Description

Method and device for determining capability of terminal equipment
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for determining a capability of a terminal device.
Background
In future communication systems, an Unlicensed Band (Unlicensed Band) can be used as a supplement to a licensed Band (licensed Band) to help an operator to improve network capacity. Currently, New Radio (NR) -based unlicensed access targets use frequency bands of 5GHz, 37GHz, and 60 GHz. Since the unlicensed frequency band is shared by multiple technologies such as Wireless Fidelity (WiFi), radar, Long Term evolution licensed Assisted Access (LTE-LAA), and the like, in some countries or regions, the unlicensed frequency band must meet the specification when in use to ensure that all devices can fairly use the resource. Here, Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) is one of the specifications that must be met when using unlicensed bands.
LBT refers to that a transmitting end working in an unlicensed frequency band needs to perform Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) before transmitting a signal in an assigned channel (e.g., a certain frequency band range identified by a center frequency point + a frequency bandwidth), and after a preset time length, if no other device is found to transmit data in the channel, the assigned channel is considered to be available; if other equipment is found to transmit data on the channel, the CCA is performed again after avoiding randomly for a period of time. Before a sending end sends, if only one frequency band is used for CCA, when there is another device transmitting data in the frequency band, the sending end needs to randomly avoid for a period of time and then perform CCA again, which will increase the sending delay of the sending end. In addition, since the terminal device has high or low capability, the terminal device with high capability may support paging (paging) reception on multiple different frequency bands simultaneously, the terminal device with low capability may not support paging reception on multiple different frequency bands simultaneously, and the terminal device with high capability may also turn off the function of paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously in order to reduce power consumption, so that the base station may not perform CCA on multiple frequency bands for all terminal devices to reduce the transmission delay of the transmitting end. However, if CCA is performed on only one frequency band, the transmission delay of the transmitting end may be unnecessarily increased when the receiving end device is a terminal device that can support simultaneous page reception on a plurality of different frequency bands.

It should be noted that the communication systems shown in fig. 1 and 2 are only schematic diagrams of possible configurations of the communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto.
The first embodiment,
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for determining a capability of a terminal device, and specifically, referring to fig. 3, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device may include the following steps:
s31, the core network device sends indication information to each base station in the target base station set under the condition of paging trigger.
The indication information is used for indicating whether the target terminal equipment can simultaneously carry out paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands; the target base station set is a set formed by base stations corresponding to all TA in the TA list of the target terminal equipment.
Correspondingly, all base stations corresponding to TAs in the TA list of the target terminal device receive the indication information sent by the core network device.
It should be noted that a frequency band in the embodiment of the present invention refers to a frequency range (for example, a certain frequency band range identified by a center frequency point + a frequency bandwidth) in which a transmitting node performs CCA; the multiple frequency bands refer to N (N >1) frequency bands, which are N frequency ranges in which the transmitting node can perform CCA simultaneously and CCA results are independent of each other.
Optionally, the core network device may determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously through the report of the target terminal device.
That is, before step S31 (the core network device sends the indication information to each base station in the target base station set), the method provided in the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
and the core network equipment receives the capability reporting information sent by the target terminal equipment.
The capability reporting information is used for indicating whether the terminal equipment can simultaneously perform paging reception in a plurality of frequency bands.
Optionally, the capability reporting information includes at least one of first information, second information, and third information;
the first information is used to indicate whether the target terminal device supports paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time, the second information is used to indicate the number of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time, and the third information is used to indicate information of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time.
Of course, the core network device may also determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously through other manners, and in the embodiment of the present invention, the manner in which the core network device acquires whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously is not limited, so that it is determined that the core network device can determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously.
Correspondingly, when the core network device may determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously through the report of the target terminal device, the method performed by the target terminal device before the step S31 (the core network device sends the indication information to each base station in the target base station set) includes:
after entering a connected state, sending capability reporting information to core network equipment;
the capability reporting information comprises at least one of first information, second information and third information; the first information is used to indicate whether the target terminal device supports paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time, the second information is used to indicate the number of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time, and the third information is used to indicate information of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time.
Further optionally, the indication information includes: at least one of identification information, fourth information, fifth information, sixth information, and seventh information of the target terminal device;
the fourth information is used to indicate whether the target terminal device supports paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time, the fifth information is used to indicate whether a function of paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time by the target terminal device is turned on, the sixth information is used to indicate information of frequency bands at which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time, and the seventh information is used to indicate the number of frequency bands at which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time.
