Fig. 1 schematically illustrates an application scenario of a display method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. It should be noted that fig. 1 illustrates only an example of an application scenario in which the embodiments of the present disclosure may be applied to help those skilled in the art understand the technical content of the present disclosure, but it does not mean that the embodiments of the present disclosure may not be applied to other devices, systems, environments, or scenarios.
As shown in fig. 1, the second electronic device 120 is connected to the first electronic device 110 and the third electronic device 130, respectively, and signals interact between the three electronic devices to project the display content in the first electronic device 110 onto the display of the third electronic device 130.
For example, in some office scenarios, the display device may be connected to the expansion device at all times, and when a user's notebook computer is connected to the expansion device, the display content of the notebook computer may be projected onto the display device. According to the embodiment of the disclosure, the expansion device is a device for expanding the capability of the main device, for example, a display can be expanded to expand the display capability of the main device, and the expansion device can be connected with the display for a long time. The expansion device may be, for example, a hub or a converter. The hub may be a docking station having a processing chip independent of the motherboard, which may provide better performance than the hub.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the second electronic device 120 may continuously maintain the connection with the third electronic device 130, and when the second electronic device 120 is connected with the first electronic device 110, the first electronic device 110 may handshake with the third electronic device 130 through the second electronic device 120 to determine various information, such as resolution of the third electronic device 130, transmitted signal strength, and the like. After the handshake phase is finished, the first electronic device 110 sends the second content to be displayed to the third electronic device 130, and the third electronic device 130 performs necessary format conversion and the like on the second content, so that the second content can be normally displayed after finishing the handshake phase. To complete these processes, it typically takes 9-15 seconds to display the second content from the time the second electronic device 120 and the first electronic device 110 are connected to the third electronic device. In this period, the user who uses for the first time usually can question whether the connection is already correct, or whether the electronic device fails, and even can plug repeatedly, which wastes a lot of time and makes the user experience bad.
The embodiment of the disclosure provides a display method, which comprises the steps that a second electronic device responds to connection with a first electronic device, a target signal is sent to a third electronic device, the third electronic device is enabled to display first content, and the second electronic device responds to the fact that second display content is received from the first electronic device, the second content is sent to the third electronic device, and the third electronic device is enabled to stop displaying the first content so as to display the second content.
In the method, at least one of the second electronic device or the third electronic device can store the first content in advance, and the third electronic device can output the first content when the target signal is obtained, so that before the second content is displayed, the first content can be displayed only by transmitting one target signal, and the user can be prompted as soon as possible that the electronic device is working normally.
Fig. 2 schematically shows a flowchart of a display method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As shown in fig. 2, the method includes operations S210 and S220.
In operation S210, the second electronic device transmits a target signal to the third electronic device in response to establishing a connection with the first electronic device, causing the third electronic device to display the first content.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, the first content may be stored in the third electronic device or may be stored in the second electronic device.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, the first content may be static content, for example, one screen that is being connected is displayed, or the first content may be a plurality of screens that are transmitted at predetermined time intervals multiple times, to achieve a dynamic effect, for example, a plurality of pictures for showing progress.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, in the case that the first content is stored in the third electronic device, the second electronic device transmits the first signal to the third electronic device in response to establishing the connection with the first electronic device, and the third electronic device may display the first content pre-stored in the third electronic device after receiving the first signal. The method has the advantages that the data volume transmitted is small, the first content does not need to be stored at the second electronic equipment, and the first signal can be transmitted as soon as possible when the connection is detected.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, the target signal may be a first signal generated after the second electronic device detects that the connection is established with the first electronic device, the first signal is sent to the third electronic device, and the third electronic device may display the first content stored in the third electronic device after obtaining the first signal.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the first signal may also be a handshake signal sent to the third electronic device when forwarding the handshake signal between the first electronic device and the third electronic device, and in an embodiment of the present disclosure, the third electronic device may display the first content stored in the third electronic device after obtaining the handshake signal with the first electronic device.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, in the handshake stage, the first electronic device and the third electronic device are respectively subjected to signals of existence of each other, the third electronic device sends information such as the number, resolution, device ID and the like of the displays to the first electronic device, and the first electronic device negotiates with the third electronic device some parameters for display, such as working signal strength and the like. Among the above various signals, one signal transmitted from the second electronic device to the third electronic device may be determined as the first signal by configuration.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, in the case that the first content is stored in the second electronic device, the second electronic device sends the first content to the third electronic device in response to establishing a connection with the first electronic device, so that the third electronic device displays the first content. In the embodiment of the disclosure, a separate sending module may be provided in the second electronic device, and after detecting that a connection is established with the first electronic device, the sending module may be controlled to send the first content stored in the second electronic device, and the third electronic device obtains and outputs the first content. According to the embodiment of the disclosure, in the case that the second electronic device and the third electronic device remain connected, since the second electronic device and the third electronic device are already recognized from each other, the first content can be transmitted to the third electronic device when the first electronic device is detected to be accessed. After sending the first content to the third electronic device, the second electronic device also needs to transfer handshake signals between the first electronic device and the third electronic device. The method does not need to change the third electronic equipment, and has good universality.
