing step 103.
It should be noted that the screen brightness adjusting method provided in the embodiment of the present application can be applied to display screens with various dimming modes, such as PWM dimming and DC dimming. The method for adjusting the brightness of the screen in any dimming mode is to adjust the brightness of the screen by inserting black bars into the screen, that is, the black bars are refreshed in the screen according to a certain frequency, the pixel points corresponding to the screen area where the black bars are located are extinguished or the brightness is reduced, and the screen areas other than the black bars are lightened or have normal brightness. The effect of adjusting the whole brightness of the screen can be achieved by adjusting and refreshing the size or frequency of the black bars. Therefore, when the ambient light sensor detects the light sensation value, the detected light sensation value changes due to the fact that whether the black stripes pass through the corresponding area of the ambient light sensor or not.
In the embodiment of the present application, since a small integration period is set for the ambient light sensor in step 101, the two adjacent raw light sensation values can be regarded as being continuously obtained without changing the screen color and brightness and the real target light sensation value. Further, if it is determined that the difference between two adjacent original light sensitivity values is greater than the preset difference, the two original light sensitivity values are considered to be obtained under the condition that the black bar passes through and the black bar does not pass through the area corresponding to the sensor, and step 103 is further performed. If the difference between the two adjacent original light sensitivity values is not greater than the preset difference, it can be seen that the two original light sensitivity values are both obtained when a black bar passes through or does not pass through the area corresponding to the sensor, so that the two data cannot reflect error interference caused by the fact that no black bar passes through on the sensor, and the step 101 can be continuously executed to continuously obtain the original light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor.
The preset difference may be set to be greater than a jitter value of the ambient light sensor, because the sensor itself has jitter, and in order to eliminate the jitter influence of the device itself, the preset difference may be set to be greater than the jitter value of the sensor. In addition, the preset difference value needs to be set to be smaller than a value, that is, a difference between data detected when the sensor region passes through the black bar and data detected when the sensor region does not pass through the black bar.
In one embodiment, the ambient light sensor periodically acquires the detected raw light sensitivity values and calculates the difference between two adjacent raw light sensitivity values. For example, each time an original sensitivity value is detected, the difference between the sensitivity value and the last detected sensitivity value is calculated. Further, in order to reduce the calculation amount, when an original light sensation value is detected, it may be determined whether the original light sensation value changes, that is, whether the light sensation value is the same as the last detected value, if the light sensation value is the same as the last detected value, a difference value does not need to be calculated, the original light sensation value detected by the ambient light sensor is continuously obtained, and if the light sensation value is not the same as the last detected value, a difference value between the light sensation value and the last detected value may be further calculated, and it is determined whether the difference value is greater than a preset difference value. That is, the step of calculating the difference between two adjacent original light sensitivity values and determining whether the difference is greater than a preset difference includes:
judging whether the original light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor is the same as the original light sensitivity value detected last time;
if the difference value is not the same as the original light sensitivity value, calculating the difference value between the original light sensitivity value and the original light sensitivity value detected last time, and judging whether the difference value is larger than a preset difference value or not.
And 103, acquiring the brightness of the current display screen and calculating a target light sensation value according to the brightness and the two adjacent original light sensation values.
It should be noted that the brightness of the current display screen is not equal to the current basic brightness of the display screen, but refers to the Count value contributed by the display screen to the ambient light sensor. The number of the pixels needs to be calculated according to the basic brightness of the display screen and the number of the lighting pixel points in the corresponding area of the sensor. In the embodiment of the present application, the Level may be represented, for example, the Level1 may be represented as the brightness of the display screen when the area corresponding to the sensor has a black bar, and for example, the Level2 may be represented as the brightness of the display screen when the area corresponding to the sensor does not have a black bar.
Further, the two adjacent raw photo-sensitive values may be represented by Count1 and Count2, for example, Count1 represents the value detected by the sensor when the sensor corresponding region has a black bar, and Count2 represents the value detected by the sensor when the sensor corresponding region does not have a black bar. Count1 and Count2 can be expressed as:
Count1=ALS+Level1*Color;
Count2=ALS+Level2*Color。
since ALS and Color in the above two equations can be considered unchanged in the case of a short integration period of the sensor, ALS, i.e., the true target light sensitivity value, can be calculated by the above two equations:
ALS=(Level2*Count1-Level1*Count2)/(Level2-Level1)
the target light sensitivity value obtained through the calculation can eliminate the error influence caused by the existence of the black bars in the area corresponding to the ambient light sensor area, so that the accuracy of detecting the light sensitivity value is greatly improved. The calculation method in the application can be applied to various dimming modes such as DC and PWM, and is more widely applied.