For example, the identification information of the target terminal device may be an Identification (ID) of the target terminal device.
Illustratively, the information of the frequency band may include information of frequency, width, etc. of the frequency band. For example: the information of the frequency band may be expressed as a center frequency point + a frequency bandwidth (bandwidth).
It should be noted that the indication information in the embodiment of the present invention may be carried on 1 or more bits, and whether the target terminal device with different coding regions carried on the bits carrying the indication information can perform paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time, for example: the indication information is carried on 1 bit, when the coding of the bit is 1, the indication target terminal device can perform paging reception in a plurality of frequency bands at the same time, and when the coding of the bit is 1, the indication target terminal device cannot perform paging reception in the plurality of frequency bands at the same time. In addition, in the embodiment of the present invention, whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time may also be distinguished by whether the target terminal device includes a predefined code carried on a designated bit, for example: when the code on the designated bit is the predefined code, indicating that the target terminal device can perform paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands at the same time, and when the code on the designated bit is not included or is not the predefined code, indicating that the target terminal device cannot perform paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands at the same time. In addition, in the embodiment of the present invention, whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time may also be indicated in an implicit manner, for example: a frequency range may be indicated, and when the bandwidth of the frequency range is greater than or equal to the frequency widths of the two frequency bands, it is indicated that the target terminal device is capable of performing paging reception in the multiple frequency bands at the same time, and the bandwidth of the frequency range is less than or equal to the frequency width of one frequency band, it is indicated that the target terminal device is not capable of performing paging reception in the multiple frequency bands at the same time. In the embodiment of the present invention, a method for indicating whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time is not limited, and the target base station may obtain whether the target terminal device can perform CCA on multiple frequency bands according to the indication information, that is, may be considered as indicating whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time.
Because the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, it is possible to avoid that a page transmitted by the base station on one of the multiple frequency bands is missed by the target terminal device, and therefore the base station may perform LBT on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, or the base station may perform CCA on multiple frequency bands simultaneously and perform paging transmission on a channel on which LBT succeeds or CCA succeeds.
It should be further noted that, in the case of paging trigger, the core network device also sends a paging message to each base station in the target base station set. The paging message sent by the core network device to each base station in the target base station set may be encapsulated in the same information as the indication information in the above embodiment, or may be sent separately, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
S32, each base station in the target base station set determines whether the target terminal equipment can simultaneously perform paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands according to the indication information.
Wherein the target number is the number of frequency bands for performing CCA simultaneously.
Further, after step S32 (each base station in the target base station set determines whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously according to the indication information), the method provided by the embodiment of the present invention may include the following steps:
and S33, determining the target number by each base station in the target base station set according to the indication information.
Specifically, in step S32, step S331 is executed if the indication information indicates that the target terminal device is capable of paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time, and step S332 is executed if the indication information indicates that the target terminal device is not capable of paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time.
S331 each base station in the target base station set determines the target number as an integer greater than or equal to 2.
That is, each base station in the target base station set determines that the number of frequency bands for CCA at the same time is multiple (greater than or equal to 2).
S332, each base station in the target base station set determines the target number to be 1.
That is, each base station in the target set of base stations determines that CCA can be performed on only one frequency band at a time.
And S34, performing CCA on the target number of frequency bands by each base station in the target base station set.
Specifically, when each base station in the target base station set determines that the target number is an integer greater than or equal to 2, each base station in the target base station set performs CCA on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, and when each base station in the target base station set determines that the target number is 1, each base station in the target base station set performs CCA on only one frequency band.
Optionally, when the indication information includes the sixth information and the seventh information, in step S33, performing CCA on a target number of frequency bands simultaneously by each base station in the target base station set, including:
performing CCA on n designated frequency bands simultaneously;
wherein n is an integer less than or equal to the number of frequency bands supported by the target terminal device for simultaneous paging reception and greater than 1, and the designated frequency band belongs to the frequency band supported by the target terminal device for simultaneous paging reception.
That is, when the information indicating the frequency bands that the target terminal device supports simultaneous paging reception and the number of frequency bands that the target terminal device supports simultaneous paging reception may be indicated, the step S34 (each base station in the target base station set performs CCA on the target number of frequency bands at the same time) includes the following two possible implementations:
in the first implementation manner, each base station in the target base station set simultaneously performs CCA on X designated frequency bands, where X is smaller than the number of frequency bands that the target terminal device supports simultaneous paging reception. For example: the number of bands in which the target terminal device supports simultaneous paging reception is 6, but CCA is performed only on 3 designated bands.
