Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method for processing discontinuous transmission, a terminal device, and a network device.
Background
In order to achieve the purpose of saving power for the terminal device, in the fourth and fifth generation mobile communication systems, a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) mechanism is introduced, that is, the terminal device periodically enters a sleep state at some time, does not listen to a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), and wakes up from the sleep state when the PDCCH needs to be listened, so that the terminal device achieves the purpose of saving power.
The DRX one cycle comprises a DRX active time and a DRX sleep time, the terminal device monitors the PDCCH during the active time of the DRX, but does not monitor the PDCCH during the DRX sleep time, and enters the sleep time. The longer the sleep time of DRX, the lower the power consumption of the terminal device, but the delay of the corresponding traffic transmission will also increase.
Currently, in a New Radio (NR) system, uplink data, especially uplink configuration authorization data, is supported to be transmitted during DRX sleep time, but if service transmission with relaxed delay requirement is also transmitted during DRX sleep time, the energy consumption of the terminal device may be increased.

A Terminal may also be referred to as a system, a Subscriber Unit (Subscriber Unit), a Subscriber Station (Subscriber Station), a Mobile Station (Mobile), a Remote Station (Remote Station), an Access Point (Access Point), a Remote Terminal (Remote Terminal), an Access Terminal (Access Terminal), a User Terminal (User Terminal), a User Agent (User Agent), a User Device (User Device), and a wireless Device (wireless Device).

For example, the network device may be a network device in a 5G System, such as a Next generation Base Station (Next generation Node B, gNB), a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in a Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) or Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), a Base Station (NodeB) in a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), or an evolved Node B (eNB or e-NodeB) in LTE, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
Having described some of the concepts related to the embodiments of the present application, the background of the embodiments of the present application is described below.
In order to achieve the purpose of saving energy of the terminal device, in the fourth generation and fifth generation mobile communication systems, a DRX mechanism is introduced, that is, the terminal device periodically enters a sleep state at some time, does not monitor the PDCCH, and wakes up from the sleep state when the PDCCH needs to be monitored, so that the terminal device achieves the purpose of saving energy.
The DRX mechanism is implemented differently in idle and connected states, and relatively speaking, the DRX mechanism in connected state is as shown in fig. 1: the period of time marked "On Duration" is the time when the terminal device monitors the downlink PDCCH subframe, and during this period of time, the terminal device is in the awake state, wherein "On Duration" is referred to as the activation time of DRX in the embodiment of the present application. While the period of time identified as "Opportunity for DRX" is the DRX sleep time, i.e. the time when the terminal device goes to sleep without monitoring PDCCH subframes for power saving. As can be seen from fig. 1, the longer the DRX sleep time is, the lower the power consumption of the terminal device is, but the delay of the corresponding traffic transmission will increase.
Currently, in the NR system, data transmission during DRX sleep time is supported, but if traffic transmission with relaxed delay requirements is also in DRX sleep, the energy consumption of the terminal device is increased.
In view of this, an embodiment of the present application provides a method for processing discontinuous reception, in which a network device may send a first message to a terminal device to instruct the terminal device to send first data in a current DRX sleep state or send the first data in a next DRX active state, so that for a service transmission with a higher delay requirement, the terminal device may be instructed to send the first data in the current DRX sleep state, and for a service transmission with a lower delay requirement, the terminal device may be instructed to send the first data in the next DRX active state, so as to achieve an objective of saving energy consumption for the terminal device.
The technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the application is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 2, an embodiment of the invention provides a method for processing discontinuous transmission, and a flow of the method is described as follows. Since the discontinuous transmission processing method involves an interactive process between the network device and the terminal device, in the following description of the flow, the processes executed by the network device and the terminal device will be described together.
S201, the network equipment determines a logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to first data to be sent by the terminal equipment.
In the embodiment of the application, the network device instructs the terminal device to send the first data in the current DRX sleep time or in the next DRX active time based on the requirements of the terminal device, such as time delay for sending the first data, so as to save the energy consumption of the terminal device as much as possible.
