Abstract

The disclosure provides a network access method, a system and a base station, and relates to the technical field of wireless communication. The network access method comprises the following steps: the base station sends information of a wireless local area network associated with the base station to the terminal, wherein the information of the wireless local area network comprises wireless local area network connection conditions and parameter information; and the base station receives feedback information which comes from the wireless local area network and establishes connection with the terminal, wherein the connection with the wireless local area network is established according to the parameter information of the wireless local area network after the terminal meets the connection condition of the wireless local area network. By the method, the base station can provide the connection condition and the parameter information of the wireless local area network associated with the base station to the terminal when the terminal is initially accessed, so that the terminal does not need to interact with the base station in the switching process, activation failure caused by incomplete coverage of the base station is avoided, the efficiency of accessing the wireless local area network by a user is improved, and the service continuity is improved.

Network access method, system and base station
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of wireless communication technologies, and in particular, to a network access method, system, and base station.
Background
The wireless communication system has undergone rapid development from the first generation to the fourth generation, the real network gradually forms a complex current situation including multiple wireless systems, spectrum utilization and coverage, and the coexistence of multiple access technologies for a long time becomes a prominent feature.
WLAN (Wireless Local Area network) is one of the most successful communication technologies working in unlicensed frequency bands, and in order to take the advantages of WLAN as its own use, the maximum fusion of LTE (Long Term Evolution) and WLAN is realized, and 3GPP has developed relevant standard work of LTE-WLAN aggregation and its enhancement in Release-13 and Release-14. From the LWA (LTE and WLAN Aggregation) technology as a starting point, the tight convergence of multiple network access layers will become a trend. From the 3GPP perspective, NR and WLAN will exist in a form that will continue to merge in 5G networks. The IEEE, another standard organization, also leads to the same conclusions in the project of 5G. Among the two 5G solutions formed by IEEE in month 7 in 2016, one of the most supported solutions is to cooperate with 3GPP to develop an interface, which provides broadband services by accessing 802.11 technology to a 5G network in a manner similar to LWA technology.
Disclosure of Invention
The inventors have found that it is more difficult for NR to guarantee continuous coverage than LTE, especially in NR base stations deployed in high frequency bands, where there may be temporary holes in coverage of NR in NR-WLAN aggregation, which may result in a failure to successfully access WLAN and activate related functions of NR-WLAN aggregation.
An object of the present disclosure is to improve the efficiency of accessing a WLAN by a user and improve service continuity.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a network access method is provided, including: the base station sends information of a wireless local area network associated with the base station to the terminal, wherein the information of the wireless local area network comprises wireless local area network connection conditions and parameter information; and the base station receives feedback information which comes from the wireless local area network and establishes connection with the terminal, wherein the connection with the wireless local area network is established according to the parameter information of the wireless local area network after the terminal meets the connection condition of the wireless local area network.
In some embodiments, the network access method further comprises: the base station establishes connection with the associated wireless local area network; the base station acquires the parameter information of the wireless local area network through an interface connected with the wireless local area network.
In some embodiments, the base station presets wireless local area network connection condition information, and the wireless local area network connection condition includes one or more of a signal strength threshold for connecting the wireless local area network and an authority requirement.
In some embodiments, the network access method further comprises: and the base station performs data interaction with the terminal through the wireless local area network according to the feedback information from the wireless local area network.

Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present disclosure is further described in detail by the accompanying drawings and examples.
Fig. 1 shows a signaling flow chart of a terminal switching from a base station access to a WLAN access in the related art, and it can be seen that in the signaling flow, after the terminal enters a coverage area of the WLAN, the terminal needs to interact with the base station, and the base station needs to interact with the WLAN, that is, the base station is used as an intermediary point for connecting the terminal and the WLAN, and finally, after the terminal accesses the WLAN, data interaction is performed between the base station and the terminal through the WLAN. Such a signaling procedure is long, and has a high requirement on the coverage signal degree of the base station in the area, and in some scenarios, for example, when NR is responsible for outdoor coverage, and indoor coverage is responsible for WLAN, if the NR signal at the handover point is weak, handover failure may be caused.
A flow chart of one embodiment of a network access method of the present disclosure is shown in fig. 2.
In step 201, the base station transmits information of a WLAN associated with the base station to the terminal, wherein the information of the WLAN includes WLAN connection condition and parameter information. In one embodiment, the WLAN associated with the base station is a WLAN having an aggregation relationship with the base station, and the base station may obtain parameter information of the WLAN when initially establishing the aggregation relationship with the WLAN. In one embodiment, the parameter information may include key information, or other access requirements, etc.
In one embodiment, the base station may be preset with WLAN connection condition information, and the WLAN connection condition may include one or more of a signal strength threshold for connecting to the WLAN and an authority requirement.
