The invention relates to a waterproof electronic device, a waterproof assembly and an installation method thereof, wherein the waterproof assembly is suitable for installing a waterproof connector and comprises an upper plug body and a lower plug body, the lower plug body and the upper plug body are mutually assembled and jointly wrap the waterproof connector, the lower plug body is provided with a first opening and a second opening, the waterproof connector is arranged in the first opening in a penetrating way, a waterproof part is annularly arranged on the outer side of the second opening, and a water retaining part is arranged at the joint of the lower plug body and the upper plug body. However, the insertion part of the general connector is exposed to the outside in use or non-use, so that rainwater can flow into the interior of the housing through the insertion part of the connector. However, industrial or military portable electronic products are often required to be used in the open air in the sea or in the open air, which makes the waterproof problem of the plug portion of the connector particularly important.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention provides a waterproof electronic device, including: a shell provided with a groove and a bottom wall formed in the groove, wherein the bottom wall is provided with a socket; the waterproof connector comprises a waterproof joint and a circuit board module which is mutually and electrically connected with the waterproof joint, and a convex ring part extends from the outer periphery of the waterproof joint; and a waterproof assembly comprising: the waterproof plug body is coated on the waterproof connector and is tightly filled in the groove, the waterproof plug body is provided with a first opening, a second opening corresponding to the socket and a waterproof part which is annularly arranged outside the second opening and the socket and is clamped between the bottom wall and the waterproof plug body, the convex ring part is fixedly embedded in the first opening, and the circuit board module is arranged in the second opening and the socket in a penetrating way and is accommodated in the shell; the cover plate is locked and fixed on the waterproof plug body and is provided with a through hole, and the waterproof joint penetrates through and is exposed out of the through hole; and the waterproof piece is annularly arranged outside the through hole and clamped between the cover plate and the convex ring part.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention provides a waterproof assembly adapted to mount a waterproof connector, the waterproof assembly including: an upper plug body; and the lower plug body is mutually assembled with the upper plug body and jointly coats the waterproof connector, the lower plug body is provided with a first opening and a second opening, the waterproof connector penetrates through the first opening, a waterproof part is annularly arranged on the outer side of the second opening, and a water retaining part is arranged at the joint of the lower plug body and the upper plug body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention provides a method for installing a waterproof electronic device, including the steps of: a) providing a waterproof connector and a lower plug body, wherein the waterproof connector comprises a waterproof connector, the lower plug body is provided with a first opening and a second opening, and the waterproof connector is accommodated in the lower plug body and embedded in the first opening; b) providing a cover plate, a waterproof piece and a screw cap, wherein the cover plate is provided with a through hole, the waterproof joint sequentially penetrates through the waterproof piece and the through hole, the cover plate is locked on the lower plug body so as to expose the waterproof joint out of the through hole, and the screw cap is screwed on the waterproof joint so as to clamp the waterproof piece between the cover plate and the lower plug body; and c) providing an upper plug body, mutually assembling the upper plug body and the lower plug body to enable the upper plug body and the lower plug body to jointly form a waterproof plug body, wherein at least one of the upper plug body and the lower plug body extends to form a water retaining part clamped between the upper plug body and the lower plug body.

The following detailed description and technical contents of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings, which are provided for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1 to 11, the present invention provides a waterproof electronic device, a waterproof assembly thereof, and an installation method thereof, wherein the waterproof electronic device 10 mainly includes a housing 1, a waterproof connector 2, and a waterproof assembly 3; the waterproof assembly 3 mainly includes a waterproof plug 31, a cover plate 32 and a waterproof member 33, and the waterproof plug 31 includes an upper plug 311 and a lower plug 312.
