Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, so that the above is the core idea of the present invention, and the above objects, features and advantages of the present invention can be more clearly understood. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a stretchable display panel, as shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, fig. 1 is a schematic top view structure of the stretchable display panel provided in an unstretched state, and fig. 2 is a schematic partial top view structure of the stretchable display panel shown in fig. 1 in a stretched state, where the stretchable display panel includes a stretchable substrate 1, a plurality of display units 2, a plurality of routing lines 3 and stretching bars 4, and of course, the stretchable display panel further includes a gate driving circuit and a driving chip, and details are not repeated herein.
The stretchable substrate 1 includes a plurality of island structures 10 and a plurality of stretchable bridges 11, the plurality of island structures 10 are disposed at intervals, and the stretchable bridges 11 connect two adjacent island structures 10. That is, the island structures 10 are separated structures, one end of the stretchable bridge 11 is connected to one island structure 10, and the other end of the stretchable bridge 11 is connected to another island structure 10, so as to connect two adjacent island structures 10.
Alternatively, the stretchable bridges 11 in the present embodiment are serpentine bridges, i.e. wavy bridges, i.e. the stretchable bridges 11 are serpentine in the bent state in the unstretched state. When the stretchable substrate 1 is not stretched, the stretchable bridges 11 naturally contract into a serpentine shape, and when the stretchable substrate 1 is stretched, the stretchable bridges 11 are stretched to be maximally stretched into an approximately linear state and drive the island-shaped structures 10 to move, so that gaps between the island-shaped structures 10 are increased, but the size and shape of each island-shaped structure 10 do not change, so as to ensure that the display units 2 and the like on the island-shaped structures 10 are not damaged.
In the embodiment of the present invention, only the island-shaped structure 10 is illustrated as a rectangular structure, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiments, the island-shaped structure 10 may be a circular or elliptical structure. Also, the shape of the stretchable bridge 11 in the present invention is not limited to the serpentine shape, and in other embodiments, the shape of the stretchable bridge 11 may be a spring shape, a wave shape, or the like.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of display units 2 are respectively disposed on the plurality of island structures 10. Specifically, one or more display units 2 are disposed on each island structure 10, and the embodiment of the present invention is described by taking an example in which only one display unit 2 is disposed on one island structure 10. The display unit 2 includes a light emitting structure including a light emitting diode, an organic light emitting diode, and the like, and a driving circuit connected to the light emitting structure. And, the light emitting structure includes at least light emitting structures emitting red, green and blue light to realize a display function of the stretchable display panel.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of wires 3 are disposed on the stretchable bridge 11, the plurality of wires 3 extend along the stretchable bridge 11 and are not connected to each other, and at least one wire 3 is a signal line connected to the display unit 2. That is, when two display units 2 are respectively disposed on two adjacent island structures 10, the wirings connecting the two display units 2 are disposed on the stretchable bridge 11 connecting the two island structures 10, and one end of the wiring is connected to one of the display units 2 and the other end of the wiring is connected to the other display unit 2, so as to realize signal transmission between the display units 2.
The bending form of the plurality of wires 3 is the same as that of the stretchable bridge 11, and the bending form of the plurality of wires 3 changes with the change of the bending form of the stretchable bridge 11, so as to avoid the risk of wire breakage and the like of the wires 3 caused by the change of the bending form of the stretchable bridge 11. That is, when the stretchable bridge 11 is in a serpentine coiled state, the plurality of traces 3 are also in a serpentine coiled state; when the stretchable bridge 11 is in an approximately linear state, the plurality of traces 3 are also in an approximately linear state.
In the present embodiment, the stretch strips 4 are also disposed on the stretchable bridge 11, and the stretch strips 4 span a plurality of tracks 3. In the first state of the stretchable display panel, i.e. in the unstretched state of the stretchable bridge 11, the stretch strip 4 is not in contact with the plurality of tracks 3 simultaneously, that is, the stretch strip 4 may be in contact with one of the plurality of tracks 3, but not with all of the tracks 3 across which it spans simultaneously. In the second state of the stretchable display panel, i.e. in the state where the stretchable bridge 11 is stretched, the stretch bar 4 is in simultaneous contact with the plurality of traces 3, i.e. the stretch bar 4 is in simultaneous contact with all the traces 3 across it, so that the plurality of traces 3 are connected in parallel.
