Humans are chronically afflicted with a variety of diseases, many of which are infections by bacteria or viruses through manual contact. The diligent washing of hands and the correct washing of hands are critical to reducing the spread of disease, but if viruses can be killed from the source, i.e., the surfaces of a large number of objects that we routinely touch with hands, we can live safer. The objects such as various buttons, handles, keyboards, mobile phone screens and the like which can not be bypassed in daily life are often the main sources of various bacteria and viruses, particularly the mobile phone screens, and researches show that the bacteria quantity of the mobile phone screens is more than that of randomly collected ATM keyboards, closestool flushing buttons and elevator buttons! The mobile phone, as the most frequently used portable device in our lives, may be a "source of poison", which is how terrorist is! People have no ever-seen, few habits of cleaning and disinfecting mobile phones regularly are provided, even if the mobile phones are cleaned, the mobile phones are only simply wiped, and the effect of killing bacteria and viruses is not large.
Uv disinfection has been widely used as an economically efficient and well-established technique, but it also has some significant disadvantages: first, the intensity of ultraviolet rays is greatly attenuated according to the square of the distance, and the intensity of ultraviolet rays has to be increased and the sterilization time has to be increased in order to achieve the sterilization effect. Second, ultraviolet radiation is harmful to the human body, and the human body may be damaged by the ultraviolet radiation for a long time, or even may cause cancer. Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention clearer and clearer, the present invention is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
Because the ultraviolet intensity of the ultraviolet disinfection device in the prior art is seriously attenuated along with the square of the distance, the ultraviolet intensity needs to be increased in order to achieve the disinfection effect, when a human body uses the existing ultraviolet disinfection device, the received ultraviolet radiation is easy to cause cancer, and in addition, the existing ultraviolet disinfection device can not be integrated into a display device, so that the use is inconvenient. In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides an ultraviolet disinfection apparatus based on optical waveguide, as shown in fig. 1. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: an ultraviolet light source 101, a light coupler 102, and a light guiding film 103. The optical waveguide light guide film 103 comprises a base layer 1031 and a flat plate light guide film layer 1032 from bottom to top; the base layer 1031 has a refractive index less than the refractive index of the flat light directing film layer 1032. The ultraviolet light source 101 is used for providing ultraviolet light for disinfection; the optical coupler 102 is configured to receive the ultraviolet light and couple and guide the ultraviolet light into the optical waveguide light guiding film 103; the optical waveguide light guiding film 103 is transparent to the ultraviolet light and is configured to receive the ultraviolet light to sterilize the surface of the optical waveguide light guiding film 103.
As is well known, an optical waveguide is a light guide channel that transmits light waves while being confined in a specific medium or near the surface thereof, and includes a planar optical waveguide and a cylindrical optical waveguide. The simplest planar lightwave circuit consists of three layers of material, the middle layer being of refractive index n1The flat light guide film layer is covered on the surface of the substrate with the refractive index n2On the substrate layer, the flat light guide film layer has a refractive index n3The cover layer of (1). To construct an optical waveguide, n is required1Must be greater than n2And n3I.e. n1>n2,n1>n3So that the light can be confined to propagate through the film. As shown in fig. 2, in an ideal uniform medium, the planar optical waveguide has a refractive index difference only in the X direction, and the propagation of light in the planar optical waveguide can be regarded as that light is totally reflected at two interfaces of "flat light guiding film layer-base layer" and "flat light guiding film layer-cover layer", and light propagates along a zigzag path in the planar optical waveguide.
In specific implementation, in this embodiment, the cover layer is set to be an air layer, since the refractive index of air is 1, the refractive index of any other medium is greater than 1, and the refractive index of the base layer 1031 is smaller than the refractive index of the flat light guiding film layer 1032, after the ultraviolet light emitted by the ultraviolet light source 101 is coupled and guided into the optical waveguide light guiding film 103 through the optical coupler 102, in a clean state of the surface of the flat light guiding film layer 1032, a propagation path of the ultraviolet light in the optical waveguide light guiding film 103 is as shown in fig. 3, and the ultraviolet light guided into the optical waveguide light guiding film 103 is totally reflected on two interfaces, namely, the base layer-flat light guiding film layer and the "flat light. Under the condition that dirt 104 is attached to the surface of the flat light guide film layer 1032, the propagation path of ultraviolet light in the light guide film 103 is as shown in fig. 4, for example, the dirt 104 is liquid drops (such as water drops, oil stains and the like) with viruses, the air layer is replaced by another medium with a larger refractive index at the position of the dirt 104, and according to a critical angle calculation formula, the critical angle can be increased, so that the original condition meeting total reflection is changed, and part of light can be transmitted from the dirt 104, that is, light leakage occurs. The present invention utilizes this light leakage to allow the uv light in the flat light guiding film layer 1032 to leak out from the location of the dirt 104, i.e., to disinfect the location of the dirt 104. The ultraviolet light takes place the total reflection in optical waveguide leaded light film 103, can not take place the decay along with the distance, and the ultraviolet light only takes place the light leakage in dirty 104 attached position, and is less to the human injury, and the device is simple, can integrate and carry out ultraviolet disinfection, convenient to use to display device on the display device when needs.
