Abstract
A C-shaped fixing device for the lower end of an annular fuel rod and a lower pipe seat comprises a cylindrical C-shaped fixing device, wherein the whole cylindrical C-shaped fixing device is C-shaped, and an opening of the cylindrical C-shaped fixing device is provided with a mounting cylinder; the lower end of the annular fuel rod is provided with a groove, and the lower end of the annular fuel rod is arranged on the lower tube seat through a cylindrical C-shaped fixing device. When the disassembly is needed, force towards two sides is applied from the lower end of the annular fuel rod and the opening of the lower pipe seat C-shaped fixing device, and therefore quick disassembly is achieved.
Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of nuclear fuel, and particularly relates to a C-shaped fixing device for the lower end of an annular fuel rod and a lower pipe seat.
Background
In the current fuel assembly design, a fuel rod is clamped by a positioning grid and fixed between an upper pipe seat and a lower pipe seat, and a certain gap exists between a lower end plug of the fuel rod and the lower pipe seat. When the spacer grids are loosened during the operation of the reactor, the clamping force is weakened and is not enough to fix the fuel rods, the fuel rods fall down, and the integrity of the fuel rods is possibly threatened and the failure probability of the fuel rods is increased in the process that the lower end plugs of the fuel rods fall down and collide with the lower pipe seats. In addition, under the condition that the spacer grids lose clamping force, the fuel rods falling on the lower tube seat can move up and down under the action of water flow lifting force, so that the friction between the fuel rods and the spacer grids and the collision probability between the fuel rods and the lower tube seat are increased, and the safety of the fuel rods is not facilitated.
The fuel rod with the free lower end plug is easy to generate flow-induced vibration in the process of scouring the coolant, and the contact position of the vibrating fuel rod and the positioning grid generates fretting abrasion, so that the cladding thickness of the fuel rod is reduced, even the cladding is broken, and radioactive substances possibly leak.
The annular fuel rod cools the fuel rod through the enclosed inner and outer coolant flow channels. With the operation of the reactor, tiny impurities, such as waste remained in the manufacturing process of components in the pressure vessel stack or in a main loop pipeline, or corrosion products formed in the operation process of the reactor, are easy to occur in a main system, so that the flow channel of the fuel rod is easily blocked, the central hole of the lower end plug is the only water inlet hole of the internal flow channel, and if the water inlet hole of the lower end plug is blocked, the flow of the internal flow channel of the annular fuel rod is reduced, the sufficient cooling capacity of the fuel rod cannot be maintained, and the safety of the fuel rod is threatened.

The lower end plug and the lower pipe seat are fixed through the lower end fixing piece, flow-induced vibration caused by scouring of the fuel rods by the coolant is reduced, fretting abrasion of the fuel rods is reduced, and the failure risk of the fuel rods is reduced.
