Disclosure of Invention
Technical problem to be solved by the invention
The interdental cleaning device described in patent document 1 is desired to be easily inserted into the interdental space, and further, is desired to improve the cleaning performance (scraping performance) between the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdental space.
The invention aims to provide an interdental cleaning device which can improve the insertion property between teeth and can improve the cleaning property between the side surfaces of the teeth and the teeth.
Means for solving the problems
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above problems, the inventors of the present invention focused on the ratio of the brushes disposed in the region on the distal end side of the cleaning unit main body among the plurality of brushes and the ratio of the brushes disposed in the region on the proximal end side of the cleaning unit main body among the plurality of brushes. Specifically, the inventors of the present invention have conceived that the insertion resistance of the cleaning portion into the interdentium can be reduced and the insertion performance of the cleaning portion into the interdentium can be improved by making the proportion of the brush to be provided in the region on the distal end side of the cleaning portion main body small, and that the rigidity in this region (including the rigidity of the entire shaft portion and the cleaning portion) can be improved by making the proportion of the brush to be provided in the region on the proximal end side of the cleaning portion main body large, and that the scraping performance of the dental plaque can be improved and the cleaning performance of the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdentium can be improved.
The present invention has been made in view of the above points. Specifically, the present invention provides an interdental cleaning device, comprising: a base portion including a shaft portion having a shape capable of being inserted between teeth; and a cleaning unit that covers at least a part of the shaft portion and is capable of cleaning between teeth, the cleaning unit including: a cleaning part main body covering at least a part including the front end part of the shaft part; and a brush part provided on an outer peripheral surface of the cleaning part main body, the cleaning part main body including: a tip covering section that covers a tip region including the tip section in the shaft section; and a base end covering section that covers a base end region including a portion of the shaft section on a side opposite to a side on which the tip end section is located, the brush section including: a plurality of front end brushes each having a shape protruding outward from an outer peripheral surface of the front end covering portion; and a plurality of base end brushes each having a shape protruding outward from an outer peripheral surface of the base end covering portion, wherein a front end ratio, which is a ratio of an area of a front end connecting portion, which is a sum of areas of connecting portions of the front end brush and the front end covering portion, among the front end brushes, to an area of a portion other than the front end connecting portion, among the outer peripheral surfaces of the front end covering portions, existing on the surface of the front end covering portion, is smaller than a base end ratio, which is a ratio of an area of a base end connecting portion, which is a sum of areas of connecting portions of the base end brush and the base end covering portion, among the base end brushes, to an area of a portion other than the base end connecting portion, among the outer peripheral surfaces of the base end covering portions, existing on the surface of the base end covering portion.
In the interdental cleaning device, the ratio of the tip (the ratio of the brush in the region on the tip side) is relatively small, and the ratio of the base end (the ratio of the brush in the region on the base end side) is relatively large, so that both the insertion of the cleaning part into the interdental space and the cleaning of the cleaning part on the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdental space are improved. Specifically, the relatively small tip end ratio results in a small insertion resistance of the cleaning part into the interdental space, that is, the improved insertion ability of the cleaning part into the interdental space, and the relatively large base end ratio results in a relatively large rigidity of the entire region including the base end region, the base end covering part, and the base end brush, and the improved scraping ability of the dental plaque, and the improved cleaning ability of the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdental space.
The cleaning unit body further includes a central covering portion covering a central region of the shaft portion between the front end region and the base end region, and the brush portion further includes a plurality of central brushes each having a shape protruding outward from an outer peripheral surface of the central covering portion, wherein a central ratio is larger than the front end ratio and smaller than the base end ratio, and the central ratio is a ratio of a sum of areas of central connection portions of the central brushes, which are connection portions of the central brushes and the central covering portion, existing on a surface of the central covering portion to an area of a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the central covering portion other than the central connection portion.
Preferably, the tip end ratio is 10% or less, the center ratio is 12% or less, and the base end ratio is 14% or less.
Accordingly, the insertion of the cleaning unit into the teeth is further improved, and the cleaning performance of the cleaning unit on the side surfaces of the teeth and between the teeth is further improved.
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide an interdental cleaning device capable of improving the insertion into the interdental space and improving the cleaning performance between the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdental space.

Detailed Description
An interdental cleaning device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1 to 3. As shown in FIG. 1, an interdental cleaning device 1 includes a base 10 and a cleaning part 40.
