Abstract
The invention provides a curved surface backlight module and a display device thereof. The curved surface backlight module comprises a frame, a light source and a light guide plate. The frame comprises a back plate and a frame body arranged around the back plate. The back plate is provided with a bottom and at least one side wall connected to the bottom, the bottom is provided with a radian corresponding to the radian of the side wall, the side wall is provided with a top edge, a bottom edge relative to the top edge and a plurality of openings, and the diameter of each opening is reduced from the bottom edge to the top edge. The frame body is provided with at least one outer side face corresponding to the side wall and a plurality of connecting structures arranged on the outer side face, and the connecting structures are correspondingly connected with the openings. Therefore, the back plate can generate different curvatures so as to be suitable for display panels with different curvatures.
Description
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to optical devices, and particularly to a curved backlight module and a display device thereof.
Background
With the technology changing day by day, various screens are widely used in daily life, such as Flat screen (Flat Display) and Curved screen (Curved Display). However, the curved screen has a wider viewing angle range and a wider viewing field than the flat screen, and is therefore often used to display a wide-angle image. Moreover, the curved screen has a coating effect, so that a user can have better visual immersion experience. The curved screen has curvature, so that reflection interference of external light sources on two sides can be avoided. In addition, because the curved screen has a curved structure and a curvature radius, when a user looks at the focal point of the curved screen, the visual angle of the user is equidistant from the display picture, and the burden of eyes can be reduced. Moreover, the mobile phone design is gradually developing towards narrow frame, ultra-thin and curved surface.
In order to be applied to screens with various curvatures and satisfy consumer expectations for curved screens, the design of the bezel needs to be improved.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a curved backlight module.
The curved surface backlight module comprises a frame, a light source arranged in the frame and a light guide plate arranged in the frame and facing the light source. The frame comprises a back plate and a frame body arranged around the back plate. The backboard is provided with a bottom and at least one side wall connected to the bottom, wherein the bottom is provided with a radian corresponding to the radian of the at least one side wall, the at least one side wall is provided with a top edge, a bottom edge relative to the top edge and a plurality of openings, the aperture of each opening is reduced from the bottom edge to the top edge, the frame body is provided with at least one outer side face corresponding to the at least one side wall and a plurality of connecting structures arranged on the at least one outer side face, and the connecting structures are correspondingly connected with the openings.
Another technical means of the present invention is that each opening tapers from the bottom edge to the top edge to form a frustoconical shape.
The present invention has another technical means that each opening has a large diameter part connected to the bottom side, a small diameter part connected to the top side and having a smaller diameter than the large diameter part, and a shoulder part connecting the large diameter part and the small diameter part.
The present invention has another technical means that the frame body is combined on the back plate in an insert molding manner, and the frame body covers the top edge of the at least one side wall of the back plate.
Another technical means of the present invention is that the at least one side wall has two side portions, a middle portion located between the two side portions, and a plurality of first positioning holes, the opening is disposed in the middle portion, the first positioning holes are disposed in the two side portions, and the frame body further has a plurality of first positioning structures correspondingly connected to the first positioning holes.
The invention has another technical means that the at least one side wall is further provided with a plurality of second positioning holes, the second positioning holes are arranged in the middle part and positioned between the adjacent openings, and the frame body is further provided with a plurality of second positioning structures correspondingly connected with the second positioning holes.
The invention has another technical means that the arrangement density of the second positioning holes is greater than that of the first positioning holes.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a display device, which includes the aforementioned curved backlight module, a panel attachment, a plurality of optical films, and a display panel disposed on the curved backlight module. The optical film is overlapped on the light guide plate, and the panel attachment is attached to the optical film, the frame body and the display panel at the same time.
The invention has the beneficial effects that by means of the structural design of the back plate and the frame body of the frame, the back plate can generate different curvatures so as to be suitable for display panels with different curvatures.

Detailed Description
The features and technical content of the related applications of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments, which is to be read in connection with the accompanying drawings. Before proceeding with the detailed description, it should be noted that like components are denoted by the same reference numerals.
Referring to fig. 1, a preferred embodiment of a display device of the present invention includes a curved backlight module a, a panel attachment B, a plurality of optical films C, and a display panel D disposed on the curved backlight module a. The curved backlight module a includes a frame 2, a light source 3 disposed in the frame 2, and a light guide plate 4 disposed in the frame 2 and facing the light source 3.
