Description

Method for releasing PVR function of low-end set-top box terminal
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of set top boxes, in particular to a method for releasing PVR function of a low-end set top box terminal.
Background
A digital video converter Box (STB) is a device, usually called a Set-Top Box or Set-Top Box, for connecting a television Set to an external signal source, which converts a compressed digital signal into television content and displays the television content on the television Set. The signals may come from cable, satellite dish, broadband network and terrestrial broadcast. The set-top box receives digital content, including electronic program guides, internet web pages, etc., in addition to the images and sounds that an analog television can provide. It enables users to watch digital television programs on existing television sets and to conduct interactive digital entertainment, education and commercialization activities over a network.
Personal Video Recorder (PVR), for set-top box, refers to a function related to recording programs. The set top box SN (Serial Number), i.e. the factory equipment Number of the set top box, is a unique identification code of each set top box, and each set top box has only one SN Number.
Due to market competition and consumption level limitation in different areas, certain market demands exist for low-end set top boxes which have small memories, do not support networks, are low in price and low in maintenance workload. The low-end set-top box can be divided into a set-top box supporting the PVR function and a set-top box not supporting the PVR function, when a terminal user wants to upgrade the set-top box not supporting the PVR function to the set-top box supporting the PVR function, a set-top box manufacturer or an after-sales service provider is generally required to update and distribute software, the cost of communication with the user is increased, and the difficulty and workload of software maintenance are increased.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides a method for releasing a PVR function of a low-end set-top box terminal, which solves the problems of high communication cost and high software maintenance difficulty caused by the fact that software needs to be updated and distributed when a set-top box which does not support the PVR function is upgraded to support the PVR function.
The purpose of the invention can be realized by the following technical scheme:
a method for releasing PVR function of a low-end set-top box terminal comprises the following steps:
acquiring a set top box SN of a terminal user needing to release a PVR function, and writing the set top box SN into a first file; wherein, there can be one or more said set-top boxes SN in said first file;
encrypting the first file to generate a second file;
copying the second file to a set top box of a terminal user, selecting the second file and decrypting to obtain a third file;
and searching the set top box SN of the terminal user in the third file, if the set top box SN can be found, releasing the PVR function of the set top box of the terminal user, and otherwise, carrying out no processing.
Preferably, writing the set top box SN to the first file further comprises: the first file may be a note file or other specified format file.
Preferably, writing the set top box SN to the first file further comprises: and writing the set top box SN into a first file according to a specified format.
Preferably, writing the set top box SN to the first file further comprises: each of the set-top boxes SN may be followed by one or more spaces.
Preferably, writing the set top box SN to the first file further comprises: each of said set-top boxes SN may be followed by entering a tab key and then wrapping.
Preferably, the encrypting the first file further comprises: and encrypting the first file by using the exe file corresponding to the encryption function code.
Preferably, selecting and decrypting the second file further comprises: and selecting the second file through a select key or other designated keys of the set top box remote controller.
Preferably, copying said second file to an end user's set top box further comprises: and copying the second file to a set top box of the terminal user through a Usb interface.
Preferably, generating the second file further comprises: the second file may be a lib or other arbitrary specified type of file.
The invention discloses a method for releasing PVR function of a low-end set-top box terminal, which comprises the steps of obtaining a set-top box SN of a terminal user needing to release PVR function, and writing the set-top box SN into a first file; encrypting the first file to generate a second file; copying the second file to a set top box of a terminal user, selecting the second file and decrypting to obtain a third file; and searching the set top box SN of the terminal user in the third file, if the set top box SN can be found, releasing the PVR function of the set top box of the terminal user, and otherwise, carrying out no processing. The method for releasing the PVR function of the low-end set-top box terminal can upgrade the set-top box which does not support the PVR function into the set-top box which supports the PVR function, simultaneously reduces the cost for communicating with a user, and reduces the difficulty and the workload of software maintenance.