In operation S220, the second electronic device transmits the second content to the third electronic device in response to receiving the second display content from the first electronic device, and causes the third electronic device to stop displaying the first content so as to display the second content.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the second content may be, for example, a video signal transmitted through an interface of VGA, DVI, HDMI or the like, and the second content may be, for example, an interface of an operating system, a video screen, or the like. The third electronic device may parse the video signal to obtain second content to be displayed, and display the second content on the display.
According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, after sending the second content to the third electronic device, the third electronic device needs to convert the second content from the first format to the second format, and this process may take 3 to 5 seconds, and the time consumed by the handshake phase described above amounts to about 9 to 15 seconds. During this time, the third device is able to display the first content, which may improve the user experience.
According to embodiments of the present disclosure, different communication protocols may be used to distinguish between different signals. For example, the target signal may be transmitted using a first protocol and the second content may be transmitted using a second protocol. Thus, the third electronic device can distinguish whether the target signal or the second content is received according to the communication protocol. Alternatively, the target signal and the second content may be transmitted via different data channels. The third electronic device may determine whether the target signal or the second content is received based on a data channel of the received signal.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the first content is displayed in a first manner and the second content is displayed in a second manner, wherein the first manner and the second manner display satisfy the following requirements: if the content is displayed in both the first and second modes, the content displayed in the first mode affects the content displayed in the second mode.
According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the first content and the second content are not displayed at the same time, but the first mode and the second mode may be displayed at the same time. For example, third content displayed in the first manner described below may be displayed simultaneously with second content displayed in the second manner.
For example, the content displayed in the first manner may be displayed overlaid on the content displayed in the second manner. When the content displayed in the first mode occupies the area of the screen as the area of the entire screen, only the content displayed in the first mode is displayed and the content displayed in the second mode is not displayed. When the screen area occupied by the content displayed in the first manner is smaller than the screen area occupied by the content displayed in the second manner, the content displayed in the first manner may be displayed in a certain area while the content displayed in the second manner is displayed in other areas using the content displayed in the first manner to partially cover the content displayed in the second manner.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, the third electronic device can display third content in the first mode, wherein the third content comprises content for indicating display parameters of the third electronic device. For example, a separate control button may be provided on the display of the third electronic device for adjusting display parameters, such as brightness, contrast, etc. Third content of the interface for adjusting the display parameter may be displayed in the first manner. The first mode may be an OSD display mode, and the second mode may be a display mode for displaying content.
The method of the embodiment of the disclosure can display the first content in advance before the second content can be displayed normally, so as to prompt the user that the electronic equipment is in a normal state and improve user experience.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, after the target signal is sent to the third electronic device, if the second content from the first electronic device is not received within a preset time, the third electronic device is controlled to stop displaying the first content. After the third electronic device displays the first content for a period of time, if the second content is not received beyond the preset time, the abnormality is considered to occur, and the first content is not displayed any more, so that the user can know the abnormality, and the user can conveniently conduct corresponding processing.
Based on the same concept, the present disclosure further provides a display device, and a display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is described below with reference to fig. 3.
