Description

User route updating method and device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of wireless communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for updating a user route.
Background
At present, SUPI (Subscription persistent Identifier) in a 5G system is not transmitted over an air interface, and an initial registration request message for interaction between a UE (User Equipment) and a network employs sui (Subscription conditional Identifier), where sui is encrypted SUPI, and both sui and SUPI are used to identify a User. In the Authentication process, the Authentication service Function (Authentication service Function) entity returns the SUPI to the Access and Mobility Management Function (Access and Mobility Management Function) entity, in the subsequent flow, SUPI is used to identify inside the 5G core network, for example, the access and mobility Management Function entity selects a Unified Data Management Function (Unified Data Management) entity according to SUPI, a Session Management Function (Session Management Function) entity selects a Unified Data Management Function entity according to SUPI, and a Temporary Identifier (5G-GUTI (5G global Unified Temporary Identifier 5G, user global Unique Temporary Identifier) or 5G-S-TMSI (5G S-Temporary Mobile user Identifier)) is used to identify the user at the air interface. The sui includes a Routing ID field for Routing the UE to a corresponding unified data management function entity, and particularly for a large operator, when there are multiple sub-unified data management function entities, the unified data management function entity is often determined by the Routing ID.
At present, according to the needs of operators, there is a scenario that a user database of a part of users needs to be moved from an accessed unified data management function entity to another unified data management function entity. Therefore, how to implement automatic updating of user routing becomes an urgent problem to be solved.

When updating the user route, the embodiment of the invention selects the network element inside the core network, for example, the access and mobility management functional entity selects the unified data management functional entity, and the session management functional entity selects the unified data management functional entity; after determining that a unified data management function accessed by user equipment needs to be changed, the embodiment of the invention provides a method for automatically updating a user route.
As shown in fig. 2, a first user route updating system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a source unified data management function entity 20, an access and mobility management function entity 21 and a session management function entity 22.
The source unified data management function entity is a unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment before route updating, and the unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment after route updating is a target unified data management function entity.
The source unified data management functional entity 20 is configured to send first information indicating a routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management functional entity, so that the access and mobility management functional entity determines a target unified data management functional entity to which the user equipment is accessed after the routing update is performed, and associates the target unified data management functional entity with the target unified data management functional entity.
An access and mobility management functional entity 21, configured to receive first information indicating a routing update of a user equipment, sent by a source unified data management functional entity; and determining a target unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment after the routing is updated, and associating the target unified data management function entity with the user equipment.
And the session management functional entity 22 is configured to determine a routing update of the user equipment, determine a target unified data management functional entity to which the user equipment is accessed after the routing update, and associate the target unified data management functional entity with the target unified data management functional entity.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present invention, the UE route update may also be referred to as a Routing ID update on the UE side, and may also be referred to as a Routing ID update inside the core network, and may also be referred to as a unified data management function entity change, where both the Routing ID update and the unified data management function entity change may indicate that a unified data management function entity accessed by the UE changes.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the Routing information may also be referred to as Routing ID information on the user equipment side, and may be referred to as Routing ID information inside the core network; or the routing information may also be other information representing a unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment.
In the user route updating system provided by the embodiment of the invention, when the user route needs to be updated, the source unified data management functional entity triggers the route updating inside the core network;
specifically, the source unified data management functional entity notifies the access and mobility management functional entities to perform routing update according to the following modes:
a source unified data management functional entity sends first information containing unified data management functional entity related information and/or an indication representing user equipment routing update to an access and mobility management functional entity; or
The source uniform data management functional entity sends first information containing updated routing information to the access and mobility management functional entity; or
And the source unified data management functional entity sends first information containing updated routing information and an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management functional entity.
Correspondingly, after receiving the first information, the access and mobility management functional entity determines a target unified data management functional entity accessed by the user equipment after the route is updated.
The following describes the user route update process separately for different first information.
First, the first information contains the related information of the unified data management function entity and/or an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment.
After determining that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the source unified data management functional entity sends first information representing the routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management functional entity; for example, the operator needs to move the subscriber database of the subscriber device.