And when the terminal meets the WLAN connection condition, establishing connection with the WLAN according to the parameter information of the WLAN. And after the WLAN determines that the terminal is accessed, the WLAN sends feedback information to the base station, wherein the feedback information may comprise a terminal identifier.
In step 202, the base station receives feedback information from the WLAN to establish a connection with the terminal.
By the method, the base station can provide the connection condition and the parameter information of the WLAN associated with the base station to the terminal when the terminal is initially accessed, so that the terminal is accessed to the WLAN when the terminal meets the condition, the terminal does not need to interact with the base station in the switching process, activation failure caused by incomplete coverage of the base station is avoided, the WLAN access efficiency of a user is improved, and the service continuity is improved.
A flow chart of another embodiment of the network access method of the present disclosure is shown in fig. 3.
In step 301, the base station NR establishes a connection with the associated WLAN. In one embodiment, the base station may previously establish a connection with the WLAN through a standard interface.
In step 302, the base station acquires configuration parameter information of the WLAN through an interface connected to the WLAN.
In step 303, when the terminal accesses the base station, the base station transmits information of a WLAN associated with the base station to the terminal, wherein the information of the WLAN includes WLAN connection condition and parameter information. In one embodiment, the base station may transmit the information of the WLAN to the terminal through an RRC message.
In one embodiment, when the base station is aggregated with a plurality of WLANs, the base station may determine which WLAN or WLANs the terminal is going to enter according to the location of the terminal, and select information of the WLAN to be sent to the terminal, thereby reducing the storage space occupation of the terminal.
After the terminal receives the information of the WLAN, when the terminal enters the coverage area of the WLAN and meets the connection condition of the terminal, the terminal completes the operation of authentication or authentication and the like by utilizing the stored parameter information of the WLAN, and establishes the connection with the WLAN. The WLAN connection control device transmits feedback information to the base station.
In step 304, the base station receives feedback information from the WLAN to establish a connection with the terminal.
In step 305, the base station interacts with the terminal through the WLAN according to the feedback information from the WLAN.
By the method, the base station establishes connection with the WLAN in advance through a standard interface, the base station configures conditions and parameters for the UE to access the WLAN subsequently in advance, the terminal can automatically establish connection with the WLAN based on the existing information without the confirmation of the base station, and the WLAN is responsible for informing the base station of the connection establishment situation, so that the terminal can be quickly accessed into the WLAN, the WLAN access efficiency of a user is improved, the problem that the WLAN cannot be smoothly accessed under the condition of insufficient NR coverage is solved, and the service continuity is improved.
A schematic diagram of one embodiment of a base station of the present disclosure is shown in fig. 4. The wireless local area network information transmitting unit 401 can transmit information of a WLAN associated with the base station to the terminal, wherein the information of the WLAN includes WLAN connection condition and parameter information.
In one embodiment, the WLAN associated with the base station is a WLAN having an aggregation relationship with the base station, and the base station may obtain parameter information of the WLAN when initially establishing the aggregation relationship with the WLAN. In one embodiment, the parameter information may include key information, or other access requirements, etc. And when the terminal meets the WLAN connection condition, establishing connection with the WLAN according to the parameter information of the WLAN. And after the WLAN determines that the terminal is accessed, the WLAN sends feedback information to the base station, wherein the feedback information may comprise a terminal identifier.
The feedback information receiving unit 402 can receive feedback information for establishing a connection with the terminal from the WLAN.
The base station can provide the connection condition and the parameter information of the WLAN associated with the terminal to the terminal when the terminal is initially accessed, so that the terminal is accessed to the WLAN when the terminal meets the condition, the terminal does not need to interact with the base station in the switching process, activation failure caused by incomplete coverage of the base station is avoided, the WLAN access efficiency of a user is improved, and the service continuity is improved.
In one embodiment, the base station may further include a wireless local area network connection establishing unit, which is capable of establishing a connection with the WLAN through a standard interface and acquiring configuration parameter information of the WLAN through an interface connected with the WLAN, so as to ensure that the base station stores the parameter information of the WLAN for providing to the terminal accessing the base station.
In an embodiment, the base station may further include an interaction unit, which is capable of interacting with the terminal through the WLAN according to the feedback information from the WLAN, so as to make up for the problem of insufficient coverage of the base station and improve the continuity of the service.
A schematic structural diagram of an embodiment of a base station of the present disclosure is shown in fig. 5. The base station comprises a memory 501 and a processor 502. Wherein: the memory 501 may be a magnetic disk, flash memory, or any other non-volatile storage medium. The memory is for storing instructions in the corresponding embodiments of the network access method above. The processor 502 is coupled to the memory 501 and may be implemented as one or more integrated circuits, such as a microprocessor or microcontroller. The processor 502 is configured to execute instructions stored in the memory, so as to improve the efficiency of accessing the WLAN by the user and improve the service continuity.