The base 10 is formed of synthetic resin such as polypropylene, polyethylene, ABS, polybutylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate, polystyrene, polyacetal, or the like. In the present embodiment, the base 10 is formed of polypropylene containing 30 wt% of glass fibers. The base 10 has a shaft portion 20 and a grip portion 30.
The shaft portion 20 has a shape linearly extending along a specific direction (the left-right direction in fig. 1) and capable of being inserted between the teeth. The cross section of the shaft portion 20 at a plane orthogonal to the axial direction (left-right direction in fig. 1) of the shaft portion 20 is circular. In addition, the cross section may be elliptical, polygonal, or the like. In the present embodiment, the shaft portion 20 is formed in a cylindrical shape whose outer diameter gradually decreases from the base end portion to the tip 21 (see fig. 2) of the shaft portion. An angle formed by the central axis of the shaft portion 20 and a straight line passing through the outer edge portion of the shaft portion 20 in a cross section of the shaft portion 20 in a plane passing through the central axis of the shaft portion 20 is preferably set to 0.45 degrees or more and 10 degrees or less from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the tooth space and obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance.
The grip portion 30 extends so as to be separated from the base end portion of the shaft portion 20 in the axial direction of the shaft portion 20, and has a shape that can be gripped with fingers. The grip portion 30 is formed flat. As shown in fig. 1, the grip portions 30 of the interdental cleaning device 1 are connected to each other by a connecting piece 32.
The base 10 described above is formed, for example, in the following manner. That is, in a 1-time forming die (not shown) having a space having a shape corresponding to the base 10, a solid material (pellet shape) of polypropylene having 30 wt% of glass fiber is melted and flowed to form the base 10.
Cleaning unit 40 will be described next. Cleaning unit 40 is a portion for cleaning interdental spaces, and is formed of a resin material having a hardness lower than that of base 10. Specifically, as the resin material, a styrene-based elastomer is used. However, as the resin material, silicone, olefin elastomer, polyester elastomer, or the like may be used. In the present embodiment, cleaning unit 40 includes cleaning unit main body 42 and a plurality of brush units 44.
The cleaning portion main body 42 covers a portion of the shaft portion 20 including the distal end portion of the shaft portion 20. Specifically, the cleaning unit main body 42 includes a front end covering portion 42a, a center covering portion 42b, and a base end covering portion 42 c.
The front end covering portion 42a covers the front end region 20a of the shaft portion 20. As shown in fig. 2, the tip region 20a is a region from the tip 21 of the shaft portion 20 to a position separated from the tip 21 to the base end of the shaft portion 20 by a predetermined dimension h. The diameter of the tip region 20a is preferably set to 0.3mm to 1.5mm, more preferably 0.3mm to 0.9mm, and still more preferably 0.3mm to 0.7mm, from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the interdental space and obtaining excellent rigidity. The diameter of the distal end covering portion 42a is preferably set to 0.4mm to 1.6mm, more preferably 0.4mm to 1mm, and still more preferably 0.4mm to 0.8mm, from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the interdental space and obtaining excellent rigidity.
The center covering portion 42b covers the center region 20b of the shaft portion 20. The central region 20b is a region extending from a position of the shaft portion 20 spaced apart by a predetermined dimension h toward the proximal end side from the distal end 21 of the shaft portion 20 to a position spaced apart by the predetermined dimension h toward the proximal end side from the position. The diameter of the central region 20b is preferably set to 0.4mm to 1.8mm, more preferably 0.4mm to 1.5mm, and still more preferably 0.4mm to 1.3mm, from the viewpoint of obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance. The diameter of the center covering portion 42b is preferably set to 0.5mm to 2mm, more preferably 0.5mm to 1.7mm, and still more preferably 0.5mm to 1.5mm, from the viewpoint of obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance.
The base end covering portion 42c covers the base end region 20c of the shaft portion 20. The proximal end region 20c is a region extending from a position in the shaft portion 20 that is spaced apart from the distal end 21 of the shaft portion 20 by a dimension 2h that is 2 times the predetermined dimension h toward the proximal end side to a position that is further spaced apart from the position by the predetermined dimension h toward the proximal end side. The diameter of the base end region 20c is preferably set to 0.5mm to 2.5mm from the viewpoint of obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance. The diameter of the base end covering portion 42c is preferably set to 0.6mm to 2.8mm from the viewpoint of obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance.
In the present embodiment, the predetermined dimension h is set to 5 mm. However, the dimension of the tip region 20a in the axial direction of the shaft portion 20 is not limited to 5mm as long as the dimension of the central region 20b and the dimension of the base region 20c are set to be the same. The predetermined dimension h is set to, for example, 3mm to 7mm, preferably 4mm to 6mm, from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the interdental space and obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance.
