Abstract
The invention provides a nodular cast iron smelting secondary inoculation funnel, which comprises: the cylinder is fixed above the opening of the sprue box through a bracket, and the outlet part at the lower end of the cylinder is conical; supporting a baffle plate: fixed on the top of the cylinder; a gate plate: the conical cylinder outlet position is arranged at the lower end of the cylinder and is used for controlling the inoculation time and flow; and a conduit: the inoculant is arranged at the output end of the funnel and guides the inoculant flowing out from the outlet at the lower end of the cylinder body. The inoculant flowing out of the guide pipe is guided to ensure that the inoculant flows out and is fully converged and mixed with molten iron flow poured out of a ladle. Since the amount of molten iron in the ladle is known, the molten iron pouring time is determined by controlling the pouring speed thereof. The flowing time of the inoculant is controlled by adjusting the opening size of the gate plate, so that the coincidence of the flowing time of the inoculant and the pouring time of the molten iron of over 80 percent is ensured. And finally, the inoculant flows through the guide pipe to be merged with the molten iron flow.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of casting, in particular to a nodular cast iron smelting secondary inoculation funnel.
Background
In the process of producing and smelting the ductile iron parts, ferrosilicon composite material (inoculant) is used for carrying out instantaneous secondary inoculation on molten iron, and detailed description is shown in figure 1. In the inoculation process, the inoculation is not uniform and the nodularity is low due to improper operation. The produced casting has unstable quality, and the graphite spherical shape in the metallographic phase is not round and uniform in size, the carbide amount exceeds the standard and the like. The ductile iron material has low mechanical property and even can not meet the standard requirement. And the accident potential can be caused if the device is used.
The conventional secondary inoculation adopts the following main modes: 1. the inoculant is poured into the molten iron flow by a shovel manually, and the inoculant is uneven in adding amount and difficult to operate. 2. Directly throwing the inoculant to the bottom of a sprue box or a ladle and flushing the inoculant with molten iron. The method has poor inoculation effect and non-uniform chemical components. 3. The in-mold inoculation is to place an inoculant in a sand mold pouring channel and perform instantaneous inoculation when molten iron passes through the channel. The method can cause uneven inoculation, the generated slag cannot be discharged, and the casting has more slag holes.

A supporting block is welded on one side of the flashboard, and the stroke of the baffle plate can be adjusted by screwing an adjusting bolt in the supporting block, so that the pulling position of the movable baffle plate is finally determined. Finally, the inoculant flow is fixed by firmly fastening a nut.
When the molten iron secondary inoculation is carried out, the movable baffle is only required to be opened once, and the inoculant slides downwards along the cylinder wall under the action of gravity and inertia and is converged with molten iron flow through the guide of the guide pipe.
In the production process, an operator needs to adjust the opening size of the flashboard according to the ladle turning time and the inoculant amount, and the flowing time is determined. And a certain amount of inoculant is filled into the cylinder according to the process requirements, and the instantaneous inoculation operation can be completed by opening the flashboard once during pouring. When inoculation is not needed, inoculation can be stopped only by closing the flashboard.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following advantages:
1. light in weight, easy to install, easy to operate. The weight of the funnel is generally between 5 and 10 kg.
2. The inoculant flows uniformly, and all molten iron in the ladle can be fully mixed with the inoculant. The addition amount and the inoculation time of the inoculant can be adjusted at any time.
3. Reliable operation and is suitable for the secondary inoculation treatment process of large, medium and small castings with different weights. Low manufacturing cost and simple structure.