It should be noted that, after the source unified data management functional entity determines that the user equipment route update needs to be triggered, the source unified data management functional entity sends a route change notification to the user equipment through the access and mobility management functional entity;
wherein, the route change notification carries the updated route information.
A first alternative way to send a route change notification is: the source uniform data management function entity sends a route change notification to the access and mobility management function entity, and the access and mobility management function entity transmits the route change notification to the user equipment;
it should be noted that, if the route change notification is sent in this way, the access and mobility management functional entity cannot know the content of the message forwarded to the ue.
If the source unified data management function entity adopts a first mode of sending a route change notification, the source unified data management function entity sends first information representing the route update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management function entity after sending the route change notification to the user equipment through the access and mobility management function entity, and the access and mobility management function determines a target unified data management function entity according to the first information.
A second alternative way to send a route change notification is: after the source uniform data management functional entity sends the route change notification to the access and mobility management functional entity, the access and mobility management functional entity can acquire the content in the route change notification, and then the access and mobility management functional entity records the route update;
it should be noted that, when the second method of sending the route change notification is adopted, the source unified data management functional entity does not need to notify the access and mobility management functional entities of the route change again. The function of the access and mobility management function entity for recording the route change is to directly determine the target unified data management function entity after receiving the route update response of the user equipment.
The related information of the unified data management functional entity comprises identification information of a target unified data management functional entity;
the identification information of the target unified data management function entity may be a target unified data management function ID and/or a target unified data management function IP address.
The indication representing the user equipment route update may be a cause value, or a specific indication parameter;
the reason value and the specific indication parameter are both used for indicating the routing update of the user equipment or the relocation of the unified data management function.
1. The first information comprises related information of a unified data management functional entity;
a source unified data management functional entity sends first information containing unified data management functional entity related information to an access and mobility management functional entity;
correspondingly, after receiving the first information, the access and mobility management functional entity selects a target unified data management functional entity according to the unified data management functional entity related information in the first information.
2. The first information comprises an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment;
the source uniform data management functional entity sends first information containing an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management functional entity;
accordingly, the access and mobility management function entity selects a target unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment after receiving the first information.
It should be noted here that, after the unified data management function entity determines that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the configuration parameters of the user equipment are modified through the background, assuming that the user equipment is accessed to the first unified data management function entity before the routing update, and after the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment is modified to the second unified data management function; then, after receiving the first information including the indication representing the routing update of the user equipment, the access and mobility management function entity selects the unified data management function entity as a second unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
3. The first information comprises the related information of the unified data management functional entity and an indication for representing the routing update of the user equipment;
a source unified data management functional entity sends first information containing unified data management functional entity related information and an indication representing user equipment routing update to an access and mobility management functional entity;
accordingly, after the access and mobility management functional entity receives the first information, the access and mobility management functional entity may select a target unified data management functional entity according to the information related to the unified data management functional entity, or the access and mobility management functional entity may select the target unified data management functional entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
After determining a target unified data management functional entity, an access and mobility management functional entity is associated to the target unified data management functional entity;
and the access and mobility management functional entity disassociates from the source unified data management functional entity.
In addition, after determining that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the source unified data management functional entity also needs to trigger the routing update of the session management functional entity;
the session management functional entity determines the routing update of the user equipment according to the following modes:
in the mode 1, after receiving second information which is sent by the source unified data management functional entity and represents the routing update of the user equipment, the session management functional entity determines the routing update of the user equipment.
Specifically, after determining to trigger the routing update of the user equipment, the source unified data management functional entity sends second information representing the routing update of the user equipment to the session management functional entity;
wherein, the second information comprises the related information of the unified data management function entity and/or an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment.
Correspondingly, after receiving the second information sent by the source unified data management function entity, the session management function entity determines a target unified data management function entity to which the user equipment is accessed after the routing is updated.
It should be noted that the source unified data management functional entity sends the first information to the access and mobility management functional entity, and the sequence is not distinguished from the sequence from the source unified data management functional entity to the session management functional entity.