The frame 2 includes a back plate 5, and a frame body 6 disposed around the back plate 5. The optical film C is stacked on the light guide plate 4, and the panel attachment B is attached to the optical film C, the frame body 6, and the display panel D. In the present embodiment, the back plate 5 is rectangular and has a bottom 51 and two sidewalls 52 connected to the bottom 51 and located on two opposite sides of the bottom 51, and the bottom 51 has a curvature corresponding to the curvature of the two sidewalls 52.
Referring to fig. 2 to 4, each sidewall 52 has a top side 521, a bottom side 522 opposite to the top side 521, two side portions 523, a middle portion 524 located between the two side portions 523, a plurality of openings 525 spaced apart from the middle portion 524, a plurality of first positioning holes 526 spaced apart from the two side portions 523, and a plurality of second positioning holes 527 spaced apart from the middle portion 524. The frame 6 covers the top edge 521 of the two sidewalls 52, the aperture of the opening 525 decreases from the bottom edge 522 to the top edge 521, and the second positioning hole 527 is disposed between the adjacent openings 525. Since the backplate 5 is made of metal and has high rigidity, the opening 525 formed in the middle portion 524 of the sidewall 52 is designed to have a jigsaw shape, which not only maintains the molding strength of the backplate 5, but also imparts flexibility to the middle portion 524 to allow a large bending width. The two side portions 523 have no puzzle-shaped openings, and have most of the structure of the back plate 5, and are bent to a small extent only by the first positioning holes 526 provided at intervals.
In addition, the design of the opening 525 can be changed to achieve the function of structural reinforcement and flexibility. Meanwhile, the frame body 6 is made of a plastic material and has a relatively large bending property, after the curvature of the back plate 5 is formed by punching, the back plate 5 and the frame body 6 are combined with each other in a mode of insert molding (insert molding) after being placed in a mold cavity (not shown), so that the assembly tolerance of the back plate 5 and the frame body 6 can be avoided, the thinning of the appearance can be effectively achieved, the problem of insufficient height space and the flexibility of curvature can be solved, and the curved surface backlight module a and the display panel D can be smoothly attached to each other.
It should be noted that, when the back plate 5 is formed by stamping, stress concentration is easily caused at the bent portion to cause material extrusion deformation, so the first positioning hole 526 and the second positioning hole 527 need to be arranged to release stress and improve extrusion deformation. Meanwhile, when the frame 6 is insert-molded, the first positioning hole 526 and the second positioning hole 527 may also serve as a joint with the frame 6 to reinforce the joint between the back plate 5 and the frame 6. The larger the bending degree is, the more likely the back plate 5 and the frame 6 are separated from each other, so the arrangement density of the second positioning holes 527 disposed in the middle portion 524 is greater than that of the first positioning holes 526, so as to enhance the combination degree of the back plate 5 and the frame 6. By changing the arrangement density of the first positioning holes 526 and the second positioning holes 527, the effect of adjusting the radian of each sidewall 52 by a small degree can also be provided.
Referring to fig. 3, the frame 6 has two outer side surfaces 61 (only one is shown in view angle) corresponding to the two side walls 52, a plurality of connecting structures 62 disposed on the two outer side surfaces 61, a plurality of first positioning structures 63, and a plurality of second positioning structures 64. The connecting structure 62 is correspondingly connected to the opening 525, the first positioning structure 63 is correspondingly connected to the first positioning hole 526, and the second positioning structure 64 is correspondingly connected to the second positioning hole 527. Wherein each opening 525 tapers from the bottom side 522 to the top side 521 to form a frustoconical shape. In particular, if the coupling shape of the back plate 5 and the frame 6 is not properly designed, the two are easily separated by an external force and thus a structural failure is generated. Therefore, each opening 525 is tapered from the bottom side 522 to the top side 521, so that the area between two adjacent openings 525 is a trapezoid with a wide top and a narrow bottom, and the frame 6 covers the top side 521 of the two sidewalls 52, thereby enhancing the bonding strength between the back plate 5 and the frame 6. It should be noted that, since the frame body 6 is combined on the back plate 5 by insert molding (insert molding), the back plate 5 and the frame body 6 are actually an integral structure, and fig. 3 is to show the detailed structure and combination manner of the two side walls 52 of the back plate 5 and the frame body 6, so as to separate the back plate 5 and the frame body 6. In order to clearly show the combination relationship between the back plate 5 and the frame 6, the area of the frame 6 is shown by the hatched portion in fig. 4.