It should be noted that the stretchable display panel in the embodiment of the present invention at least includes a first state and a second state, where the difference between the first state and the second state is whether the stretchable display panel is stretched, and of course, in other embodiments of the present invention, the stretchable display panel may be further divided into a third state and a fourth state according to whether the stretchable display panel is stretched, which is not described herein again. In addition, it should be further noted that the materials of the traces 3 and the stretch strips 4 in the embodiment of the present invention are both conductive materials. Optionally, the materials of the traces 3 and the stretch strips 4 are both metal materials, so that parallel connection between a plurality of traces 3 is realized through the stretch strips 4.
Because under the second state of the display panel that can stretch, under the tensile state of the bridge 11 that can stretch promptly, stretch 4 and many walk line 3 simultaneous contact, realized many and walked the parallelly connected of line 3, consequently, can reduce under the tensile state many and walk the total impedance of line 3, avoided walking the problem that line impedance grow influences the display quality of display panel that can stretch under the tensile state.
In addition, in the first state of the stretchable display panel, that is, in the unstretched state of the stretchable bridge 11, the stretching bar 4 and the plurality of traces 3 are not in contact at the same time, that is, the plurality of traces 3 are not in parallel connection at the same time, so that the total impedance of the plurality of traces 3 before and after stretching can be substantially maintained, and the display stability of the stretchable display panel is ensured.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional structure of the stretchable display panel shown in fig. 1 along a cutting line AA ', and fig. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional structure of the stretchable display panel shown in fig. 2 along a cutting line BB', the stretch bar 4 includes a first connection portion 4a, a second connection portion 4b, a first support portion 4c, a second support portion 4d, and a hanging portion 4 e.
As shown in fig. 3, the first connecting portion 4a and the second connecting portion 4b are respectively located at two sides of the plurality of wires 3, the first connecting portion 4a is located at the left side of the plurality of wires 3, the second connecting portion 4b is located at the right side of the plurality of wires 3, and the first connecting portion 4a and the second connecting portion 4b are connected to the stretchable bridge 11, so that the stretching bar 4 is fixed on the stretchable bridge 11.
The first support portion 4c connects the first connecting portion 4a and the suspended portion 4e, the second support portion 4d connects the second connecting portion 4b and the suspended portion 4e, and the extending directions of the first support portion 4c and the second support portion 4d intersect the plane where the stretchable bridge 11 is located, so that the first support portion 4c and the second support portion 4d support the suspended portion 4e to span across the plurality of traces 3 and suspend above the plurality of traces 3 in a first state.
In the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3 and 4, the stretchable bridge 11 further has a first substrate 12 on the surface. Optionally, the first substrate 12 is a Polyimide (PI) substrate. Optionally, the plane of the suspended portion 4e is parallel to the plane of the stretchable bridge 11, and certainly, the plane of the suspended portion 4e may not be parallel to the plane of the stretchable bridge 11, as long as the suspended portion 4e is not in contact with the trace 3 in the first state. In the embodiment of the present invention, only the example in which the cross-sectional shape of the stretched strip 4 is a trapezoid is described, but the present invention is not limited to this, and in other embodiments, the cross-sectional shape of the stretched strip 4 may be a rectangle, a parallelogram, or the like.