1. The second information comprises related information of a unified data management functional entity;
and after receiving second information containing the related information of the unified data management functional entity, the session management functional entity selects a target unified data management functional entity according to the related information of the unified data management functional entity in the second information.
2. The second information comprises an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment;
and after receiving second information containing an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment, the session management function entity selects a target unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
It should be noted here that, after the unified data management function entity determines that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the configuration parameters of the user equipment are modified through the background, assuming that the user equipment is accessed to the first unified data management function entity before the routing update, and after the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment is modified to the second unified data management function; then, after receiving the second information including the indication representing the routing update of the user equipment, the session management function entity selects the unified data management function entity as a second unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
3. The second information comprises the related information of the unified data management functional entity and an indication for representing the routing update of the user equipment;
after the session management functional entity receives the first information including the relevant information of the unified data management functional entity and the indication representing the routing update of the user equipment, the session management functional entity may select a target unified data management functional entity according to the relevant information of the unified data management functional entity, or the session management functional entity may select a target unified data management functional entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
And in the mode 2, the session management functional entity receives third information which is sent by the access and mobility management functional entity and represents the routing update of the user equipment.
Specifically, after receiving first information which is sent by a source unified data management functional entity and represents the routing update of the user equipment, an access and mobility management functional entity sends third information which represents the routing update of the user equipment to a session management functional entity;
wherein, the third information comprises the related information of the unified data management function entity and/or an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment.
Correspondingly, after receiving the third information sent by the access and mobility management functional entities, the session management functional entity determines a target unified data management functional entity to which the user equipment is accessed after the routing is updated.
1. The third information comprises the related information of the unified data management functional entity;
and after receiving third information containing the related information of the unified data management functional entity, the session management functional entity selects a target unified data management functional entity according to the related information of the unified data management functional entity in the third information.
2. The third information comprises an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment;
and after receiving third information containing an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment, the session management function entity selects a target unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
3. The third information comprises the related information of the unified data management functional entity and an indication for representing the routing update of the user equipment;
after the session management functional entity receives the third information including the relevant information of the unified data management functional entity and the indication indicating the routing update of the user equipment, the session management functional entity may select a target unified data management functional entity according to the relevant information of the unified data management functional entity, or the session management functional entity may select a target unified data management functional entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
After determining a target unified data management functional entity, a session management functional entity of the embodiment of the invention is associated with the target unified data management functional entity;
and the session management function entity disassociates from the source unified data management function entity.
The following is described for disassociating the unified data management function entity accessed before the update:
and after determining that the unified data management functional entity is changed, the access and mobility management functional/session management functional entity releases the association with the unified data management functional entity accessed before updating. In implementation, the unified data management function entity accessed before updating is disassociated through a specific de-registration process or a de-subscription process.
The following description is made for the target unified data management functional entity accessed after the association update:
and after determining that the unified data management functional entity is changed, the access and mobility management functional/session management functional entity is associated with the target unified data management functional entity accessed after updating. In implementation, the access and mobility management function/session management function is associated with the target unified data management function through a specific registration flow or a specific subscription flow, and if the access and mobility management function/session management function already has context information related to the user equipment, the association with the target unified data management function may not require to reacquire subscription data of the user equipment from the unified data management function, and may only need to update the binding between the access and mobility management function/session management function and the target unified data management function to complete the subscription to the target unified data management function.
The user route updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention is suitable for updating the user route in the registration process of the user equipment, and is also suitable for updating the user route after the registration of the user equipment is finished, and the following description is respectively combined with different processes.

Step 409, the access and mobility management functional entity informs the session management functional entity of the route update;
it should be noted here that after a session has been established for a user equipment, the session management function entity needs to be notified of a routing update; specifically, the access and mobility management functional entity invokes an SM context update service of the associated session management functional entity to notify the session management functional entity of the route update according to the context of the user equipment.
Step 410, the session management function entity selects a second unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment; if the information of the second unified data management function is included in step 408, the session management function may directly use the second unified data management function without performing the selection process again.