And 104, adjusting the brightness of the display screen according to the target light sensation value.
And after the target light sensation value is obtained, the brightness of the display screen can be adjusted according to the target light sensation value. Specifically, the electronic device may preset a mapping relationship between the target light sensation value and the brightness value, so that after the target light sensation value is determined, the target brightness value corresponding to the target light sensation value is determined according to the mapping relationship, and backlight brightness adjustment is performed according to the target brightness value. In fact, the brightness value of the screen can be the basic brightness of the display screen.
In an embodiment, after the target light sensitivity value is calculated, the target light sensitivity value may be further smoothed, and the smoothed value is reported to the processor, so that the processor correspondingly adjusts the brightness of the display screen.
Further, it is considered that the user has different brightness usage habits when using different applications. Therefore, after the brightness value corresponding to the target light sensation value is determined in the corresponding relationship, the application program currently running by the electronic device can be further acquired, a brightness compensation value is generated according to the application program, and the final brightness of the display screen is set according to the brightness value corresponding to the target light sensation value and the brightness compensation value. Wherein the brightness compensation value may be positive (increasing based on the brightness value corresponding to the target light sensitivity value) or negative (decreasing based on the brightness value corresponding to the target light sensitivity value).
As can be seen from the above, the screen brightness adjusting method provided in the embodiment of the present application can set an integration period of the ambient light sensor, obtain the original light sensation value detected by the ambient light sensor according to the integration period, calculate the difference between two adjacent original light sensation values, and determine whether the difference is greater than a preset difference, if so, obtain the brightness of the current display screen, calculate the target light sensation value according to the brightness and the two adjacent original light sensation values, and adjust the brightness of the display screen according to the target light sensation value. According to the embodiment of the application, the original light sensitivity values detected by the two adjacent ambient light sensors are obtained, and the target light sensitivity value is calculated when the difference value of the two original light sensitivity values is larger than the preset value, so that the accuracy of ambient light detection can be improved, and further the screen brightness adjustment is more accurate.
The screen brightness adjusting method of the present application will be further described below on the basis of the method described in the above embodiment. Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is another schematic flow chart diagram of a screen brightness adjusting method according to an embodiment of the present application, where the screen brightness adjusting method includes:
step 201, setting an integration period of the ambient light sensor, and acquiring an original light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor according to the integration period.
In one embodiment, an integration period of the ambient light sensor may be set, and then a raw light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor may be obtained according to the set integration period. The integration period of the ambient light sensor needs to be set to be small, for example, 10ms or 5ms, so as to ensure that the color of the screen and the real target light sensitivity value are unchanged when two consecutive original light sensitivity values are detected by the sensor.
Step 202, calculating a difference between two adjacent original light sensitivity values, and determining whether the difference is greater than a preset difference, if so, executing step 203.
In the embodiment of the present application, since a small integration period is set for the ambient light sensor in step 201, the two adjacent raw light sensation values can be regarded as being continuously obtained without changing the screen color and brightness and the real target light sensation value. Further, if it is determined that the difference between the two adjacent original light sensitivity values is greater than the preset difference, the two original light sensitivity values are considered to be obtained under the condition that the black bar passes through and the black bar does not pass through the area corresponding to the sensor, and step 203 is further performed. If the difference between two adjacent original light sensitivity values is not greater than the preset difference, step 201 may be continuously performed to continuously obtain the original light sensitivity value detected by the ambient light sensor.
Step 203, acquiring the basic brightness of the current display screen.
In the embodiment of the present application, the basic brightness is a basic brightness value set for a pixel in a display screen without considering whether the display screen has a black bar refresh or not, a black bar size, and the like.
And 204, determining a display screen area corresponding to the ambient light sensor, and acquiring a dimming parameter of the display screen.
