in the drawings, like parts are provided with like reference numerals. The figures are not drawn to scale.
Detailed Description
The invention will be further explained with reference to the drawings.
Fig. 1 shows a releasing device 100 according to the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the releasing device 100 comprises an upper joint 1, a lower joint 2 and a tooth joint assembly. Wherein, the upper joint 1 is in a cylinder shape, and the upper end is used for being connected with a drill rod. The lower joint 2 is partially sleeved at the lower end of the upper joint 1 and is of a cylindrical structure, and the lower end of the lower joint is connected with a drill rod. The toothing assembly is arranged between the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 and is circumferentially arranged to define a relative circumferential movement therebetween. In the first operating condition, the lower coupling 2 is fixedly connected to the upper coupling 1, and at this time, the toothing assembly functions to enable the releasing device 100 to transmit a large torque without affecting the drilling construction operation. In the second operating condition, the lower sub 2 is axially separated from the upper sub 1 and the ratcheting assembly function is disabled, at which point the upper sub 1 can be lifted out of the wellbore while the lower sub 2 remains in the wellbore as part of the completion string. The structure enables the releasing device 100 to transmit large torque in the process of drilling, ensures the smooth implementation of drilling operation, can realize releasing operation, and provides equipment support for the integrated process of drilling and well completion.
In one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the toothing assembly has a plurality of first teeth 11 and a plurality of second teeth 21. Wherein, a plurality of first teeth 11 are arranged on the outer wall of the upper joint 1 at intervals in the circumferential direction. And a plurality of second teeth 21 are circumferentially spaced on the inner wall of the lower joint 2. After the lower end of the upper joint 1 extends and is sleeved in the inner cavity of the lower joint 2, the first tooth 11 and the second tooth 21 can be engaged in a concave-convex matching manner. This cooperation limits the circumferential movement of the lower joint 2 and the upper joint 1, i.e. the lower joint 2 will follow the rotation of the upper joint 1 during drilling. The radial cross-sectional shape of the first tooth 11 may be triangular or trapezoidal. Preferably, the ratio of the tooth height dimension of each first tooth 11 to the dimension of the corresponding tooth base is 0.3-1, for example 0.5. Correspondingly, the tooth shape and the outer dimensions of the second tooth 21 match those of the first tooth 11. The arrangement can ensure the tooth joint strength between the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2, thereby ensuring that the releasing device 100 can transmit huge drilling torque.
In one embodiment, the lower end of the upper connector 1 is inserted into the inner cavity of the lower connector 2 and extends downward. A locking assembly is provided between the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 for securing the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 during drilling and releasing the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 during the need of releasing so that the upper joint 1 can move relative to the lower joint 2.
The locking assembly comprises a locking block 3, a support sleeve 4, a shear pin 5 and an inner sleeve 6. Wherein the locking block 3 penetrates radially through the wall of the upper joint 1, partly fitting into a groove 22 provided on the inner wall of the lower joint 2. The locking block 3 plays a role of fixing the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2, and meanwhile, the arrangement is beneficial to transmission of drilling torque to ensure the working safety of the releasing device 100. In order to ensure the fixation of the locking block 3, a support sleeve 4 is sleeved in the inner cavity of the upper joint 1 for limiting the radial displacement of the locking block 3, thereby ensuring the stable fixation position of the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2. The inner sleeve 6 is disposed between the support sleeve 4 and the upper joint 1. A first step surface 12 is provided on the inner wall of the upper joint 1. The inner sleeve 6 is sleeved in the inner cavity of the upper joint 1, the lower end face of the inner sleeve abuts against the first step face 12, and the upper end face of the inner sleeve is abutted by the upper drill rod joint and is axially fixed. The shear pin 5 connects the inner sleeve 6 and the support sleeve 4 to define the position of the support sleeve 4 relative to the upper joint 1. The structure is simple and easy to install. Before releasing the hand, the position of the locking block 3 is defined by the interaction of the inner sleeve 6, the support sleeve 4 and the shear pin 5, thereby ensuring a fixed connection of the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2. Under the action of external force, the shear pin 5 can be sheared so that the support sleeve 4 moves downwards. At this time, the locking piece 3 is unlocked, and when the upper joint 1 is lifted, the locking piece 3 can move radially inward, releasing the fixation of the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2. And the upper joint 1 is continuously lifted, so that the upper joint 1 is separated from the lower joint 2, and the releasing operation is realized.