The second unified data management function entity is different from the first unified data management function entity.
Step 411, the session management function entity disassociates from the first unified data management function entity.
Step 412, the session management function entity is associated to the second unified data management function entity.
And secondly, the first information comprises updated routing information.
After the user equipment route is updated, the core network internally adopts the updated route information to carry out the route; for example, the access and mobility management functional entity selects an accessed unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information, and the session management functional entity selects an accessed unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information;
optionally, in the registration process of the user equipment, after the authentication is completed, the access and mobility management functional entity receives the routing information corresponding to the user equipment sent by the authentication service functional entity; and the access and mobility management functional entity stores the routing information sent by the authentication service functional entity and selects an accessed unified data management functional entity according to the routing information sent by the authentication service functional entity.
After the access and mobility management functional entity is associated to the selected unified data management functional entity, the access and mobility management functional entity sends the stored routing information to the session management functional entity;
and the session management functional entity stores the received routing information and selects an accessed unified data management functional entity according to the received routing information.
That is to say, in the registration process of the user equipment, the embodiment of the present invention also performs routing in the core network according to the routing information.
After determining that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the source unified data management functional entity sends first information representing the routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management functional entity; for example, an operator needs to move a user database of a user device;
wherein, the first information comprises updated routing information;
optionally, the first information further includes an indication indicating a routing update of the user equipment.
Correspondingly, after receiving the first information, the access and mobility management functional entity selects the target unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information in the first information.
After determining a target unified data management functional entity, an access and mobility management functional entity is associated to the target unified data management functional entity;
and the access and mobility management functional entity disassociates from the source unified data management functional entity.
In addition, after determining that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the source unified data management functional entity also needs to trigger the routing update of the session management functional entity;
the session management functional entity determines the routing update of the user equipment according to the following modes:
in the mode 1, after receiving second information which is sent by the source unified data management functional entity and represents the routing update of the user equipment, the session management functional entity determines the routing update of the user equipment.
Optionally, after determining to trigger the routing update of the user equipment, the source unified data management functional entity sends second information indicating the routing update of the user equipment to the session management functional entity;
wherein, the second information comprises updated routing information; or the second information comprises updated routing information and an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment.
Correspondingly, after receiving the second information sent by the source unified data management function entity, the session management function entity determines a target unified data management function entity to which the user equipment is accessed after the routing is updated.
Optionally, the session management functional entity determines the target unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information.
It should be noted that the source unified data management functional entity sends the first information to the access and mobility management functional entity, and the sequence is not distinguished from the sequence from the source unified data management functional entity to the session management functional entity.
It should be noted that the second information may also include an indication indicating a routing update of the user equipment.
And in the mode 2, the session management functional entity receives third information which is sent by the access and mobility management functional entity and represents the routing update of the user equipment.
Specifically, after receiving first information which is sent by a source unified data management functional entity and represents the routing update of the user equipment, an access and mobility management functional entity sends third information which represents the routing update of the user equipment to a session management functional entity;
wherein, the third information comprises updated routing information; or, the third information includes updated routing information and an indication indicating the routing update of the user equipment.
Correspondingly, after receiving the second information sent by the source unified data management functional entity, the session management functional entity determines a target unified data management functional entity to which the user equipment is accessed after the route is updated.
Optionally, the session management functional entity determines the target unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information.
It should be noted that the second information may also include an indication indicating a routing update of the ue or information related to the unified data management function. If the unified data management function related information is included in the second information, the session management function entity may determine a target unified data management function entity according to the unified data management function related information. If the indication of the user equipment route update is contained in the second information and indicates that the user equipment route update occurs, the session management function triggers the process of determining the target unified data management function entity, otherwise, the process is not needed.
After determining a target unified data management functional entity, a session management functional entity of the embodiment of the invention is associated with the target unified data management functional entity;
and the session management function entity disassociates from the source unified data management function entity.
The user route updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention is suitable for updating the user route in the registration process of the user equipment, and is also suitable for updating the user route after the registration of the user equipment is finished, and the following description is respectively combined with different processes.