Further, the ultraviolet light source 101 is a plurality of ultraviolet L ED lamp beads, and the ultraviolet L ED lamp beads have lower power consumption and higher efficiency compared with an ultraviolet lamp bulb in the existing ultraviolet disinfection device, and the lower power consumption can be maintained for a longer working time under the condition of the same electric quantity, so that electric energy is saved.
In specific implementation, in order to integrate the ultraviolet disinfection apparatus based on optical waveguide into an electronic device with a touch screen without affecting the normal use of the electronic device, such as a mobile phone, the optical waveguide light guide film 103 is a transparent film in this embodiment. In a specific embodiment, the flat light guide film layer 1032 is made of a transparent polymer light guide film material, the base layer 1031 is made of a transparent material with a refractive index smaller than that of the flat light film layer 1032, such as silicon dioxide and magnesium fluoride, the base layer 1031 is transparent to visible light and ultraviolet light, and the base layer 1031 is coated on the surface of the flat light guide film layer 1032.
In practical applications, the substrate layer 1031 may also be made of a material that is highly transparent to ultraviolet light and is instead transparent to visible light, such as an optical dielectric film and a metal film, which may not form a perfect optical waveguide but may function to strongly reflect ultraviolet light.
In specific implementation, in order to prevent the ultraviolet light coupled into the optical waveguide light guiding film 103 from leaking out from the peripheral edge of the optical waveguide light guiding film 103, in this embodiment, an ultraviolet reflecting film layer is disposed on the peripheral side surface of the flat light guiding film layer 1032 and is used for reflecting the ultraviolet light leaking out from the peripheral edge of the optical waveguide light guiding film 103 back into the flat light guiding film layer 1032.
Example one
In a first embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an optical waveguide-based uv disinfection apparatus, as shown in fig. 5, the optical waveguide-based uv disinfection apparatus includes a first uv light source, a first optical coupler 502, and a first optical waveguide light guiding film 503, where the first optical waveguide light guiding film 503 includes a first substrate layer 5031 and a first flat light guiding film layer 5032. The structure of the uv disinfection apparatus in this embodiment is the same as that of the uv disinfection apparatus mentioned in the previous step, and the only difference is that the first optical coupler 502 in this embodiment is a grating coupler, and the first optical coupler 502 is a periodic grating structure disposed on the first flat light guiding film layer 5032. After the incident light enters the first optical waveguide light guiding film 503 through the first optical coupler 502, guided wave light is formed in the Z direction of the first flat light guiding film layer 5032, and another part of the ultraviolet light is transmitted from the first flat light guiding film layer 5032 to the first substrate layer 5031 and is lost. The grating coupler has the advantages of no limit of the refractive index of the material of the first optical waveguide light guiding film 503, stable coupling efficiency and no need of strict control of the incident position of the light beam.

The structure of the uv disinfection apparatus in this embodiment is the same as that of the uv disinfection apparatus mentioned in the previous step, and the only difference is that the second optical coupler 602 in this embodiment is a prism coupler, when the incident angle of the uv light incident on the bottom of the second optical coupler 602 is greater than the critical angle of total reflection, an evanescent field is generated in the gap between the second optical coupler 602 and the second optical waveguide light guiding film 603, and the evanescent field can penetrate into the second light guiding film layer 6032 to excite the guided mode in the second light guiding film layer 6032 to form a uv light input, and at this time, the input uv light in the second optical coupler 602 transfers the uv light energy to the guided mode in the second optical waveguide light guiding film 603 through the coupling effect between the radiation mode and the guided mode, so that the prism coupler can guide the uv light into the second optical waveguide light guiding film 603. In order to improve the coupling efficiency of the prism coupler, the right edge of the incident beam, i.e. the ultraviolet light, must be precisely coincident with the right-angled tip of the second optical coupler 602, and if the edge of the beam is outside, i.e. right of, the right-angled tip of the second optical coupler 602, a part of the incident energy will be directly reflected or directly transmitted into the second optical waveguide light guiding film 603; if the beam edge is to the left of the right-angled tip of the optical coupler 602, a portion of the energy coupled into the optical waveguide light directing film 603 may be coupled back into the optical coupler 602 again. The advantage of using a prism coupler is that the coupling efficiency is high and the prism position can be adjusted as required to achieve maximum coupling strength.
