Technical Field

Background
Self-Piercing Riveting (SPR) is a cold joining technique used to join two or more metal sheets. After the special rivet penetrates through the top layer of the plate, the hollow structure at the tail part of the rivet is expanded and penetrated without penetrating through the bottom layer of the plate under the action of the riveting die, so that a firm riveting point is formed.
At present, self-piercing riveting is widely applied to all-aluminum vehicle body connection, a rivet is directly pressed into a plate to be riveted through power provided by a motor, and the riveting plate is filled in a riveting die after plastic deformation and forming of the riveting plate and the rivet under the pressure of the rivet, so that a brand-new plate connecting technology is formed. The self-piercing riveting has high fatigue resistance and static fastening force, so that the vehicle model manufactured by the mode has stronger vehicle body rigidity, can bear more severe impact when facing the impact, and ensures the safety of personnel in the vehicle as much as possible.
In the actual riveting process of the automobile body, the number of the automobile body connecting points is large and the automobile body connecting points are distributed in all directions of automobile body parts. In order to meet the requirement of consistency of the data theoretical position and the production position, point drawing calibration needs to be carried out on the vehicle body according to the self-piercing riveting point position of the data theory so as to carry out batch connection of the self-piercing riveting points.