In the first state, i.e., the unstretched state, as shown in fig. 3, the first supporting portion 4c and the second supporting portion 4d support the suspending portion 4e to suspend above the plurality of traces 3, and in the second state, i.e., the stretched state, as shown in fig. 4, the stretchable bridge 11, the first substrate 12, the first supporting portion 4c, the second supporting portion 4d, and the like are stretched along the stretching direction Y, so that the suspending portion 4e moves down and contacts with the plurality of traces 3, and since the stretching bar 4 and the plurality of traces 3 are all made of a conductive material, the parallel connection of the plurality of traces 3 can be achieved through the suspending portion 4e of the stretching bar 4.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the projection of the suspended portion 4e on the plane of the stretchable substrate has a rectangular shape, an oval shape or a saddle shape, that is, the projection of the suspended portion 4e in the Z direction may have a rectangular shape, an oval shape or a saddle shape.
As shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic top view structure diagram of a suspended portion according to an embodiment of the present invention, a projection of the suspended portion 4e is rectangular, and an extending direction of a long side of the rectangle is the same as an extending direction of the suspended portion 4 e.
As shown in fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic top view of another suspension portion according to an embodiment of the present invention, when the projection of the suspension portion 4e is an ellipse, the suspension portion 4e includes a first end e1 and a second end e2 arranged along the long axis direction of the ellipse, the first end e1 is connected to the first support portion 4c, and the second end e2 is connected to the second support portion 4 d.
As shown in fig. 7, fig. 7 is a schematic top view structure diagram of another suspension portion provided by the embodiment of the present invention, when the projection of the suspension portion 4e is shaped like a saddle, the suspension portion 4e includes a first sub-portion 4e1, a second sub-portion 4e2 and a third sub-portion 4e3 arranged along the cross direction, a width L2 of the second sub-portion 4e2 projected in the cross direction is smaller than a width L1 of the first sub-portion 4e1 projected in the cross direction, and a width L2 of the second sub-portion 4e2 projected in the cross direction is smaller than a width L3 of the third sub-portion 4e3 projected in the cross direction. Since the width L2 of the projection of the second sub-portion 4e2 in the direction perpendicular to the crossing direction is small, the weight of the middle portion of the suspended portion 4e can be reduced, so that the first support portion 4c and the second support portion 4d can better support the suspended portion 4e above the plurality of traces 3.
In the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, the plurality of traces 3 includes at least one first trace 31 and at least one second trace 32, the first trace 31 is a signal line connecting the display units 2 on two adjacent island structures 10, the second trace 32 is arranged in a floating manner in the first state, that is, the second trace 32 is not connected to any circuit structure in the first state, that is, in an unstretched state, and the second trace 32 is connected in parallel to the first trace 31 in the second state, that is, in a stretched state, so as to reduce the impedance of the first trace 31 and prevent the display quality of the display panel from being affected by an excessive impedance of the first trace 31.
In the drawings of the embodiment of the present invention, only one first trace 31 and one second trace 32 are taken as an example for illustration, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiments, the plurality of traces 3 may further include a plurality of first traces 31, and the plurality of first traces 31 extend along the stretchable bridge 11 and are disposed in parallel. Based on this, when a certain first wire 31 is broken due to stretching, the other first wires 31 connected in parallel with the certain first wire can also realize signal transmission, thereby ensuring normal display of the stretchable display panel.
Alternatively, in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the plurality of island-shaped structures 10 are distributed in an array along a first direction X and a second direction Y, so that the display units 2 are arranged in an array to realize an array display of pixels, where the first direction X is perpendicular to the second direction Y.
Wherein the stretchable bridge 11 includes a first stretchable bridge 111 and a second stretchable bridge 112, the first stretchable bridge 111 is connected with two island-shaped structures 10 adjacent in the first direction X, and the second stretchable bridge 112 is connected with two island-shaped structures 10 adjacent in the second direction Y.
The stretch panel 4 includes a first stretch panel 41 and a second stretch panel 42, the first stretch panel 41 is disposed on the first stretchable bridge 111, the first stretch panel 41 extends in the first direction X, or the extension direction of the first stretch panel 4 intersects with but is not perpendicular to the first direction X, the second stretch panel 42 is disposed on the second stretchable bridge 112, and the second stretch panel 42 extends in the second direction Y, or the extension direction of the second stretch panel 42 intersects with but is not perpendicular to the second direction Y.