In a second implementation manner, each base station in the target base station set simultaneously performs CCA on Y designated frequency bands, where Y is equal to the number of frequency bands that the target terminal device supports simultaneous paging reception. For example: the number of frequency bands supporting simultaneous paging reception by the target terminal device is 4, and CCA is performed on 4 designated frequency bands.
Further optionally, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device provided in the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
sending a paging message through a target frequency band under the condition that the number of the target frequency bands is 1;
under the condition that the number of target frequency bands is m, selecting one target frequency band from the m target frequency bands to send a paging message;
and m is an integer greater than 1, and the target frequency band is a frequency band which can be used after CCA is carried out.
That is, when it is determined that only one available frequency band is available after CCA is performed, the paging message is transmitted through the frequency band, and when it is determined that there are a plurality of available frequency bands after CCA is performed, one frequency band is selected from the plurality of available frequency bands to transmit the paging message.
Specifically, referring to fig. 3, after step S34, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device according to the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
s35, each base station in the target base station set sends paging information to the target terminal equipment.
In the method for determining the capability of the terminal equipment provided by the embodiment of the invention, under the condition of paging triggering, the core network equipment sends the indication information to the base stations corresponding to all TAs in the TA list of the target terminal equipment, since the indication information may indicate whether the target terminal device is capable of page reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, therefore, the base stations corresponding to all TAs in the TA list of the target terminal device can determine whether the target terminal device can simultaneously perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands according to the indication information, therefore, the base stations corresponding to all TAs in the TA list of the target terminal device can simultaneously perform idle channel estimation on a plurality of frequency bands when the target terminal device can simultaneously perform paging reception on the plurality of frequency bands, thereby reducing transmission delay, that is, the embodiment of the present invention may solve the problem that performing CCA only on one frequency band may increase transmission delay of a communication system.
Optionally, under the condition that the target terminal device supports paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously and the target terminal device supports the function of turning off paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device provided in the foregoing embodiment further includes:
and the core network equipment sends configuration information to the target terminal equipment, wherein the configuration information is used for configuring the function of paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands by the target terminal equipment to be in an open state.
Correspondingly, under the condition that the terminal device supports paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously and the terminal device supports the function of closing paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, after the target terminal device sends capability report information to the core network device, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device provided in the embodiment further includes:
the target terminal equipment receives configuration information sent by the core network equipment, wherein the configuration information is used for configuring a function of the target terminal equipment for paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands at the same time to be in an open state;
and enabling the function of simultaneously carrying out paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands to be in an open state according to the configuration information.
Specifically, the target terminal device in the embodiment of the present invention may perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, where the paging reception includes two aspects, one of which is: the target terminal device supports paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, and the second is: the function that the target terminal equipment simultaneously carries out paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands is in an opening state. If one or both of the above contents are not satisfied, the target terminal device cannot perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously.
In the foregoing embodiment, the core network device further sends, to the target terminal device, configuration information for configuring that the function of the target terminal device performing paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously is in an on state before sending the indication information to each base station in the target base station set, so that the above embodiment can ensure that the function of the target terminal device performing paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously is in an on state when the target terminal device supports performing paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, so that the base stations in the target base station set can perform CCA on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, and avoid an increase in transmission delay of the communication system due to the fact that CCA cannot be performed on multiple frequency bands.
Example II,
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for determining a capability of a terminal device, and specifically, referring to fig. 4, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device may include the following steps:
s41, the anchor base station sends indication information to each base station in the target base station set when the trigger is the paging trigger.
The indication information is used for indicating whether the target terminal equipment can simultaneously carry out paging reception on a plurality of frequency bands; the target base station set is a set formed by all other base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal equipment except the anchor base station.
Correspondingly, all other base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal device except the anchor base station receive the indication information sent by the anchor base station device.
The anchor base station (anchor base station) in the embodiment of the present invention refers to a base station that stores the context of the target terminal device.
Optionally, the anchor base station may determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously through the report of the target terminal device.
That is, before step S41 (the anchor base station sends the indication information to each base station in the target base station set), the method provided in the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
the anchor base station receives capability reporting information sent by the target terminal equipment, wherein the capability reporting information comprises at least one of first information, second information and third information;
the first information is used to indicate whether the target terminal device supports paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time, the second information is used to indicate the number of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time, and the third information is used to indicate information of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time.