Assume that the unified data management function entity selected by the authentication service function entity is a first unified data management function, and the unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment after the update is a second unified data management function.
Step 501, user equipment initiates an initial registration request; wherein, the user identifier carried in the initial registration request is SUCI.
Step 502, the access and mobility management functional entity selects a proper authentication service functional entity according to the PLMN (Public land mobile Network) and the routing information in the SUCI.
Step 503, the network side authenticates the user, in the authentication and authorization process, the authentication service functional entity selects a proper unified data management functional entity according to the PLMN and the routing information in the SUCI, and after the authentication process is completed, the authentication service functional entity returns the SUPI information and the routing information of the user to the access and mobility management functional entity. The access and mobility management functions establish a 5GMM context for the UE indexed by SUPI.
Step 504, the access and mobility management functional entity selects a first uniform data management functional entity according to the routing information, completes operations such as user registration, user subscription acquisition of signed data and the like with the first uniform data management functional entity, and records the routing information in the 5GMM context of the user equipment; the first uniform data management functional entity determines that the route of the user equipment needs to be updated, and sends a route change notification to the access and mobility management functional entity;
step 505, the access and mobility management functional entity allocates 5G-GUTI to the UE and stores the relevant information in the 5GMM context of the UE, and sends a registration accept message containing the 5G-GUTI and the route change notification to the UE, thereby completing the registration process.
Step 506, the user equipment sends a response message for updating the route to the access and mobility management function entity.
Step 507, the access and mobility management functional entity forwards the response message of updating the route to the access and mobility management functional entity.
Step 508, the first unified data management functional entity sends first information indicating routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management functional entity;
wherein, the first message comprises updated routing information; or the first message comprises updated routing information and an indication representing a routing update of the user equipment.
Step 509, the access and mobility management function entity returns a response message to the first unified data management function.
Step 510, comparing the recorded routing information with the updated routing information by the access and mobility management functional entity, and determining a second unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information; and updating the routing information recorded in the context of the user equipment.
Step 511, the access and mobility management function entity is associated to a second unified data management function entity.
Step 512, the access and mobility management functional entity disassociates from the first unified data management functional entity.

601, the first unified data management function entity sends a route change notification to the access and mobility management function entity;
after determining the unified data management functional entity which needs to update the user equipment access, the first unified data management functional entity sends the route change notification to the access and mobility management functional entity; for example, the operator needs to move the subscriber database of the subscriber device.
Step 602, the access and mobility management functional entity forwards the route change notification to the user equipment;
specifically, the access and mobility management functional entity forwards the route change notification to the user equipment in a NAS transport message manner.
Step 603, the user equipment returns a response message to the access and mobility management functional entity;
when the access and mobility management functional entity forwards the route change notification to the user equipment in an NAS transport message mode, the user equipment returns a response to the access and mobility management functional entity through the NAS transport.
Step 604, the access and mobility management functional entity forwards the response message returned by the user equipment to the first unified data management functional entity.
Step 605, the first unified data management function entity sends first information indicating the routing update of the user equipment to the access and mobility management function entity;
wherein, the first message comprises updated routing information; or the first message comprises updated routing information and an indication representing a routing update of the user equipment.
Step 606, the access and mobility management function entity returns a response message to the first unified data management function.
Step 607, the access and mobility management functional entity compares the recorded routing information with the updated routing information, and determines a second unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information; and updating the routing information recorded in the context of the user equipment.
Step 608, the access and mobility management function entity is associated to a second unified data management function entity.
Step 609, the access and mobility management functional entity disassociates from the first unified data management functional entity.
Step 610, the first unified data management function entity sends second information indicating the routing update of the user equipment to the session management function entity;
wherein, the second message comprises updated routing information; or the second message includes the updated routing information and an indication indicating a routing update for the user equipment.

Step 612, the session management functional entity compares that the recorded routing information is different from the updated routing information, and determines a second unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information; and updating the routing information recorded in the context of the user equipment.
Step 613, the session management function entity disassociates from the first unified data management function entity.
