Abstract
The invention discloses a preparation method of guar gum solution, which comprises the following steps: 1) weighing a certain amount of guar gum (0.5-5 parts), ethylene glycol (5-50 parts) and pure water (100 parts); 2) adding a certain amount of guar gum into corresponding pure ethylene glycol, and stirring for 10min at the rotating speed of 100 r/min; 3) adding the mixture of guar gum and glycol into pure water, and stirring for 30min at the rotation speed of 100 r/min. The method can quickly prepare the guar gum glycol solution meeting the requirements, not only saves time, but also increases the preparation success rate from less than 10 percent to 100 percent.

Although guar gum has good water solubility and thickening property, guar gum often has the following defects of high ① water insoluble matter content, incapability of rapidly swelling and hydrating ②, slow dissolving speed, uncontrollable ③ viscosity, weak electrolyte resistance and shear resistance of ④, analysis is carried out according to the molecular structure of the guar gum due to the fact that guar gum molecules in a solid state generally exist in a curled spherical structure, mannose in a main chain, a large number of hydroxyl groups are basically wrapped in the molecule, so that the proper water solubility is not shown, but the water solubility is greatly reduced due to the hydrogen bond effect in the molecule.

Since guar gum is soluble in water and insoluble in ethylene glycol, the general procedure for preparing guar gum is to add guar gum to water and stir it to dissolve before adding ethylene glycol and stirring it. However, when the particle size of the guar gum is small, the guar gum is easy to form agglomeration when added into water, is difficult to completely dissolve after long-time stirring, and the viscosity is difficult to control due to uncertainty of stirring time.
