Since the 70 s of the 20 th century, the construction of foreign steel structures began to transform into the assembly. Besides the installation cost is saved, the assembled nodes have better quality assurance and deformation performance. On the aspect of force transmission characteristics, the assembled node is obviously different from the traditional node, and if the assembled node is reasonably utilized, the steel amount of the main body structure can be greatly saved. At present, the structural form of the assembled steel structure which is the key support development in China is determined, the assembled development of the space grid structure is also a necessary trend, and the research and development of the corresponding assembled node are particularly critical. Related research in China starts late, but the assembled nodes occupy an important position and represent the development direction of a grid structure.
Among common assembly type nodes of the existing grid structure, a German Mero KK node is widely applied in China, can adapt to any angle intersection of a rod piece, has low requirements on manufacturing and mounting precision, good appearance effect and low comprehensive cost, but has relatively weak bending moment transmission capacity; also, as the German Mero-4 node, the node is mainly used for a single-layer reticulated shell, the transmission capability of the axial force and the bending moment of the connecting surface is excellent, but the node is deficient in the aspects of adapting to the torsion, appearance coordination, cleaning and the like of a component, and the standardization of the component cannot be realized for a non-planar intersection node, which brings adverse effects on error control and cost control; the Chinese assembly type complex node has complex structure and difficult manufacture and installation, and although the CP node can be suitable for various cross sections, the appearance effect is poor, and the application is nearly absent in China.
Under the condition that polygonal steel pipes can be produced in batches by a factory without being welded and connected, the polygonal steel pipe and steel member assembling type connecting node is applied to a space grid structure, the problems of complex structure, difficulty in manufacturing and installation, poor bending moment transfer capacity and the like are avoided, non-planar intersection node standardization is achieved, and certain necessary and existing values are achieved.