Similarly, the anchor base station may also determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously through other manners, and the embodiment of the present invention does not limit the manner in which the anchor base station acquires whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously, so that the anchor base station can determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously.
Correspondingly, when the anchor base station can determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously through the report of the target terminal device, the method performed by the target terminal device before the step S41 (the anchor base station sends the indication information to each base station in the set of target base stations) includes:
after entering a connection state, sending capability reporting information to an anchor base station;
the capability reporting information comprises at least one of first information, second information and third information; the first information is used to indicate whether the target terminal device supports paging reception in multiple frequency bands at the same time, the second information is used to indicate the number of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time, and the third information is used to indicate information of frequency bands in which the target terminal device supports paging reception at the same time.
Further optionally, the indication information includes: at least one of identification information, fourth information, fifth information, sixth information, and seventh information of the target terminal device;

Similarly, it should be noted that, in the case of paging trigger, the anchor base station also sends a paging message to each base station in the target base station set. The paging message sent by the anchor base station to each base station in the target base station set may be encapsulated in the same information as the indication information in the above embodiment, or may be sent separately, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
And S42, determining whether the target terminal equipment can simultaneously receive paging on a plurality of frequency bands by all base stations (including an anchor base station) in the RAN area of the target terminal equipment according to the indication information.
Wherein the target number is the number of frequency bands for performing CCA simultaneously.
Further, after step S42 (that is, after all base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal device determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands simultaneously according to the indication information), the method provided in the embodiment of the present invention may include the following steps:
and S43, determining the target number by all base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal equipment according to the indication information.
Specifically, in S42, step S431 is performed if the indication information indicates that the target terminal device is capable of paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time, and step S432 is performed if the indication information indicates that the target terminal device is not capable of paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time.
And S431, determining the target number as an integer greater than or equal to 2 by each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal equipment.
That is, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device determines that the number of frequency bands for performing CCA at the same time is multiple (greater than or equal to 2).
S432, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal equipment determines the target number to be 1.
That is, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device determines that CCA can be performed on only one frequency band at the same time.
S44, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device performs CCA on a target number of frequency bands simultaneously.
That is, after step S41 (the anchor base station sends the indication information to each base station in the target base station set), the method provided in the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
and the anchor base station determines the target number according to the indication information and simultaneously performs CCA on the target number of frequency bands.
Wherein the target number is the number of frequency bands for performing CCA simultaneously;
specifically, when each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device determines that the target number is an integer greater than or equal to 2, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device performs CCA on multiple frequency bands at the same time, and when each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device determines that the target number is 1, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device performs CCA on only one frequency band.
Optionally, when the indication information includes the sixth information and the seventh information, in step S43, when each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device performs CCA on a target number of frequency bands at the same time, the method includes:
performing CCA on n designated frequency bands simultaneously;
wherein n is an integer less than or equal to the number of frequency bands supported by the target terminal device for simultaneous paging reception and greater than 1, and the designated frequency band belongs to the frequency band supported by the target terminal device for simultaneous paging reception.
Further optionally, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device provided in the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
under the condition that the number of the target frequency bands is 1, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal equipment sends a paging message through the target frequency bands;
under the condition that the number of target frequency bands is m, each base station in an RAN area of target terminal equipment selects one target frequency band from m target frequency bands to send paging messages;
and m is an integer greater than 1, and the target frequency band is a frequency band which can be used after CCA is carried out.
That is, referring to fig. 4, after step S44, the method for determining the capability of the terminal device according to the embodiment of the present invention further includes:
s45, each base station in the RAN area of the target terminal device sends a paging message to the target terminal device.
It should be noted that, in the case of paging trigger, the anchor base station also sends a paging message to each base station in the target base station set. Similarly, the paging message may be encapsulated in the same information as the indication information in the foregoing embodiment, or may be sent separately, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present invention.
It should be noted that the difference between the embodiment of the present invention and the first embodiment is that, in the first embodiment, the paging initiated by the core network device is described, and in the embodiment of the present invention, the paging initiated by the access network device is described, so that the target base station sets are different.
In the method for determining the capability of the terminal device, provided by the embodiment of the present invention, under the condition of paging triggering, the anchor base station sends the indication information to all base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal device, and the indication information may indicate whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time, so that all base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal device may determine whether the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time according to the indication information, and therefore, all base stations in the RAN area of the target terminal device may perform idle channel assessment on multiple frequency bands at the same time when the target terminal device can perform paging reception on multiple frequency bands at the same time, thereby reducing transmission delay.