And step 614, the session management functional entity is associated to a second unified data management functional entity.
It should be noted that, the sequence of steps 610 to 614 and steps 605 to 609 is not distinguished.
The following steps are provided as an alternative to steps 610 through 614.
Step 615, the access and mobility management functional entity sends third information indicating the routing update of the user equipment to the session management functional entity;
wherein, the third message comprises updated routing information; or the third message comprises the updated routing information and an indication representing the routing update of the user equipment.
Step 616, the session management functional entity compares the recorded routing information with the updated routing information to be different, and determines a second unified data management functional entity according to the updated routing information; and updating the routing information recorded in the context of the user equipment.
Step 617, the session management function entity is associated to a second unified data management function entity.
Step 618, the session management function entity disassociates from the first unified data management function entity.
It should be noted that the embodiment of fig. 4 also uses a method of routing within the core network by using a route. That is, when the first unified data management functional entity sends a route change notification to the user equipment, the access and mobility management functional entity can acquire the content in the route change notification, and then the access and mobility management functional entity records the route update; the access and mobility management functional entity determines that the processing of the target unified data management functional entity, i.e. the second unified data management functional entity, may be triggered when the access and mobility management functional entity receives a route update response returned by the user equipment. As shown in fig. 16, a system for determining a user routing update according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a target access and mobility management function entity 160, a source access and mobility management function entity 161 and a session management function entity 162.
The source access and mobility management functional entity is an access and mobility management functional entity which is accessed before the user equipment generates cross-access and mobility management functional entity movement, and the target access and mobility management functional entity is an access and mobility management functional entity which is accessed after the user equipment generates cross-access and mobility management functional entity movement.
A target access and mobility management functional entity 160, configured to obtain, after selecting an accessed target unified data management functional entity, relevant information of a source unified data management function included in context information of the user equipment from a source access and mobility management functional entity; and determining that the unified data management function accessed by the user equipment changes according to the relevant information of the source unified data management function and the target unified data management function entity.
A source access and mobility management function entity 161, configured to send context information of the user equipment including information related to the source UDM to the target AMF entity;
optionally, the source access and mobility management functional entity 161 may further receive a notification that a unified data management functional entity that indicates the user equipment access changes, where the notification is sent by the target access and mobility management functional entity; if the source AMF does not delete the context information of the user equipment, the source AMF releases the association with the source unified data management function according to the related information of the source unified data management function; and the notification is sent after the target access and mobility management functional entity determines that the unified data management function accessed by the user equipment is changed according to the related information of the source unified data management function and the target unified data management functional entity selected to be accessed.
The session management functional entity 162 is configured to receive fourth information, which is sent by the target access and mobility management functional entity and indicates that a unified data management function for user equipment access changes; determining a target unified data management function entity accessed by the user equipment after the unified data management function entity is changed according to the fourth information; and the fourth information is sent after the target access and mobility management functional entity determines that the unified data management function accessed by the user equipment is changed according to the relevant information of the source unified data management function and the target unified data management functional entity selected to be accessed.
It should be noted that, if session management function reallocation occurs, the target session management function may obtain context information of the user equipment including relevant information of the source unified data management function entity from the source session management function entity, and determine that the unified data management function changes by comparing the selected target unified data management function entity with the obtained source unified data management function entity.
After the user equipment moves across the access and mobility management functional entity, the user equipment initiates a registration request to access a target access and mobility management functional entity; and the target access and mobility management functional entity selects a target unified data management functional entity to be accessed according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
The process of selecting the target access and mobility management function entity by the user equipment may adopt a method in the prior art, and details are not described herein again.
In the process of initiating initial registration by user equipment, the context information of the user equipment stored by the access and mobility management functional entity comprises the relevant information of a unified data management functional entity accessed by the user equipment;
wherein, the related information of the unified data management function entity includes but is not limited to:
the identification information of the unified data management function entity may be a unified data management function ID and/or a unified data management function IP address.
