It is to be understood that although the terms first, second, third, etc. may be used herein to describe various information, such information should not be limited to these terms. These terms are only used to distinguish one type of information from another. For example, first information may also be referred to as second information, and similarly, second information may also be referred to as first information, without departing from the scope of the present application. The word "if" as used herein may be interpreted as "at … …" or "when … …" or "in response to a determination", depending on the context.
Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view of an electronic device according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in fig. 1, the electronic device may include a device body 1 and a flexible display module 2 disposed on a surface of the device body 1; for example, the flexible display module 2 may be an OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display module, although the disclosure is not limited thereto.
In an embodiment, the device body 1 may include a first body 11 and a second body 12 adjacent to each other, and the first body 11 and the second body 12 may be switched between an unfolded state and a folded state. For example, fig. 1 shows the first body 11 and the second body 12 in an unfolded state, and it can be seen that the first body 11 and the second body 12 are disposed adjacent to each other in the y-axis direction; meanwhile, the first body 11 and the second body 12 can rotate relative to each other around the axis L shown in fig. 1, so as to switch from the unfolded state shown in fig. 1 to the folded state shown in fig. 2, where fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of an electronic device in the folded state according to an exemplary embodiment.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the flexible display module 2 is disposed on one side (i.e., the top side in fig. 1) of the apparatus body 1 in the positive direction of the z-axis; and the apparatus body 1 further includes the other side (i.e., the bottom surface in fig. 1) in the direction opposite to the z-axis, and the other side may be further divided into: a first surface 111 belonging to the first body 11, and a second surface 121 belonging to the second body 12, and the first surface 111 and the second surface 121 are attached in a folded state as shown in fig. 2.
Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of one of the electronic devices shown in fig. 2 taken along the direction a-a. As shown in fig. 3, the first surface 111 and the second surface 121 are not completely attached to each other, and a bending structure is formed at a connection position of the first surface 111 and the second surface 121, the bending structure is arc-shaped, takes the point O as a center, and can be characterized by a corresponding arc radius, which is a folding radius R between the first surface 111 and the second surface 121; the folding radius R formed by the method is smaller than or equal to the preset value R0, so that the value of the folding radius R is far smaller than that in the related art (usually not smaller than 3.0mm), the visual effect of almost complete fitting between the first surface 111 and the second surface 121 can be presented, the thickness of the electronic equipment in the z-axis direction when the electronic equipment is in the folded state can be reduced, and the portability of the electronic equipment is improved.
In an embodiment, the value of the preset value R0 may at least visually realize complete adhesion between the first surface 111 and the second surface 121; in other words, when the user observes the electronic apparatus in the folded state through the human eye, as long as it is ensured that the folding radius R is not greater than the preset value R0, the user can be enabled to obtain the visual effect of "complete fitting between the first surface 111 and the second surface 121".
In an embodiment, the preset value R0 may be not greater than 1.8 mm. Further, the preset value R0 may be not greater than 1.0 mm. After the relevant structure or process of the electronic device is adjusted, the value of the preset value R0 can be further reduced, so that the first surface 111 and the second surface 121 can be further attached, even completely attached.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 2-3, the flexible display module 2 is disposed on one side of the device body 1, and the first surface 111 and the second surface 121 are disposed on the other side of the device body 1. In other embodiments, the flexible display module 2 may be located on the same side of the device body 1 as the first surface 111 and the second surface 121. For example, fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram illustrating another electronic device in a folded state according to an exemplary embodiment; fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of one of the electronic devices shown in fig. 4 taken along the direction B-B. As shown in fig. 4-5, when the electronic device is switched to the folded state, the flexible display screen module 2 can be "wrapped" inside; since the flexible display screen module 2 covers the first surface 111 and the second surface 112, the flexible display screen module 2 bends at the joint of the first surface 111 and the second surface 121, so that the folding radius R is less than or equal to the preset value R0.
The embodiments shown in fig. 2-3 and 4-5 described above can be further modified as described below; the following describes the related improvements by taking the electronic device shown in fig. 2-3 as an example.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 2-3, based on the connection between the first surface 111 and the second surface 121, the thickness of the first body 11 is substantially uniform in a direction from far to near the connection (i.e., in a direction from right to left in fig. 3), and the thickness of the second body 12 is similarly uniform, so that the overall thickness of the electronic device is not uniform when the electronic device is in the folded state, such as the thickness of the left side is relatively larger and the thickness of the right side is relatively smaller in fig. 3. Therefore, the first body 11, the second body 12, or both can be modified; accordingly, FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of the alternative electronic device shown in FIG. 2 taken along the A-A direction. As shown in fig. 6, based on the connection between the first surface 111 and the second surface 121, the thickness of the first body may gradually decrease from d1 to d2 in a direction from far to near the connection (i.e., in a direction from right to left in fig. 6), and the thickness of the second body also gradually decreases symmetrically, and the decrease is matched with the folding radius R, so that the thickness of the device body 1 in the folded state in the above direction is substantially constant, and a better grip feeling can be obtained by a user. Of course, the first body 11 and the second body 12 do not necessarily have to be a symmetrical structure; alternatively, only either one of the first body 11 and the second body 12 may be made to realize the thickness variation, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the further electronic device shown in fig. 2, taken along the direction a-a. For the upper and lower edges of the device body in the y-axis direction, that is, the edges 112 and 122 shown in fig. 7, the flexible display screen module 2 may be covered, so that the flexible display screen module 2 may be in arc transition at the edges 112 and 122, on one hand, a better hand feeling may be obtained, and on the other hand, a visual frameless effect may be achieved through a refraction principle, thereby achieving a larger screen occupation ratio. Similarly, the flexible display screen module 2 can implement coverage and circular arc transition at the left and right edges of the device body in the x-axis direction, which is not described herein again.
Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view of the further electronic device shown in fig. 2 taken along the direction a-a. As shown in fig. 8, the second body 12 may have a smaller size than the first body 11, so that a device area 110 that cannot be covered by the second body 12 exists on a surface (i.e., a first surface 111) of the first body 11 facing the second body 12, and a camera may be disposed at the device area 110, so that a user may apply the camera as a rear camera by viewing the display content of the flexible display module 2 at the first body 11 and apply the camera as a front camera by viewing the display content of the flexible display module 2 at the second body 12.
Fig. 9 is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device having multiple foldable bodies, according to an example embodiment. As shown in fig. 9, the device body 1 of the electronic device may include a body 1A, a body 1B, and a body 1C, where the body 1A is adjacent to the body 1B, and the body 1B is adjacent to the body 1C, the body 1A and the body 1B may be regarded as a group, and the body 1B and the body 1C may be regarded as a group, and the relationship between the two bodies of each group may refer to the description related to the first body 11 and the second body 12 in the above embodiments, for example, a folding radius R1 formed at a connection between the body 1A and the body 1B is not greater than R0, and a folding radius R2 formed at a connection between the body 1B and the body 1C is not greater than R0, which is not described herein again. Of course, the device body 1 may also comprise more groups of bodies, which are not listed here.
Other embodiments of the disclosure will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the disclosure disclosed herein. This application is intended to cover any variations, uses, or adaptations of the disclosure following, in general, the principles of the disclosure and including such departures from the present disclosure as come within known or customary practice within the art to which the disclosure pertains. It is intended that the specification and examples be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope and spirit of the disclosure being indicated by the following claims.
It will be understood that the present disclosure is not limited to the precise arrangements described above and shown in the drawings and that various modifications and changes may be made without departing from the scope thereof. The scope of the present disclosure is limited only by the appended claims.