As shown in fig. 1, the steps of the installation method of the waterproof electronic device of the present invention include, first, as shown in step a of fig. 1 and fig. 2, providing a waterproof connector 2 and a waterproof assembly 3, where the waterproof connector 2 includes a waterproof connector 21 and an adaptor 24 assembled with each other, a convex ring portion 211 extends from an outer periphery of the waterproof connector 21, the waterproof assembly 3 includes a waterproof plug body 31, the waterproof plug body 31 includes a lower plug body 312, the lower plug body 312 is provided with a first opening 313, a second opening 314 and a plurality of blocking pieces 3121 extending between the first opening 313 and the second opening 314, the convex ring portion 211 is inserted and fixed in the first opening 313, so that the waterproof connector 21 is exposed outside the lower plug body 312, the adaptor 24 is accommodated inside the lower plug body 312, and the adaptor 24 is stopped by the plurality of blocking pieces 3121 and is configured to correspond to the second opening 314. The waterproof connector 2 of the present embodiment is a cable connector, and the cable connector itself has excellent waterproof effect.
Secondly, as shown in step b of fig. 1 and fig. 3 to 5, a cover plate 32 and a waterproof member 33 are provided, the cover plate 32 is provided with a through hole 321, the waterproof member 33 is firstly annularly arranged outside the through hole 321, the waterproof joints 21 are sequentially arranged through the waterproof member 33 and the through hole 321, the waterproof joints 21 are exposed out of the through hole 321, and finally the cover plate 32 is locked on the waterproof plug body 312, so that the waterproof member 33 is clamped between the cover plate 32 and the convex ring portion 211, that is, the waterproof member 33 is clamped between the cover plate 32 and the lower plug body 312, and the joint of the waterproof joint 21, the lower plug body 312 and the cover plate 32 has a waterproof function.
As described in detail below, the waterproof electronic device further includes a plurality of screws 4, the lower plug 312 of the waterproof plug 31 is provided with a plurality of first locking holes 317, the first locking holes 317 are formed by a hollow column 3122 extending from the lower plug 312 and a first screw hole ring 3123 plugged at the bottom end of the hollow column 3122, the cover 32 has a vertical piece 322 and a transverse piece 323 extending from the bottom end of the vertical piece 322, the transverse piece 323 is provided with a plurality of second locking holes 324, and each screw 4 is locked to each first locking hole 317 and each second locking hole 324, so that the cover 32 is locked to the lower plug 312 of the waterproof plug 31. Since the hollow column 3122 is made of soft plastic or rubber, the hollow column 3122 needs to be filled with the first screw ring 3123 to have sufficient hardness for locking the screw 4.
In addition, the waterproof connector 2 further includes a nut 23, the waterproof connector 21 is provided with an external thread 213, the nut 23 and the external thread 213 are screwed together, so that the nut 23 is screwed to the waterproof connector 21, the cover plate 32 is clamped between the waterproof member 33 and the nut 23, the nut 23 is locked to the lower plug body 312 and drives the cover plate 32 to tightly press against the waterproof member 33, and further, the waterproof performance of the joint of the waterproof connector 21, the lower plug body 312 and the cover plate 32 is improved.
Furthermore, the through hole 321 is formed from the upright piece 322, the protruding ring 211 is provided with an annular groove 212, the waterproof member 33 is an O-shaped waterproof ring, and the waterproof member 33 is embedded and positioned in the annular groove 212.
Thirdly, as shown in step c of fig. 1 and fig. 6 to 7, the waterproof plug 31 further includes an upper plug 311 mutually assembled with the lower plug 312, the upper plug 311 and the lower plug 312 together cover the waterproof connector 2, and the adaptor 24 is accommodated between the upper plug 311 and the lower plug 312.
As described further below, the waterproof electronic device further includes a plurality of screws 51, the upper plug body 311 has a plurality of fixing holes 3111, the top end of the hollow column 3122 is plugged into the second screw hole ring 3124, and the screws 51 are locked in the fixing holes 3111 and the second screw hole rings 3124, so that the upper plug body 311 and the lower plug body 312 jointly form the waterproof plug body 31.
In addition, at least one of the upper plug 311 and the lower plug 312 extends with a water-blocking portion 316 sandwiched between the upper plug 311 and the lower plug 312, i.e. the water-blocking portion 316 is disposed at the joint of the lower plug 312 and the upper plug 311, so that the joint of the lower plug 312 and the upper plug 311 has a waterproof function.