After selecting the target access and mobility management functional entity, the target access and mobility management functional entity acquires context information of the user equipment from the source access and mobility management functional entity, and judges whether the unified data management function changes according to relevant information of the source unified data management function contained in the acquired context information of the user equipment and the selected target unified data management functional entity;
it should be noted here that the information related to the source uniform data management function, which is included in the context information of the user equipment acquired from the source access and mobility management functional entity, is a source uniform data management functional entity that the user equipment accesses before the user equipment moves across the access and mobility management functional entities, and is also a source uniform data management functional entity that the user equipment accesses before the user equipment performs route update.
The target access and mobility management functional entity determines that the source unified data management functional entity is different from the target unified data management functional entity according to the relevant information of the source unified data management function contained in the context information of the user equipment, and determines that the unified data management functional entity changes;
in implementation, after determining that the unified data management function entity changes, the target access and mobility management function entity may notify the source access and mobility management function entity that the unified data management function accessed by the user equipment changes;
specifically, the target access and mobility management functional entity notifies the source access and mobility management functional entity in the following manner:
and the target access and mobility management functional entity sends a notice containing the related information of the target unified data management functional entity and/or an indication representing the change of the unified data management functional entity to the source access and mobility management functional entity.
Correspondingly, after the source access and mobility management functional entity receives the change of the unified data management function accessed by the user equipment notified by the target access and mobility management functional entity, the source access and mobility management functional entity releases the association with the source unified data management function according to the related information of the source unified data management function.
Optionally, after determining that the unified data management functional entity changes, the target access and mobility management functional entity disassociates from the source unified data management functional entity;
and associating the target unified data management functional entity, and recording the related information of the target unified data management functional entity into the context information of the user equipment.
In addition, after the target access and mobility management functional entity determines that the unified data management functional entity changes, the session management functional entity also needs to be triggered to update the route;
optionally, the target access and mobility management functional entity sends, to the session management functional entity, fourth information indicating that a unified data management function accessed by the user equipment is changed;
and after receiving the fourth information, the session management functional entity determines a target unified data management functional entity accessed by the user equipment after the unified data management functional entity changes.
The target access and mobility management functional entity sends the fourth information to the session management functional entity in the following way:
and the target access and mobility management functional entity sends fourth information containing the related information of the unified data management functional entity and/or an indication representing the change of the unified data management functional entity to the session management functional entity.
The session management functional entity receiving the fourth information may determine the target unified data management functional entity according to the following manner:
1. the fourth information comprises the related information of the unified data management functional entity.
And after receiving fourth information containing the related information of the unified data management functional entity, the session management functional entity selects a target unified data management functional entity according to the related information of the unified data management functional entity in the fourth information.
2. The fourth information includes an indication indicating that the unified data management function entity has changed.
And after receiving fourth information containing an instruction indicating that the unified data management function entity is changed, the session management function entity selects a target unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
It should be noted that, after determining that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the configuration parameters of the user equipment are modified through the background, assuming that the user equipment is accessed to the first unified data management functional entity before the routing update, and after determining that the routing update of the user equipment needs to be triggered, the unified data management functional entity accessed by the user equipment is modified to the second unified data management function; then, after receiving the fourth information including the indication indicating that the unified data management function entity is changed, the session management function entity selects the unified data management function entity as the second unified data management function entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
3. The fourth information includes information related to the unified data management function entity and an indication indicating that the unified data management function entity is changed.
After the session management functional entity receives the fourth message including the information related to the unified data management functional entity and the indication indicating that the unified data management functional entity is changed, the session management functional entity may select the target unified data management functional entity according to the information related to the unified data management functional entity, or the session management functional entity may select the target unified data management functional entity according to the SUPI of the user equipment.
And under the condition that the fourth information is not received, if the session management function reallocating occurs, the target session management function entity acquires the context information of the user equipment containing the relevant information of the source unified data management function from the source session management function entity, and determines that the unified data management function entity changes by comparing the selected target unified data management function entity with the acquired source unified data management function entity.
After determining a target unified data management functional entity, a session management functional entity of the embodiment of the invention is associated with the target unified data management functional entity; and the session management function entity disassociates from the source unified data management function entity.