In one embodiment, as also shown in fig. 6, the base station 600 includes a memory 601 and a processor 602. The processor 602 is coupled to the memory 601 by a BUS 603. The base station 600 may also be coupled to an external storage 605 via a storage interface 604 for invoking external data, and to a network or another computer system (not shown) via a network interface 606. And will not be described in detail herein.
In the embodiment, the data instruction is stored in the memory, and the processor processes the instruction, so that the WLAN access efficiency of the user can be improved, and the service continuity is improved.
In another embodiment, a computer readable storage medium has stored thereon computer program instructions which, when executed by a processor, implement the steps of the method in a corresponding embodiment of the network access method. As will be appreciated by one skilled in the art, embodiments of the present disclosure may be provided as a method, apparatus, or computer program product. Accordingly, the present disclosure may take the form of an entirely hardware embodiment, an entirely software embodiment or an embodiment combining software and hardware aspects. Furthermore, the present disclosure may take the form of a computer program product embodied on one or more computer-usable non-transitory storage media (including, but not limited to, disk storage, CD-ROM, optical storage, and the like) having computer-usable program code embodied therein.
A schematic diagram of one embodiment of a network access system of the present disclosure is shown in fig. 7. The network access system includes a base station 71 and a WLAN connection control device 72. The base station 71 may be any of the base stations mentioned above. The WLAN connection control equipment can take over user service under the condition that the terminal accesses the WLAN, and sends feedback information to the associated base station so that the base station and the terminal can perform data interaction through the WLAN.
In one embodiment, the network access system may further include: the terminal 73 can receive the WLAN information from the base station 71, and establish connection with the WLAN according to the WLAN parameters when the WLAN connection condition in the WLAN information is satisfied. A signaling flow diagram of the interaction between the base station 71, the WLAN connection control device 72 and the terminal 73 can be seen in fig. 8.
In 801-802 (shown as 701 in fig. 7), the base station establishes a connection with the WLAN in advance through a standard interface, and acquires configuration parameters related to the WLAN.
In 803-804 (as shown in 702 of FIG. 7), after the terminal accesses the base station, the base station configures the terminal with the WLAN access conditions and the WLAN related parameters required for access.
When the condition for accessing the WLAN is satisfied, the terminal directly initiates a connection with the WLAN based on the existing WLAN parameters, and completes the processes of authentication and the like (as shown in 703 in fig. 7), without confirming to the base station.
In 805, after the terminal completes connection with the WLAN, the WLAN sends a connection complete indication to the base station through the interface (as shown in 704 in fig. 7), and then the WLAN may offload uplink and downlink traffic data from the base station (as shown in 705 in fig. 7).
The network access system realizes that the terminal is accessed to the WLAN quickly, improves the efficiency of accessing the WLAN by the user, solves the problem that the WLAN cannot be accessed smoothly under the condition of insufficient NR coverage, and improves the service continuity.

1. A network access method, comprising:
a base station sends information of a wireless local area network associated with the base station to a terminal, wherein the information of the wireless local area network comprises wireless local area network connection conditions and parameter information;
and the base station receives feedback information which comes from the wireless local area network and establishes connection with the terminal, wherein after the terminal meets the wireless local area network connection condition, the base station establishes connection with the wireless local area network according to the parameter information of the wireless local area network.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
the base station establishes connection with an associated wireless local area network;
and the base station acquires the parameter information of the wireless local area network through an interface connected with the wireless local area network.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the base station is preset with wireless local area network connection condition information, and the wireless local area network connection condition includes one or more of a signal strength threshold for connecting to a wireless local area network and an authority requirement.
4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
and the base station performs data interaction with the terminal through the wireless local area network according to the feedback information from the wireless local area network.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the wireless local area network associated with the base station comprises a wireless local area network with a coverage area adjacent to and/or overlapping a base station.
6. A base station, comprising:
a wireless local area network information transmitting unit configured to transmit information of an associated wireless local area network to a terminal, wherein the information of the wireless local area network includes wireless local area network connection conditions and parameter information;
the feedback information receiving unit is configured to receive feedback information which comes from a wireless local area network and establishes connection with a terminal, wherein after the terminal meets the wireless local area network connection condition, the connection with the wireless local area network is established according to the parameter information of the wireless local area network.
7. The base station of claim 6, further comprising:
the wireless local area network connection establishing unit is configured to establish connection with the associated wireless local area network and acquire parameter information of the wireless local area network.
8. The base station of claim 6, further comprising:
and the connection switching unit is configured to perform data interaction with the terminal through the wireless local area network according to the feedback information from the wireless local area network.