Fourthly, as shown in step d of fig. 1 and fig. 8, the waterproof electronic device further includes an HVB tape 6, the lower plug 312 of the waterproof plug 31 has a waterproof portion 315 annularly disposed outside the second opening 314, that is, the waterproof portion 315 annularly disposed outside the second opening 314, the HVB tape 6 is attached to the lower plug 312, and the HVB tape is tightly annularly disposed around the waterproof portion 315.
In detail, the hollow column 3122 and the waterproof portion 315 are formed on the lower plug 312 by two-shot injection, and the water-blocking portion 316 is formed on the upper plug 311 or the lower plug 312 by two-shot injection, so that the lower plug 312 and the lower plug 312 are mainly made of hard plastic material, and the hollow column 3122, the waterproof portion 315 or the water-blocking portion 316 made of soft plastic or rubber material is injection-molded on the surface of the hard plastic material.
Fifthly, as shown in step e of fig. 1 and fig. 9, a housing 1 is provided, the housing 1 is provided with a groove 11 and a bottom wall 12 formed inside the groove 11, the bottom wall 12 is provided with a socket 121, the waterproof connector 2 further includes a circuit board module 22, the circuit board module 22 is installed inside the housing 1, and then the circuit board module 22 is inserted into the socket 121 and the second opening 314 and electrically connected to the waterproof connector 21.
As described further below, the circuit board module 22 includes a circuit board 221 and a flat cable 222, one end of the flat cable 222 is electrically connected to the circuit board 221, and the other end of the flat cable 222 passes through and is exposed out of the socket 121, the flat cable 222 can pass through the second opening 314 and be electrically connected to the adaptor 24 before the screws 51 are fastened to the fixing holes 3111 and the second screw holes 3124, so that the adaptor 24 is connected between the waterproof connector 21 and the circuit board module 22, so that the waterproof connector 21 and the circuit board module 22 are electrically connected to each other, in other words, the flat cable 222 can pass through the second opening 314 and be electrically connected to the adaptor 24 before the upper plug 311 and the lower plug 312 are jointly connected to form the waterproof plug 31.
Sixthly, as shown in step f of fig. 1 and fig. 10 to 11, the waterproof electronic device 10 further includes a plurality of screws 52, the housing 1 has a plurality of side walls 13 formed inside the groove 11, each side wall 13 is provided with a bump 131 and a convex column 132, the end of each convex column 132 is provided with a first through hole 133, the waterproof plug body 31 is provided with a plurality of positioning grooves 318 and a plurality of positioning recesses 319, the bottom wall of each positioning recess 319 is provided with a second through hole 3191, the waterproof plug body 31 covers the waterproof connector 2 and is tightly packed in the groove 11, each bump 131 is embedded in each positioning groove 318, each convex column is embedded in each positioning recess 319, and each screw 52 is locked to each first through hole 133 and each second through hole 3191, so that the waterproof plug body 31 and the housing 1 are stably fixed to each other.
The waterproof portion 315 of the lower plug 312 is disposed around the second opening 314 and the socket 121 and sandwiched between the bottom wall 12 and the waterproof plug 31, and the HVB tape 6 is attached between the inner wall of the groove 11 and the lower plug 312, so that the HVB tape 6 has excellent adhesiveness and waterproofness, and the joint between the waterproof plug 31 and the groove 11 has a waterproof function.
As shown in fig. 2 to 11, in the use state of the waterproof electronic device 10 and the waterproof module 3 according to the present invention, the non-waterproof connector (not shown) originally installed in the groove 11 of the shell 1 is taken down, and the waterproof plug body 31 is covered outside the waterproof connector 2, so that the waterproof plug body 31 can be tightly packed in the groove 11 of the shell 1 due to the same shape of the waterproof plug body 31 as the non-waterproof connector (not shown), and as mentioned above, the joints of the waterproof joint 21, the lower plug 312 and the cover plate 32 have waterproof function, the joint of the lower plug 312 and the upper plug 311 has waterproof function, the joint of the waterproof plug 31 and the groove 11 has waterproof function, namely, the joint of the waterproof plug body 31, the waterproof connector 2 and the groove 11 has a waterproof function, so that the connector of the waterproof electronic device 10 is changed from being waterproof to having a waterproof function.