In addition, the session management function entity updates the unified data management function related information in the context of the user equipment to the related information of the target unified data management function entity.
The method for updating the user route provided by the embodiment of the invention is suitable for updating the user equipment route in the registration process of the user equipment, and is also suitable for updating the user equipment route after the registration of the user equipment is finished, and the method is respectively explained by combining different processes.
The following description will take the ue route update in the ue registration process as an example.
With reference to fig. 17, a flow of user route update according to an embodiment of the present invention is described.
The method comprises the steps of assuming that an access and mobility management functional entity initially accessed by user equipment is a first access and mobility management functional entity, an accessed unified data management functional entity is a first unified data management functional entity, the accessed access and mobility management functional entity after moving is a second access and mobility management functional entity, and the accessed unified data management functional entity is a second unified data management functional entity.
Step 1701, the user equipment initiates an initial registration request; wherein, the user identifier carried in the initial registration request is SUCI.
Step 1702, the first access and mobility management function entity selects a suitable authentication service function entity according to a PLMN (public land Mobile Network) in the suici and the routing information.
Step 1703, the network side authenticates the user, in the authentication and authorization process, the authentication service functional entity selects a proper unified data management functional entity according to the PLMN and routing information in the SUCI, and after the authentication process is completed, the authentication service functional entity returns the SUPI information of the user to the access and mobility management functional entity. The first access and mobility management function establishes a 5GMM context for the UE indexed by SUPI.
Step 1704, the first access and mobility management function entity selects a first unified data management function entity to be accessed according to the SUPI of the user equipment, and records relevant information of the first unified data management function entity in the 5GMM context of the user equipment.
Step 1705, the first access and mobility management functional entity and the first unified data management functional entity complete operations such as user registration, obtaining subscription data and performing user subscription.
Step 1706, the first access and mobility management functional entity generates a registration accept message to the user equipment.
Step 1707, the user equipment sends a response message to the first access and mobility management function entity.
Step 1708, the first access and mobility management functional entity forwards the response message to the access and mobility management functional entity.
Step 1709, the ue sends a registration request to the second access and mobility management functional entity during the mobility procedure; wherein, the user identifier carried in the initial registration request is SUCI.
And step 1710, the second access and mobility management functional entity performs unified data management function selection.
Step 1711, the second access and mobility management functional entity obtains the relevant information of the first unified data management functional entity contained in the context information of the user equipment from the first access and mobility management functional entity, and determines that the unified data management functional entity changes according to the relevant information of the first unified data management functional entity and the selected second unified data management functional entity.
Step 1712, the first access and mobility management functional entity disassociates from the first unified data management functional entity;
it should be noted that, if the first access and mobility management functional entity needs to retain the context information of the user equipment, the first access and mobility management functional entity needs to disassociate from the first unified data management functional entity and associate to the second unified data management functional entity. And if the first access and mobility management functional entity does not need to reserve the context information of the user equipment, deleting the context information of the user equipment and registering to the first unified data management function.
Step 1713, the second access and mobility management function entity is associated to a second unified data management function entity.
Step 1714, the second access and mobility management functional entity determines the associated session management functional entity according to the 5GMM context information of the user equipment, and sends fourth information indicating that the unified data management functional entity accessed by the user equipment is changed to the session management functional entity.
Step 1715, after the session management functional entity determines that the unified data management functional change occurs, the session management functional entity releases the association with the first unified data management functional entity.
Step 1716, the session management function entity is associated to the second unified data management function entity, and the unified data management function related information in the context of the user equipment is updated to the related information of the second unified data management function entity.
It should be noted that, in the case that the fourth information is not received, if the session management function reallocation occurs, the session management function entity may obtain, from the source session management function, context information of the user equipment that includes the relevant information of the source unified data management function entity, and determine that the unified data management function changes by comparing the selected target unified data management function with the obtained source unified data management function.
It should be noted that, if the ue route update occurs due to the ue moving across the access and mobility management functional entities after the ue registration is completed, the ue route update may be performed through steps 1709 to 1716 in the above flow.
