In step S101, an original image displayed in a display screen thereof may be acquired. The original image refers to at least one image including a still picture, a moving picture, and an image video.
The original image may be transmitted by an image provider to the display device over a network. The accuracy or resolution of the original image may be relatively low.
In step S102, if the resolution of the original image is low, image enhancement may be performed on the original image.
In a specific implementation, one or more image enhancement models can be utilized to image enhance a portion or the entirety of the original image.
Specifically, after an original image is acquired, the original image may be detected, and if it is detected that the precision or resolution of the displayed original image is lower than a preset threshold, an image enhancement instruction may be sent to the network server to download one or more image enhancement models from the network server.
Wherein the network server and the display device can be connected through a network. The image enhancement instructions may include an enhancement level. The enhancement level may be one or more default levels set in advance.
Then, the server can calculate at least one image enhancement model according to the enhancement level and a plurality of preset image enhancement algorithms. The preset image enhancement algorithm may be an image enhancement algorithm in the prior art, such as a histogram equalization image enhancement algorithm, a logarithmic image enhancement algorithm, an exponential image enhancement algorithm, a high contrast preserving image enhancement algorithm, a laplacian image enhancement algorithm, and the like.
In a specific implementation, the network server can also store various image data with huge quantity and high resolution. When calculating the image enhancement model of the original image, the server may further determine the at least one image enhancement model by using various image data related to the original image as an original material in combination with the enhancement level and a plurality of preset image enhancement algorithms.
As a non-limiting example, the original image is a wash painting picture, and the web server stores a plurality of other wash painting pictures related to the wash painting picture. At this time, if the network server receives an image enhancement instruction from the display device, the network server may calculate one or more image enhancement models reaching the enhancement level by using other stored wash painting pictures based on an image enhancement algorithm in the prior art.
Further, the image enhancement instructions may include an enhancement level selected from a preset plurality of enhancement levels. The network server can respectively calculate according to different enhancement levels so as to obtain a plurality of image enhancement models reaching different enhancement levels.
Further, in the calculation process, the original image may also be divided into a plurality of different portions to obtain a plurality of local original images. Then, the network server may calculate its image enhancement model for each local original image separately. For example, the original image contains an overexposed person and other things that are normally exposed, and at this time, the original image may be divided into 2 parts, the overexposed person is separated from the other things, and a partial image containing the overexposed person is calculated to obtain an image enhancement model that can enhance the partial image.
Thereafter, the at least one image enhancement model may be downloaded from the network server. In a specific implementation, the image enhancement models at the various levels that it computes may be downloaded from the network server.
As an embodiment, when the at least one image enhancement model is a plurality of image enhancement models, the same portion of the original image may be subjected to superimposed image enhancement by using the plurality of image enhancement models to obtain an enhanced partial image. The enhanced partial image may then be superimposed with the original image to obtain an enhanced image, which may be referred to as a first enhanced image.
As a variation, when the at least one image enhancement model is a plurality of image enhancement models, the plurality of image enhancement models may be used to perform image enhancement on different portions of the original image to obtain enhanced partial images; the respective enhanced partial images may then be combined in superposition to obtain an enhanced image, e.g. the first enhanced image.
As a further variation, one or more image enhancement models may be used to enhance all regions of the original image to obtain the first enhanced image.
In step S103, the first enhanced image may be displayed, and the original image may be retained. Specifically, the first enhanced image may be resized and displayed in accordance with the size of the original image.
In a specific implementation, an image display icon may also be displayed in a display screen of the display device. The image display icon can be a graph and/or a character and is located at a preset position of the display screen. The preset position refers to a position having a minimum influence on a display image in the display screen, for example, an upper left corner, an upper right corner, or other positions of the display screen.
Further, the user can click the image display icon to operate the display image in the display screen to generate an image operation instruction of the user.
In a specific implementation, an image operation instruction of the user may be received, and if the image operation instruction is an image enhancement closing instruction, the first enhanced image may be hidden and the original image may be displayed. In a specific implementation, the image display icons may be hidden together. If the image operation instruction is an image enhancement instruction, the first enhanced image or the original image can be enhanced according to the image enhancement instruction, wherein an image enhancement model adopted when image enhancement is carried out is determined based on an enhancement level higher than that adopted by the first enhanced image. The obtained enhanced image has higher display resolution or precision and better image display quality.
In particular implementations, the user-selected enhancement level may be determined after the user operates the display device to send the user's image manipulation instructions. Thereafter, if the currently applied image enhancement model cannot achieve the predetermined enhancement effect, the switching to another image enhancement model may be automatically performed. If there is no image enhancement model locally capable of achieving the predetermined enhancement effect corresponding to the selected enhancement level, then another image enhancement model may be requested from the web server.
Those skilled in the art understand that, in practical applications, when sending the image enhancement instruction to the server, the server may include a plurality of different enhancement levels, and the server may issue a plurality of image enhancement models obtained according to the different enhancement levels to the display device together, so as to select different image enhancement models according to the image operation instruction of the user to enhance the original image or the first enhanced image.
Therefore, the image provider can make low-precision original pictures and/or original videos to save own storage space and cost. When the low-precision original picture and/or original video is sent to the display device, the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention can be adopted to provide the picture and/or original video with high display quality for the user, so that the flow data of the user can be saved; moreover, the user can still browse the pictures and videos with higher precision and higher resolution, and the browsing experience of the user is favorably improved.
Fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of an image display device of a display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