In an embodiment, since the ambient light needs to pass through the display screen to collect the value of the external ambient light, the display screen undoubtedly may interfere with the measurement of the light sensitivity value, and whether there is a black bar in the display screen may further interfere with the measurement of the light sensitivity value, so that the number of the lighted pixels in the display screen region corresponding to the ambient light sensor may be further obtained in this embodiment. In order to calculate the number of the above-mentioned lighted pixels, it is necessary to acquire a display screen region corresponding to the ambient light sensor and acquire a dimming parameter of the display screen, where the dimming parameter may include information such as a frequency of refreshing the black bars and a size of the black bars, and further description is not repeated in this application.
Step 205, calculating the number of the lighted pixels according to the dimming parameter and the plurality of pixels in the display screen area.
Further, after the display screen area corresponding to the ambient light sensor is obtained, the number of the lighted pixels in the area can be further calculated according to the dimming parameter. For example, there are 100 rows of pixels in the area, each row includes 10000 pixels, and when there is no black bar brushing, the lighted pixels in the area are all pixels, that is, 1000000 pixels. When a black bar is brushed, if the black bar occupies 16 rows of pixel points in the area, that is, 16 rows of pixel points are in an off state (or in a low-brightness state), so that the number of the pixel points lighted in the area is calculated to be 840000. That is, the step of calculating the number of the lighted pixels according to the dimming parameter and the plurality of pixels in the display screen area includes:
determining size information of a refreshed black bar area in the display screen according to the dimming parameter;
and calculating the number of the lighted pixel points in the display screen area according to the size information of the black bar area.
And step 206, calculating the brightness of the display screen according to the number of the lightened pixel points and the basic brightness.
In one embodiment, the brightness of the current display screen refers to a Count value contributed by the display screen to the ambient light sensor. The number of the pixels needs to be calculated according to the basic brightness of the display screen and the number of the lighting pixel points in the corresponding area of the sensor. For example, Level1 may be expressed as the brightness of the display screen when the area corresponding to the sensor has black bars, and Level2 may be expressed as the brightness of the display screen when the area corresponding to the sensor does not have black bars. And Count1 represents the value detected by the sensor when the sensor corresponding region has a black bar, and Count2 represents the value detected by the sensor when the sensor corresponding region does not have a black bar. Count1 and Count2 can be expressed as:
Count1=ALS+Level1*Color;Count2=ALS+Level2*Color。
since ALS and Color in the above two equations can be considered unchanged in the case of a short integration period of the sensor, ALS, i.e., the true target light sensitivity value, can be calculated by the above two equations:
ALS=(Level2*Count1-Level1*Count2)/(Level2-Level1)
further, the above-mentioned Level1 and Level2 can be calculated by the following formulas:
Level1=Hi*L(1-16/N);Level2=Hi*L
where Hi represents the number of pixels lit up in a segment of the same pixel area, each row has 16 pixels, and N is the total number of rows. In calculating ALS, level1 and level2 may be interpreted as intermediate variables, i.e., the Count value that the screen brightness contributes to the device. The target light sensitivity value obtained through the calculation can eliminate the error influence caused by the existence of the black bars in the area corresponding to the ambient light sensor area, so that the accuracy of detecting the light sensitivity value is greatly improved.
And step 207, calculating a target light sensation value according to the brightness and the two adjacent original light sensation values, and adjusting the brightness of the display screen according to the target light sensation value.
As can be seen from the above, the screen brightness adjusting method provided in this application embodiment can set an integration period of the ambient light sensor, obtain an original light sensation value detected by the ambient light sensor according to the integration period, calculate a difference between two adjacent original light sensation values, and determine whether the difference is greater than a preset difference, if so, obtain a basic brightness of the current display screen, determine a display screen region corresponding to the ambient light sensor, obtain a dimming parameter of the display screen, calculate the number of lit pixel points according to the dimming parameter and a plurality of pixel points in the display screen region, calculate a brightness of the display screen according to the number of lit pixel points and the basic brightness, calculate a target light sensation value according to the brightness and the two adjacent original light sensation values, and adjust the brightness of the display screen according to the target light sensation value.
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of a screen brightness adjusting device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The screen brightness adjusting device 30 is applied to an electronic device, the electronic device includes a display screen and an ambient light sensor arranged in a display screen area, and the screen brightness adjusting device 30 includes:
