In the field of electrical connectors for supplying power to PCB boards, power connectors are generally used to transmit power by inserting a plug and a socket in an axial direction. The structure of the plug in the prior art is axially provided with a cable sheath area, a wire locking area and an interworking area for plugging a plug terminal and a socket terminal; similarly, the socket is axially arranged into an interfitting region where the socket terminal and the plug terminal are plugged and a connecting region where the socket terminal and the PCB are connected. The problem that the space of the cabinet is limited, the axial position is strictly limited, the power connector used for power transmission cannot be selected due to overlarge size, and how to design the connector capable of compressing the axial space is necessary, so that the basic requirement of the main function of power transmission can be met, and the power connector normally connected with a PCB (printed circuit board) can be met.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims at the defects of the prior art and provides a power connector with a built-in plug assembly, the invention adopts a cylindrical groove structure that a socket shell of the socket assembly is designed into a structure that the front end is provided with a rectangular cylindrical plug terminal cavity and the rear end is provided with a socket terminal slot, the plug terminal of the plug assembly is divided into a two-section design of a locking wire sheet and an elastic chuck, the locking wire sheet, a locking wire frame and a wire pressing plate are combined in an inner base to be used as one section, the elastic chuck is used as the other section, when the plug assembly is spliced with the socket assembly, the section of the inner base arranged on the plug assembly is completely inserted in a plug terminal cavity of the socket assembly seat shell, and the other section of the elastic chuck arranged on the plug assembly is completely superposed with the socket terminal of the socket assembly; to this end, the overall length of the plug assembly of the present invention that mates with the receptacle assembly is approximately the length of the receptacle housing of the receptacle assembly. Referring to fig. 1, 2 and 3, the present invention includes a receptacle assembly 1 and a plug assembly 2.
Referring to fig. 1, 2 and 3, the socket assembly 1 is composed of a socket housing 11 and socket terminals 12, the socket housing 11 is a cylindrical slot structure having a rectangular cylindrical plug terminal cavity 111 at the front end and a socket terminal slot 112 at the rear end, the cylindrical slot structure of the socket housing 11 is one or more parallel arranged, and the top of the port of the plug terminal cavity 111 is provided with a buckle 113; the socket terminal 12 is a plate-like member, and the socket terminal 12 is inserted into the socket terminal insertion groove 112.
Referring to fig. 1, 2, 4 and 6, the plug assembly 2 is composed of an inner base 21, a plug terminal 22, a wire locking frame 23, a wire pressing plate 24 and a wire locking screw 25, the inner base 21 is a housing member with a top portion provided with an elastic locking arm 211, and the elastic locking arm 211 is provided with a locking groove 212; one end of the plug terminal 22 is provided with a locking wire piece 221, and the other end is provided with an elastic chuck 222; the lock wire frame 23 is provided with a threaded hole;
one end of the wire pressing plate 24 and one end of the plug terminal 22, which are provided with the wire locking sheets 221, are arranged in the wire locking frame 23, the wire locking frame 23 is arranged in the inner base 21, and the wire locking screws 25 are arranged in threaded holes of the wire locking frame 23;
referring to fig. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, the plug assembly 2 is plugged into the socket assembly 1, the inner base 21 of the plug assembly 2 is plugged into the plug terminal cavity 111 of the socket housing 11 of the socket assembly 1, and the resilient clip 21 of the plug assembly 2 is plugged into the socket terminal 12 of the socket assembly 1;
the locking slots 212 of the flexible locking arms 211 of the plug assembly 2 engage with the locking tabs 113 of the plug terminal cavities 111.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, the elastic locking arm 211 of the inner base 21 is provided with an air opening 213.
Referring to fig. 1 and 5, the upper edge of the socket terminal 12 is provided with a plurality of pins.