In addition, an angle formed by the central axis of the shaft portion 20 and a straight line passing through the outer edge portion of the cleaning portion main body 42 in a cross section of the cleaning portion main body 42 in a plane passing through the central axis of the shaft portion 20 is preferably set to 0.5 degrees or more and 11 degrees or less from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the tooth space and obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance. From the same viewpoint, the angle is preferably larger than an angle formed by the central axis of the shaft portion 20 and a straight line passing through the outer edge portion of the shaft portion 20.
The brush 44 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the cleaning unit main body 42. Specifically, the brush portion 44 has a plurality of leading end brushes 44a, a plurality of central brushes 44b, and a plurality of base end brushes 44 c. Each of the front end brushes 44a has a shape protruding outward from the outer peripheral surface of the front end covering portion 42 a. Each of the center brushes 44b has a shape protruding outward from the outer peripheral surface of the center covering portion 42 b. Each base end brush 44c has a shape protruding outward from the outer peripheral surface of the base end covering portion 42 c. In the present embodiment, the brushes 44a to 44c have a shape protruding from the outer peripheral surfaces of the covering portions 42a to 42c in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the shaft portion 20 (hereinafter referred to as an "orthogonal axis direction"). The brushes 44a to 44c have shapes in which the outer shapes of the brushes 44a to 44c gradually decrease as they go away from the outer peripheral surfaces of the covering portions 42a to 42 c. Specifically, the brushes 44a to 44c are formed in a conical shape. The outer shape of the center brush 44b is larger than that of the leading end brush 44a, and the outer shape of the base end brush 44c is larger than that of the center brush 44 b. The length of the tip brush 44a (the amount of protrusion from the tip covering portion 42a in the direction perpendicular to the axis) is preferably set to 0.1mm to 2mm, more preferably 0.1mm to 1.2mm, and still more preferably 0.1mm to 0.8mm, from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the interdentium and obtaining excellent rigidity. The length of the center brush 44b (the amount of protrusion from the center covering portion 42b in the direction perpendicular to the axis) is preferably set to 0.1mm to 3mm, more preferably 0.1mm to 1.5mm, and still more preferably 0.1mm to 1.2mm, from the viewpoint of excellent insertion between teeth and excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance. The length of the base end brush 44c (the amount of protrusion from the base end covering portion 42c in the direction orthogonal to the axis) is preferably set to 0.1mm to 3.5mm from the viewpoint of obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance.
In the present embodiment, the ratio of the total area a1 (see fig. 3) of the front end connecting portion of the front end brush 44a to the front end covering portion 42a, which is the total area of the front end connecting portions of the front end brush 44a and the front end covering portion 42a, to the area a2 (see fig. 3) of the portions other than the front end connecting portion in the outer peripheral surface of the front end covering portion 42a, that is, the front end ratio a1/a2, is smaller than the ratio of the total area B1 of the center connecting portion of the center brush 44B to the center covering portion 42B, which is the area B2 of the portions other than the center connecting portion in the outer peripheral surface of the center covering portion 42B, that is, the center ratio B1/B2. The central ratio B1/B2 is smaller than a base end ratio C1/C2, which is a ratio of an area C2 of a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the base end covering portion 42C other than the base end connecting portion, to a total sum C1 of areas of the base end connecting portions of the base end brushes 44C, which are connecting portions between the base end brushes 44C and the base end covering portions 42C. Specifically, the tip ratio a1/a2 is preferably set to more than 0% and 10% or less, more preferably more than 0% and 7% or less, and still more preferably 0.1% to 6.5% from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the interdental space and obtaining excellent rigidity. The center ratio B1/B2 is excellent in rigidity and high in rigidityFrom the viewpoint of cleanability, the content is preferably set to more than 6% and 12% or less, more preferably to more than 6% and 9% or less, and still more preferably to 6.5% or more and 8.5% or less. The base end ratio C1/C2 is preferably set to more than 8.5% and 14% or less, more preferably to more than 8.5% and 12% or less, and still more preferably to 9% or more and 11% or less, from the viewpoint of obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleanability. Further, the area A1 of the tip end connecting portion is preferably 0.05mm2Above 1.5mm2Hereinafter, more preferably 0.1mm2Above 1.1mm2Hereinafter, more preferably 0.1mm2Above 1.6mm2The following. The area B1 of the central connecting portion is preferably 0.1mm2Above 2mm2Hereinafter, more preferably 0.3mm2Above 1.7mm2Hereinafter, more preferably 0.5mm2Above 1.2mm2The following. The area C1 of the base end connecting part is preferably 0.5mm2Above 3.5mm2Hereinafter, more preferably 0.7mm2Above 3mm2Hereinafter, more preferably 0.9mm2Above 2mm2The following. Here, the total sum of areas a1 is the total sum of the areas of the respective front end connecting portions present on the surface of the front end covering portion 42a, the total sum of areas B1 is the total sum of the areas of the respective center connecting portions present on the surface of the middle and high covering portions 42B, and the total sum of areas C1 is the total sum of the areas of the respective base end connecting portions present on the surface of the base end covering portion 42C. In fig. 3, the connecting portions are indicated by hollow outlines, and the areas a2 to C2 are indicated by oblique lines.
