The application provides an information query method and device, wherein the method firstly generates an event extraction template corresponding to a target event according to the event type of the target event to be extracted and the extraction strategy of the target event; secondly, screening a target event text corresponding to the event type from the text to be detected according to the event extraction template; then, entity recognition is carried out on the target event text to obtain entity information of a target event; and finally, determining the event information of the target event according to the target event text and the entity information. The method and the device can expand the types of the extracted event information by using the event extraction template, do not need to use the annotation corpus to carry out model training, have higher expansibility, do not depend on syntactic analysis, and have higher accuracy.