In a possible implementation manner, the first data includes a Scheduling Request (SR), and may also include data that is sent by the terminal device on the configuration grant resource. Correspondingly, if the first data is an SR, the logical channel corresponding to the first data may be a logical channel in which the terminal device triggers the SR, or may be a logical channel corresponding to the SR. And if the first data is data sent by the terminal device on the configuration authorized resource, the logical channel corresponding to the first data is the logical channel corresponding to the terminal device sending the first data on the configuration authorized resource. For example, when the network device determines a logical channel corresponding to the first data, the network device obtains the first data sent by the terminal device on the configuration authorized resource, and then determines the logical channel corresponding to the first data.
The logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data to be sent by the terminal device may include at least one of the following parameters:
(1) a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH);
(2) subcarrier bandwidth (SCS);
(3) modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS);
(4) the network equipment informs the terminal equipment whether to use the parameters of the double connection;
(5) the network device notifies whether the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the parameter of the configuration authorization type 1, wherein the logical channel corresponding to the first data can use the configuration authorization type 1 or the configuration authorization type 2, sometimes the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration authorization type 1, and sometimes the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration authorization type 2.
S202, the network equipment sends a first message to the terminal equipment, and then the terminal equipment receives the first message from the network equipment.
The network device determines the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data, and may send a first message to the terminal device to indicate whether the terminal device performs power saving operation, or may also understand that the network device indicates whether the terminal device sends the first data in the DRX sleep state, that is, indicates whether the terminal device sends the first data in the current DRX sleep state or delays to the next DRX active state to send the first data.
In a possible embodiment, if the first data is an SR, the first message may be configured for each SR, that is, the logical channel configuration parameters of the first data are notified by RRC signaling, or may also be understood as the logical channel configuration parameters triggering the SR or the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the SR are notified by RRC signaling.
In a possible implementation manner, the first message sent by the network device carries the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data, or the first message may be a logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data, where the logical channel configuration parameter is carried in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling sent by the network device to the terminal device.
S203, the terminal device determines whether to send the first data in the DRX sleep state according to the first message from the network device.
The network device indicates whether the terminal device executes the energy-saving operation through the first message, and indicates whether the terminal device sends the first data in the current DRX sleep state or sends the first data in the next DRX active state through the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the first data. First, the terminal device parses the first message, and if it is determined that the power saving operation needs to be performed according to the first message, further, the terminal device may determine whether to transmit the first data in the current DRX sleep state.
Specifically, the terminal device may determine to transmit the first data in the current DRX sleep state if it is determined that the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data satisfies at least one preset condition, and otherwise, delay transmission of the first data, that is, transmit the first data in the next DRX active state.
In a possible embodiment, the first preset condition is: the maximum value of the continuous lengths of the PUSCHs in the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the first data is smaller than a first threshold value.
The second preset condition is as follows: the SCS in the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data is larger than a second threshold value.
The third preset condition is: the order of the MCS in the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data is smaller than a third threshold.
The fourth preset condition is: the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data indicates that the terminal device can use dual connectivity.
The fifth preset condition is as follows: the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data indicates a logical channel usage configuration authorization type 1 corresponding to the first data.
In a possible implementation manner, the first threshold, the second threshold, or the third threshold may be respectively predetermined between the terminal device and the network device, that is, predefined values, or may be notified to the terminal device by the network device. For example, the network device sends an RRC signaling to the terminal device, where the RRC signaling carries the first threshold, the second threshold, or the third threshold. Or, the first message sent by the network device to the terminal device carries the first threshold, the second threshold, or the third threshold. The RRC signaling or the first message sent by the network device to the terminal device may further carry a first threshold if the logical channel configuration parameter is PUSCH, may also carry a second threshold if the logical channel configuration parameter is SCS, and may also carry a third threshold if the logical channel configuration parameter is MCS.
In this embodiment of the present application, as long as the terminal device determines that the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data meets at least one of the above five preset conditions, it may determine to send the first data in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, send the first data in the next DRX active state, so as to achieve the purpose of saving energy consumption by the terminal device.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment of the application, the logical channel corresponding to the first data may use configuration authorization type 1, and may also use configuration authorization type 2. If the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration authorization type 1, the transmission Resource of the terminal device is configured by a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling on the network side, the RRC signaling configures a physical layer transmission parameter such as a frequency domain position, an antenna port number, a precoding layer number, and an MCS while configuring a Resource position, and the terminal device can send data on the Resource configured by the RRC signaling after receiving the RRC signaling.