As described above, in the interdental cleaning device 1 of the present embodiment, the distal end ratio a1/a2 is relatively small, and the base end ratio C1/C2 is relatively large, so that both the insertion ability of the cleaning part 40 into the interdental space and the cleaning ability of the cleaning part 40 on the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdental space can be improved. Specifically, since the tip end ratio a1/a2 is relatively small, the insertion resistance of the cleaning unit 40 into the teeth becomes small, that is, the insertion ability of the cleaning unit 40 into the teeth becomes high, that is, since the base end ratio C1/C2 is relatively large, the rigidity of the entire region including the base end region 20C, the base end covering portion 42C, and the base end brush 44C is relatively large, and the scraping ability of the dental plaque, that is, the cleaning ability of the side surfaces of the teeth and the teeth is improved.
Further, since the tip ratio a1/a2 is 10% or less, the center ratio B1/B2 is 12% or less, and the base end ratio C1/C2 is 14% or less, the insertion of the cleaning unit 40 into the interdental space is further improved, and the cleaning unit 40 has higher cleaning performance for the side surfaces of the teeth and the interdental space.
The above embodiments disclosed herein are illustrative and not restrictive in all respects. The scope of the present invention is defined by the scope of the claims, rather than the description of the above embodiments, and includes all modifications equivalent in content and scope to the scope of the claims.
For example, the shape of each of the brushes 44a to 44c is not limited to a conical shape. The shape of each of the brushes 44a to 44c may be polygonal pyramid, cylindrical column, or polygonal prism.
The center cover 42b and the center brush 44b may be omitted. At this time, the sum of the dimension of the tip region 20a and the dimension of the base end region 20c in the axial direction is set to 15mm or more, and the dimension of the tip region 20a and the dimension of the base end region 20c are set to be equal to each other.
In addition, as in the above-described embodiment, from the viewpoint of reducing insertion resistance into the interdental space and obtaining excellent rigidity and high cleaning performance, it is preferable that the area of the connecting portion of the brush located on the distal end side is designed to be smaller than the area of the connecting portion located on the proximal end side in each of the distal end region 20a, the central region 20b, and the proximal end region 20 c. However, in each of the tip region 20a, the central region 20b, and the base region 20c, the area of the connection portion of each brush may be irregularly mixed with a large area and a small area, and the areas of the connection portions of the brushes in each region may be all the same.
Further, the axial direction of the shaft portion 20 may intersect with the longitudinal direction of the grip portion 30. Further, the shaft portion 20 may be curved.
Examples
2 examples were prepared for the interdental cleaning device 1 of the above embodiment, and 1 comparative example was prepared for the examples. The areas A1 to C3, the tip end ratios A1/A2, the center ratios B1/B2, and the base end ratios C1/C2 of the examples and comparative examples are shown in FIG. 4.
According to fig. 4, in any of the examples, it was confirmed that both the insertion property into the teeth and the scraping property (the side surfaces of the teeth and the cleaning property between the teeth) were good. On the other hand, in the comparative examples, it was confirmed that the scraping property was good, but the insertion property into the interdentium was poor.
Further, according to examples 1 and 2, it was confirmed that the insertion property and the scraping property into the tooth space were more excellent by satisfying the conditions that the tip end ratio a1/a2 was 10% or less, the center ratio B1/B2 was 12% or less, and the base end ratio C1/C2 was 14% or less, and according to example 1, it was confirmed that the insertion property into the tooth space was more excellent by satisfying the conditions that the tip end ratio a1/a2 was more than 0% and 7% or less, the center ratio B1/B2 was more than 6% and 9% or less, and the base end ratio C1/C2 was more than 8.5% and 12% or less.
