There are mainly the following reasons: firstly, rainwater or seawater is easy to accumulate to form a corrosive environment; secondly, the electrolyte is exposed in high-temperature, high-humidity and high-salt ocean air for a long time to form a continuous electrolyte film, so that the electrochemical corrosion is accelerated; and thirdly, stress corrosion.
In order to protect equipment and slow down corrosion, the following main measures are adopted at present.
1. And (4) coating the anticorrosive paint on site. The method has the advantages of low operation cost and direct effect, but the operation site is limited by construction sites and equipment, most of the operation sites are manual operation, the outdoor coating construction under the high-temperature, high-salt and high-humidity environment is not ideal, the phenomena of bulging, coating falling and the like are easy to occur, the protection period is short, and the coating working strength is high.
2. And (4) additionally installing a flange sheath. Various flange sheaths exist in the current market, and can play a role in protection to a certain extent. However, in the marine environment, the flexible flange sheath has short service life and poor protection effect, and cannot really and effectively isolate corrosive air. Plastic and stainless steel sheaths cannot insulate air, and moreover require a certain installation space, are not suitable for use in compact working surfaces, and cannot protect fasteners at the same time.
3. Tape and grease protection. According to the summary experience, lubricating grease is firstly coated in a flange connecting gap, and then an adhesive tape is wound for protection. The method solves the problem of isolating corrosive air to a certain extent, combines the antirust function of the lubricating grease, and has ideal overall protection effect. However, under the combined action of the lubricating grease and the external environment, the adhesive tape is quickly aged and brittle and has a short protection period, so that the protective effect cannot be achieved, seawater or rainwater can be accumulated, and the corrosion is accelerated.
4. And (4) field elastomer protection. There are technical solutions proposed that field workers manually coat rubber elastomers and form protective structures after curing. The method has good protection effect, but the manual coating operation quality is not easy to control, the appearance is not easy to be regular, and the method is particularly not suitable for occasions with requirements on the appearance. In addition, the curing and forming are not easy to overhaul.
5. One patent (application No. 201521119716x) discloses an elastomer filled anti-corrosion structure, which is described as being filled with a special elastomer and then wrapped with anti-corrosion tape. The method can isolate the corrosive environment to a certain extent and has the anticorrosion effect, but has the following defects: firstly, the service life of the anti-corrosion adhesive tape can not be ensured in the marine environment; secondly, the elastomer is not easy to clean during maintenance; thirdly, the filler can not be used for corrosion prevention of the fastener; fourthly, construction tools and construction materials are not easy to obtain, and special tools and special fillers need to be purchased.