If the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration authorization type 2, the transmission Resource of the terminal device is also configured by the network side through Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, but the RRC signaling does not configure the physical layer transmission parameter. After receiving the RRC signaling, the terminal device needs to wait for Downlink Control Information (DCI) of a physical layer to activate a resource configured by the RRC signaling, and then sends data on the activated resource. Or, deactivating the resource configured by the RRC signaling according to the DCI, and stopping, by the terminal device, data transmission on the deactivated resource.
In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, only the configuration grant type 1 exists, so the DRX active state and the configuration grant resource are matched. In the NR system, there are the configuration grant type 1 and the configuration grant type 2, so the DRX active state and the configuration grant resource are not matched, and the DRX sleep state may also configure the grant resource, so in the NR system, the terminal device may transmit data in the DRX sleep state.
In a possible embodiment, if the terminal device determines that the power saving operation needs to be performed according to the first message, a trigger reason of a Random Access Channel (RACH) may be determined, so as to determine whether to transmit the first data in the current DRX sleep state according to the trigger reason of the RACH.
Specifically, if the terminal device determines that the trigger reason of the RACH is that the terminal device is to acquire uplink synchronization, it determines that the first data is not sent in the current DRX sleep state, and delays sending the first data in the next DRX active state, for example, the terminal device determines that the random access preamble is not sent in the current DRX sleep state.
Or, if it is determined that the trigger reason of the RACH is that the terminal device requests the remaining broadcast information, it is determined that the first data is not transmitted in the current DRX sleep state, and the transmission of the first data in the next DRX active state is delayed, for example, the terminal device determines that the random access preamble is not transmitted in the current DRX sleep state.
For convenience of understanding, the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application are described below and in specific embodiments.
In the first embodiment, if the first data sent by the terminal device is an SR, the network device determines that a logical channel corresponding to the first data is a logical channel for the terminal device to trigger the SR or a logical channel corresponding to the SR. The network equipment sends a first message to the terminal equipment to indicate whether the terminal equipment sends the SR in the DRX sleep state.
And the terminal equipment receives the first message, analyzes the first message, and if the terminal equipment determines that the energy-saving operation needs to be executed according to the first message, the terminal equipment further judges the indication of the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the first data so as to determine whether to send the SR in the current DRX sleep state.
For example, if the terminal device determines that the maximum value of the duration lengths of the PUSCHs in the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the first data is smaller than a first threshold, the terminal device determines to transmit the SR in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines to transmit the SR in the next DRX active state. Or after the SR is triggered, in the DRX sleep state, if the maximum value of the persistent lengths of the PUSCH is smaller than the first threshold, the terminal device performs the transmission of the SR, otherwise, the terminal device transmits the SR in the next DRX active state.
Or, the terminal device determines that the SCS in the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data is greater than the second threshold, and then the terminal device determines that the SR can be sent in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines that the SR is sent in the next DRX active state. After the SR triggering, in the DRX sleep state, if the SCS is larger than the second threshold value, the terminal equipment executes the SR transmission, otherwise, the terminal equipment transmits the SR in the next DRX activation state.
Or, the terminal device determines that the order of the MCS in the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data is smaller than a third threshold, and then the terminal device determines that the SR can be sent in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines that the SR is sent in the next DRX active state. After the SR is triggered, in the DRX sleep state, if the order of the MCS is smaller than the third threshold, the terminal device performs the SR transmission, otherwise, the terminal device transmits the SR in the next DRX active state.
Or, the terminal device determines that the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data indicates that the terminal device can use dual connectivity, and then the terminal device determines that the SR can be sent in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines that the SR is sent in the next DRX active state. After the SR is triggered, in the DRX sleep state, if the terminal device can use dual connectivity, the terminal device performs transmission of the SR, otherwise the terminal device transmits the SR in the next DRX active state.
Or, when the terminal device determines that the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data indicates that the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration authorization type 1, the terminal device determines that the SR can be sent in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines that the SR is sent in the next DRX active state. After the SR is triggered, in a DRX sleep state, if the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration grant type 1, the terminal device performs the SR transmission, otherwise, the terminal device transmits the SR in the next DRX active state.