The shear pin 5 may be actuated to shear by hydraulic means. Specifically, a ball seat 7 is provided on an inner wall of the support sleeve 4. Preferably, the ball seat 7 may be configured as an arc-shaped concave surface provided between the inner wall and the upper end surface of the support sleeve 4. During the release, ball 200 is thrown from the surface into the drill pipe and ball 200 engages ball seat 7 during the fall, thereby sealing off the inner cavity of release device 100. At this point, pressure may be applied from the wellhead, increasing the pressure to eventually shear the shear pin 5. Thereafter, the support sleeve 4 and the ball 200 move down due to the loss of the confinement, thereby releasing the confinement of the lock block 3.
Preferably, an elastic member (not shown in the figures) is provided between the locking block 3 and the bottom wall of the groove 22. The elastic member may be a spring. The resilient member may be fixedly arranged on the outside of the locking block 3. After the locking block 3 is mounted, radial pressure is applied to the locking block 3 by the support sleeve 4, whereby the elastic member is compressed. After the support sleeve 4 moves downwards, the radial limitation of the locking block 3 is released, and under the action of the elastic force of the elastic piece, the locking block 3 drives the elastic piece to move inwards in the radial direction, so that the locking state of the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 can be smoothly released.
Preferably, guide slopes 31 are provided between the upper end surface and the outer wall surface and between the lower end surface and the outer wall surface of the lock block 3. The guide slope 31 helps the locking piece 3 to be smoothly released from the groove 22, and the locked state of the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 is released.
At the lower end of the lower joint 1 a receiving basket 8 is arranged, which receiving basket 8 is located in the inner cavity of the lower joint 2 for receiving the dropped support sleeve 4 and the ball 200. Structurally, the receiving basket 8 is cylindrical, and the inner cavity of the receiving basket is communicated with the upper joint 1. A radial projection 81 is provided on the inner wall of the lower end of the receiving basket 8 for limiting the further downward movement of the support sleeve 4. The outer wall of the receiving basket 8 is provided with a communication hole 82 which is communicated with the inside and the outside, and after the support sleeve 4 and the ball 300 are seated on the protruding platform 81, the inner cavity and the outer cavity of the releasing device 100 are communicated through the communication hole 82, so that the pressure relief is completed. The bearing basket 8 and the lower joint 1 can be of an integral structure or a split structure.
The device 100 is also provided with a seal 9 to ensure a seal between the respective connected parts. For example, a seal 9 is provided between the upper and lower couplings 1, 2 to ensure sealing of the inner cavity of the device 100 from the outside. Similarly, a seal 9 is also provided between the support sleeve 4 and the upper sub 1 to ensure the pressure holding effect of the inner cavity of the device 100 after the throw.
The application also relates to a drilling string (not shown in the figures) comprising a device 100 as described above, the upper and lower joints 1 and 2 of the device 100 being connected to drill pipes, respectively. The device 100 is a part of the drill pipe that can transmit torque during drilling. After drilling is complete, the release device 100 is operated to perform a release operation, leaving the lower sub 2 and other components below in the wellbore as part of the completion string. Thus, the releasing device 100 can help to meet the integrated process requirements of drilling and completion.
In this application, the "first operating state" refers to a state where the releasing device 100 is not released and the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 are fixedly connected, and the "second operating state" refers to a state where the releasing device 100 is released and the upper joint 1 and the lower joint 2 are released from the fixed connection.
In the present application, the orientation terms "upper" and "lower" are used with reference to the actual operating orientation of the releasing device 100.
The above is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, but the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and any person skilled in the art can easily make changes or variations within the technical scope of the present invention disclosed, and such changes or variations should be covered within the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present invention shall be subject to the protection scope of the claims.