As can be seen from the above structural design, the back plate 5 of the frame 2 of the curved backlight module a has the design that the side walls 52 thereof are formed with the openings 525, and the apertures of the openings 525 are reduced from the bottom side 522 to the top side 521, so that the left and right sides of the back plate 5 can be bent downward to form the above-mentioned curvature to generate the curved surface, and after the curvature of the back plate 5 is fixed, the frame 6 is insert molded (insert molding) to form the connecting structures 62, the first positioning structures 63, and the second positioning structures 64 of the frame 6 corresponding to the openings 525, the first positioning holes 526, and the second positioning holes 527 of each side wall 52, so as to be further coated and combined on the back plate 5, thereby fixing the curvature of the back plate 5.
It should be noted that each opening 525 may also have a large diameter portion 528 connected to the bottom side 522, a small diameter portion 529 connected to the top side 521 and having a smaller diameter than the large diameter portion 528, and a shoulder 530 connecting the large diameter portion 528 and the small diameter portion 529, as shown in fig. 5 to 7. Thereby providing another option, and in this aspect, each sidewall 52 is not provided with the second positioning hole 527 as shown in fig. 4, and the frame 6 is not provided with the second positioning structure 64. Similarly, in order to clearly show the combination relationship between the back plate 5 and the frame 6, the area of the frame 6 is shown by the hatched portion in fig. 7.
In summary, the present invention can achieve the effect of precisely adjusting the shape and curvature of the back plate 5 by the structural design of the back plate 5 and the frame body 6 of the frame 2, so that the back plate 5 can generate different curvatures to adapt to display panels D with different curvatures, thereby achieving the purpose of the present invention.
However, the above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and the scope of the present invention should not be limited thereby, and all the simple equivalent changes and modifications made according to the claims and the description of the present invention should be included in the scope of the claims of the present invention.

Claims (8)
1. A curved backlight module, comprising:
the frame comprises a back plate and a frame body arranged around the back plate, wherein the back plate is provided with a bottom and at least one side wall connected to the bottom, the bottom is provided with a radian corresponding to the radian of the at least one side wall, the at least one side wall is provided with a top edge, a bottom edge relative to the top edge, and a plurality of openings, the aperture of each opening is reduced from the bottom edge to the top edge, the frame body is provided with at least one outer side face corresponding to the at least one side wall, and a plurality of connecting structures arranged on the at least one outer side face, and the connecting structures are correspondingly connected with the openings;
a light source disposed in the frame; and
a light guide plate disposed in the frame and facing the light source.
2. The curved backlight module of claim 1, wherein each opening tapers from the bottom edge to the top edge to form a truncated cone shape.
3. The curved backlight module of claim 1, wherein each opening has a large diameter portion connected to the bottom side, a small diameter portion connected to the top side and having a smaller diameter than the large diameter portion, and a shoulder portion connecting the large diameter portion and the small diameter portion.
4. The curved backlight module of claim 1, wherein the frame is insert-molded to the back plate, and the frame covers a top edge of the at least one sidewall of the back plate.
5. The curved backlight module of claim 1, wherein the at least one sidewall has two side portions, a middle portion between the two side portions, and a plurality of first positioning holes, the opening is disposed in the middle portion, the first positioning holes are disposed in the two side portions, and the frame further has a plurality of first positioning structures correspondingly connected to the first positioning holes.
6. The curved backlight module of claim 5, wherein the at least one sidewall further has a plurality of second positioning holes disposed in the middle portion and between the adjacent openings, and the frame further has a plurality of second positioning structures correspondingly connected to the second positioning holes.
7. The curved backlight module of claim 6, wherein the second positioning holes are arranged at a density greater than the first positioning holes.
8. A display device, comprising the curved backlight module according to any one of claims 1 to 7, a panel attachment, a plurality of optical films, and a display panel disposed on the curved backlight module, wherein the optical films are stacked on the light guide plate, and the panel attachment is attached to the optical films, the frame body, and the display panel at the same time.
