Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of shared base stations, in particular to a method and a device for improving paging success rate of a shared base station.
Background
The incoming call service of the mobile communication system is established on the basis of finding the mobile subscriber through radio paging and redistributing the required network resources. That is, the radio paging success rate is also an important network quality indicator. Moreover, the index also directly influences the success rate of system call-in and short message receiving success rate and other network assessment quality indexes. Therefore, maintaining and improving the radio paging success rate has been the major task of network optimization.
In order to confirm the location of a mobile station, a coverage area of a mobile communication network is divided into a plurality of Tracking Areas (TAs), which are basic units for location update and paging in a mobile communication system, and a plurality of cells are included under the same TA. When a user is attached, an MME (Mobility Management Entity, which is a key node of a 3GPP protocol LTE access network) allocates a group of TA Lists (length 1-16) to the user and sends the TA Lists to the user for storage. When the user needs to be paged, the network sends a paging message to the user in a cell contained in the TAList. At this time, all cells receiving the network paging message will send paging message over the air interface to ensure that the designated user can be paged. It is conceivable that the paging capacity is very large and the paging channel resources are consumed. Under the same TA List, the more cells, the more paging messages received by a single cell and invalid for the cell, the more paging capacity of the cell is easily exceeded, that is, the paging overload is caused.
If the paging fails due to the reasons of location update, call setup conflict, terminal power-off, weak coverage or blind area, etc., the MSC (Mobile Switching center) initiates a secondary paging according to the current policy. The second paging, i.e. global paging, is to page the user in the whole MSC. Secondary paging is the method which can solve the problem of paging failure, but the paging quantity of an air interface is multiplied, the paging channel resource is further consumed, the paging overload is further aggravated, and the method is undoubtedly a huge test on the network performance.
In a mobile communication system, with the increasing of mobile users, the rapid growth of voice and data services, the increasing of the load of RNC (Radio Network Controller) equipment, the increasing of RNC paging congestion rate and paging overload rate, the more serious the problem triggered by paging failure and paging time extension, and the direct influence on user experience.
When the paging congestion occurs in the cell, the paging message can not be sent. The current technology is to count the congestion situation of the paging channel of the current network, and if the congestion situation of the paging channel exists, the congestion situation is avoided or improved by adjusting parameters and expanding capacity. But as the cell capacity reaches the upper limit, paging overload inevitably occurs. For paging overload, the current solution is to discard some policy or discard some amount of the overloaded paging message, without distinguishing whether it is an idle user in the cell. This will inevitably result in that some users cannot be paged, and the following secondary paging strategy further aggravates paging overload of large-scale cells, resulting in a vicious circle.
The above problem is more pronounced within shared base stations. The reason is that the shared base station needs to serve two or more operators (assumed to be N operators) at the same time, the network side of each operator sends a network side paging message to the shared base station, the network side paging pressure of the shared base station is equal to N times that of the unshared base station, and the air interface side paging pressure is also N times that of the unshared base station. Therefore, the shared base station must solve the problem of paging pressure being too great.
