Abstract

The plastic die steel comprises the following chemical components in percentage by weight: 0.2-0.4% of C, 0.5-0.8% of Si, 0.5-0.7% of Mn, 13.0-17.0% of Cr13, 0.8-1.5% of Mo0, less than 0.02% of P, less than 0.005% of S, 0.08-0.25% of N and the balance of Fe.

The carbon content of the traditional cold forming die steel is in a high carbon range, the toughness of the traditional cold forming die steel is difficult to adapt to the development requirement of a cold forming die, and a part of the technology related to carburizing cold forming die steel is low-carbon steel, the core strength of the low-carbon steel is insufficient, and the low-carbon steel cannot be used for manufacturing the cold forming die with higher unit pressure; some of the techniques related to medium carbon high alloy steel, but do not combine carburization technology, but adopt an integral heat treatment process, and the surface wear resistance of the steel is far inferior to that of the traditional high carbon die steel.

The die steel has the advantages and effects that the quenching hardness can reach 54-56 HRC, and the hardness is 46-52 HRC after tempering for 4 hours at 500-540 ℃. And opening a U-shaped notch according to GB229-94 for room temperature impact, wherein the highest AK value of the impact toughness can reach 14-18J. Through alloying optimization design and heat treatment process, compared with 4Cr16Mo steel, the impact toughness of the alloy die steel is obviously improved under the same heat treatment process and the same hardness.