As an example, the first embodiment only takes the logic channel configuration parameter satisfying one preset condition, and the logic channel configuration parameter actually satisfies at least one preset condition, which is not described herein again.
In the second embodiment, the first data sent by the terminal device is data sent by the terminal device on the configuration authorized resource, and the network device determines that the logical channel corresponding to the first data is a logical channel through which the terminal device sends data on the configuration authorized resource. The network equipment sends a first message to the terminal equipment to indicate whether the terminal equipment sends first data carried on the configuration authorized resources in the DRX sleep state.
The terminal equipment receives the first message, analyzes the first message, and if the terminal equipment determines that the energy-saving operation needs to be executed according to the first message, the terminal equipment further judges an indication in a logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data so as to determine whether the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource is sent in a DRX sleep state.
For example, if the terminal device determines that the maximum value of the duration lengths of the PUSCHs in the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the first data is smaller than a first threshold, the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration grant resources in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration grant resources in the next DRX active state. Or, in the DRX sleep state, there is first data transmission carried on the configuration granted resource, and the maximum value of the persistent length of the PUSCH is smaller than the first threshold, and the terminal device performs transmission of the first data carried on the configuration granted resource, otherwise, the terminal device transmits the first data carried on the configuration granted resource in the next DRX active state.
Or, the terminal device determines that the SCS in the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data is greater than the second threshold, then the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration granted resource in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration granted resource in the next DRX active state. In the DRX sleep state, first data transmission carried on the configuration authorized resource exists, if SCS is larger than a second threshold value, the terminal equipment executes the transmission of the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource, otherwise, the terminal equipment transmits the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource in the next DRX active state.
Or, the terminal device determines that the order of the MCS in the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data is smaller than a third threshold, then the terminal device determines that the first data carried on the configuration grant resource can be sent in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines that the first data carried on the configuration grant resource is sent in the next DRX active state. And in the DRX sleep state, first data carried on the configuration authorized resource is sent, if the order of the MCS is smaller than a third threshold value, the terminal equipment executes the sending of the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource, otherwise, the terminal equipment sends the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource in the next DRX active state.
Or, the terminal device determines that the logical channel configuration parameter corresponding to the first data indicates that the terminal device can use dual connectivity, and then the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource in the next DRX active state. In the DRX sleep state, there is first data transmission carried on the configuration authorized resource, and if the terminal equipment can use the dual connection, the terminal equipment executes the transmission of the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource, otherwise the terminal equipment transmits the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource in the next DRX active state.
Or, when the terminal device determines that the logical channel corresponding to the first data in the logical channel configuration parameters corresponding to the first data indicates that the logical channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration grant type 1, the terminal device determines to send the data carried on the configuration grant resource in the current DRX sleep state, otherwise, the terminal device determines to send the first data carried on the configuration grant resource in the next DRX active state. And in the DRX sleep state, first data carried on the configuration authorized resource is sent, and if a logic channel corresponding to the first data uses the configuration authorized type 1, the terminal equipment executes the sending of the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource, otherwise, the terminal equipment sends the first data carried on the configuration authorized resource in the next DRX activation state.
As described in the second embodiment, the logical channel configuration parameter only satisfies one preset condition, and the logical channel configuration parameter actually satisfies at least one preset condition, which is not described herein again.
And thirdly, the terminal equipment determines that the energy-saving operation needs to be executed according to the first message from the network equipment, and then can determine the trigger reason of the random access process. For example, if the terminal device determines that the trigger reason of the RACH is that the terminal device is to acquire uplink synchronization, it is determined that the first data, for example, the random access preamble, is not transmitted in the current DRX sleep state. Or, if the terminal device determines that the trigger reason of the RACH is that the terminal device requests the remaining broadcast information, it determines that the first data, for example, the random access preamble, is not transmitted in the current DRX sleep state.
In summary, in the embodiment of the present application, the network device may send a first message to the terminal device to instruct the terminal device to send the first data in the current DRX sleep state or in the next DRX active state, so that for a service transmission with a higher delay requirement, the terminal device may be instructed to send the first data in the current DRX sleep state, and for a service transmission with a lower delay requirement, the terminal device may be instructed to send the first data in the next DRX active state, so as to achieve the purpose of saving energy consumption for the terminal device.