Examples
The invention works as follows:
referring to fig. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, the resilient latch arms 211 on the top of the inner base 21 are depressed to disengage the latch slots 212 of the resilient latch arms 211 on the plug assembly 2 from the latches 113 of the plug terminal cavities 111. The inner base 21 together with the wire locking frame 23, the wire pressing plate 24 and the plug terminal 22 are pulled out from the plug terminal cavity 111 of the socket housing 11 of the socket assembly 1 by the force of the elastic locking arm 211; inserting the cable to be connected with the stripped wire core into the wire locking frame 23 of the inner base 21, enabling the wire core to be positioned between the wire pressing plate 24 and the wire locking sheet 221 of the plug terminal 22, screwing the wire locking screw 25, forcing the wire pressing plate 24 to move downwards by the wire locking screw 25, and fixedly connecting the wire core between the wire pressing plate 24 and the wire locking sheet 221 of the plug terminal 22; inserting the plug assembly 2 into the socket assembly 1, inserting the inner base 21 of the plug assembly 2 into the plug terminal cavity 111 of the socket housing 11 of the socket assembly 1, and inserting the elastic chuck 21 of the plug assembly 2 into the socket terminal 12 of the socket assembly 1; the latch slots 212 of the flexible latch arms 211 of the plug assembly 2 engage the latches 113 of the plug terminal cavities 111. Completing the plugging of the plug assembly 2 and the socket assembly 1.
Referring to fig. 1 and 5, the PCB is disposed at the upper edge of the socket terminal 12, and the electrical connection point on the PCB is inserted into the pin of the socket terminal 12 to electrically connect the PCB, and the PCB is disposed at the upper edge of the socket terminal 12, so that the PCB is connected to the elastic collet 21 of the plug assembly 2 and above the socket terminal 12 of the socket assembly 1, thereby saving the space in the axial direction of the electrical connector.
Referring to fig. 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, the socket housing 11 of the socket assembly 1 is designed to be a cylindrical structure having a rectangular cylindrical plug terminal cavity 111 at the front end and a socket terminal slot 112 at the rear end, the plug terminal 22 of the plug assembly 2 is divided into two sections of the locking wire piece 221 and the elastic chuck 222, the locking wire piece 221, the locking wire frame 23, and the wire pressing plate 24 are combined in the inner base 21 as one section, the elastic chuck 222 is exposed outside the inner base 21 as another section, when the plug assembly 2 is plugged into the socket assembly 1, the section of the inner base 21 on the plug assembly 2 is completely inserted into the plug terminal cavity 111 of the socket housing 11 of the socket assembly 1, and the other section of the elastic chuck 21 on the plug assembly 2 is completely overlapped with the socket terminal 12 of the socket assembly 1 in the section; therefore, the total length of the plug component 2 and the socket component 1 is similar to the length of the socket shell 11 of the socket component 1, the axial space of the connector is greatly reduced, the basic requirement of the main function of power transmission is met, and normal connection with a PCB can be met.
Referring to fig. 1, 3 and 4, in consideration of heat dissipation, the present invention provides an air opening 213 on the flexible locking arm 211 of the inner base 21, so as to accelerate air circulation and facilitate heat dissipation of the plug terminal 22.
Referring to fig. 1, 2 and 4, the inner base 21 of the plug assembly 2, together with the wire locking frame 23, the wire pressing plate 24 and the plug terminal 22, are inserted into the plug terminal cavity 111 of the socket housing 11 of the socket assembly 1 according to the present invention, so as to solve the hidden and insulated problem of the wire locking screw 25 on the plug assembly 2, and omit the outer shell of the plug assembly 2.
Referring to fig. 1 and 4, the socket housing 11 of the present invention is a cylindrical slot structure having a rectangular cylindrical plug terminal cavity 111 at the front end and a socket terminal slot 112 at the rear end, and the plug assembly 2 is provided with an elastic locking arm 211 and a locking slot 212, the elastic locking arm 211 and the locking slot 212 are locked with the buckle 113 above the plug terminal cavity 111, the locking structure does not occupy the space at both sides of the socket housing 11, so that the cylindrical slot structure of the socket housing 11 is designed to be one or more parallel arrangement to satisfy the parallel arrangement of a plurality of plug assemblies 2, thereby forming a multi-terminal electrical connector and saving the space in the width direction.