Based on this, when the stretchable display panel is stretched in the first direction X, the first stretchable bridge 111 and the first stretching bar 41 are stretched, and the first stretching bar 41 can realize parallel connection of the plurality of wires 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111, so as to reduce the total impedance of the plurality of wires 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111, and avoid the display quality of the stretchable display panel being affected by the increased impedance of the wires 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111.
Moreover, since the first stretch bar 41 extends along the first direction X, or the extending direction of the first stretch bar 4 is not perpendicular to the first direction X, when the stretchable display panel is stretched in the first direction X, the first stretch bar 4 can capture the stretch at the first time, or the first stretch bar 4 can be stretched at the first time, so that the parallel connection of the plurality of traces 3 can be realized at the first time when the traces 3 are stretched, and the sensitivity of the parallel response of the plurality of traces 3 is further improved.
When the stretchable display panel is stretched in the second direction Y, the second stretchable bridge 112 and the second stretching bar 42 are stretched, and the second stretching bar 42 can realize parallel connection of the plurality of wires 3 on the second stretchable bridge 112, so as to reduce the total impedance of the plurality of wires 3 on the second stretchable bridge 112, and avoid the impedance of the wires 3 on the second stretchable bridge 112 from being increased to affect the display quality of the stretchable display panel.
Moreover, since the second stretch strip 42 extends along the second direction Y, or the extending direction of the second stretch strip 42 is intersected with the second direction Y but not perpendicular thereto, when the stretchable display panel is stretched in the second direction Y, the second stretch strip 42 can capture the stretch at the first time, or the second stretch strip 42 can be stretched at the first time, so that the parallel connection of the plurality of traces 3 can be realized at the first time when the traces 3 are stretched, and the sensitivity of the parallel response of the plurality of traces 3 is further improved.
Optionally, the plurality of traces 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111 and the second stretchable bridge 112 include a first trace 31 and a second trace 32, and optionally, the first trace 31 on the first stretchable bridge 111 is a gate line connected to a driving circuit in the display unit 2, so as to implement transmission of a scanning signal through the gate line; the first traces 31 on the second stretchable bridge 112 are data lines connected to the driving circuits in the display unit 2 to implement transmission of data signals through the data lines. Of course, the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiments, the first trace 31 may also be a signal line for transmitting a stretching signal, which is not described herein again.
In the present embodiment, the first stretchable bridge 111 is a serpentine bridge, i.e., a wave-shaped bridge. The overall direction of the first stretchable bridge 111 is the first direction X, and the vibrating direction is the second direction Y, i.e. the first stretchable bridge 111 extends along the first direction X and bends toward the second direction Y. The bending shape of the trace 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111 is the same as the bending shape of the first stretchable bridge 111, and the bending shape of the trace 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111 changes with the change of the bending shape of the first stretchable bridge 111, so as to avoid the risk that the trace 3 on the first stretchable bridge is broken due to the change of the bending shape of the first stretchable bridge 111. In addition, since the first stretchable bridge 111 is bent toward the second direction Y while extending along the first direction X, the first stretching bar 41 is conveniently disposed at the bending region of the first stretchable bridge 111, so that the first stretching bar 41 can be disposed perpendicular to the plurality of traces 3 on the first stretchable bridge 111 while extending in the first direction X.
The second stretchable bridge 112 is a serpentine bridge, i.e. a wave-shaped bridge, the overall direction of the second stretchable bridge 112 is the second direction Y, and the vibrating direction is the first direction X, i.e. the second stretchable bridge 112 extends along the second direction Y and is also bent towards the first direction X. The bending shape of the trace 3 on the second stretchable bridge 112 is the same as the bending shape of the second stretchable bridge 112, and the bending shape of the trace 3 on the second stretchable bridge 112 changes with the change of the bending shape of the second stretchable bridge 112, so as to avoid the risk of the trace 3 on the second stretchable bridge 112 breaking due to the change of the bending shape thereof.