Claims (13)
1. A waterproof electronic device, comprising:
a shell provided with a groove and a bottom wall formed in the groove, wherein the bottom wall is provided with a socket;
the waterproof connector comprises a waterproof joint and a circuit board module which is mutually and electrically connected with the waterproof joint, and a convex ring part extends from the outer periphery of the waterproof joint; and
a water resistant assembly comprising:
the waterproof plug body is coated on the waterproof connector and is tightly filled in the groove, the waterproof plug body is provided with a first opening, a second opening corresponding to the socket and a waterproof part which is annularly arranged outside the second opening and the socket and is clamped between the bottom wall and the waterproof plug body, the convex ring part is fixedly embedded in the first opening, and the circuit board module is arranged in the second opening and the socket in a penetrating way and is accommodated in the shell;
the cover plate is locked and fixed on the waterproof plug body and is provided with a through hole, and the waterproof joint penetrates through and is exposed out of the through hole;
and the waterproof piece is annularly arranged outside the through opening and clamped between the cover plate and the convex ring part.
2. A waterproof electronic device according to claim 1, wherein said waterproof plug comprises an upper plug and a lower plug assembled with each other, at least one of said upper plug and said lower plug extending with a water blocking portion interposed between said upper plug and said lower plug.
3. The waterproof electronic device of claim 1, wherein the waterproof connector comprises a connector received between the upper plug and the lower plug, the connector overlapping between the waterproof connector and the circuit board module.
4. A water resistant electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the water resistant connector is a cable connector.
5. A waterproof electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the collar portion has an annular groove, and the waterproof member is fitted in the annular groove.
6. The waterproof electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the housing has a plurality of side walls formed inside the recess, each side wall has a protrusion, and the waterproof plug body has a plurality of positioning grooves engaged with the protrusions.
7. The waterproof electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the waterproof connector further comprises a nut, the waterproof connector has an external thread, the nut is screwed with the external thread, and the cover plate is sandwiched between the waterproof member and the nut.
8. 11. The waterproof assembly of claim 9, further comprising a cover plate having a nut, the cover plate having a through opening for the waterproof connector to pass through and being locked to the lower plug by the nut, and a waterproof member interposed between the cover plate and the lower plug.
12. A method for mounting a waterproof electronic device, comprising the steps of:
a) providing a waterproof connector and a lower plug body, wherein the waterproof connector comprises a waterproof connector, the lower plug body is provided with a first opening and a second opening, and the waterproof connector is accommodated in the lower plug body and embedded in the first opening;
b) providing a cover plate, a waterproof piece and a screw cap, wherein the cover plate is provided with a through hole, the waterproof joint sequentially penetrates through the waterproof piece and the through hole, the cover plate is locked on the lower plug body so as to expose the waterproof joint out of the through hole, and the screw cap is screwed on the waterproof joint so as to clamp the waterproof piece between the cover plate and the lower plug body;
c) providing an upper plug body, assembling the upper plug body and the lower plug body mutually to enable the upper plug body and the lower plug body to form a waterproof plug body together, wherein at least one of the upper plug body and the lower plug body extends to form a water retaining part clamped between the upper plug body and the lower plug body.
13. The method of installing a waterproof electronic device according to claim 12, further comprising the steps of:
d) providing an HVB adhesive tape, wherein the lower plug body is provided with a waterproof part which is annularly arranged outside the second opening, and the HVB adhesive tape is attached to the lower plug body and is annularly arranged around the waterproof part;
e) providing a shell, wherein the shell is provided with a groove and a socket, the waterproof connector also comprises a circuit board module, the circuit board module is arranged in the shell, and then the circuit board module is arranged in the socket and the second opening in a penetrating way and is electrically connected with the waterproof connector;
f) the waterproof plug body is tightly packed in the groove, the waterproof part is arranged outside the socket in a surrounding mode and clamped between the shell and the waterproof plug body, and the HVB adhesive tape is attached between the inner wall of the groove and the lower plug body.
