The shielding shell 3 includes a first long wall 31 and a second long wall 32 respectively disposed on the pair of side walls 132, the first long wall 31 is bent at two longitudinal ends thereof to form a first half short wall 33 located at the upper ends of the pair of end walls 133, the second long wall 32 is bent at two longitudinal ends thereof to form a second half short wall 34 located at the upper ends of the pair of end walls 133, and a spacing groove 134 is formed between the first half short wall 33 and the second half short wall 34 located on the same end wall 133 at a spacing. The shield 30 is disposed between the spacing grooves 134 at both longitudinal ends thereof. The bottom edges of the first long wall 31 and the second long wall 32 at both longitudinal sides are integrally connected through a bottom wall 35, the two bottom walls 35 are integrally bent upward to form the shielding element 30, and the first long wall 31, the second long wall 32 and the bottom wall 35 are respectively provided with a welding portion 36 welded to a circuit board (not shown). The shielding case 3 of the present invention is formed by bending a plate-shaped member and is integrally formed with the insulating main body 1.
Further, the shielding member 30 includes a main body 301 held in the tongue 12 to separate the two rows of conductive terminals 2, and separating portions 302 extending from two longitudinal ends of the main body 301 and located in the annular slot 131. The main body 301 includes a protruding portion 3011 exposed to the upper surface 121 of the tongue 12 and embedded portions 3012 embedded in the tongue 12 at both sides of the protruding portion 3011 in the longitudinal direction, so that the shield 30 can be effectively limited in the longitudinal direction. The opposite sides of the two first half short walls 33 of the shielding shell 3 are respectively bent downward to form a first downward folded section 331, the opposite sides of the two second half short walls 34 are respectively bent downward to form a second downward folded section 341, and the longitudinal two ends of the shielding element 30 are located between the first downward folded section 331 and the second downward folded section 341 which are arranged on the same end wall 133. The two first half short walls 33 are bent downward to form a third downward folded section 332 at the opposite side of the first downward folded section 331, and the two second half short walls 34 are bent downward to form a fourth downward folded section 342 at the opposite side of the second downward folded section 341. The top edges of the first long wall 31 and the second long wall 32 are respectively bent downward at two longitudinal sides of each row of conductive terminals 2 to form a pair of buckling parts 37 exposed in the annular slot 131.
The insulator 4 of the mating connector 200 includes a base 41 and a peripheral wall 42 protruding upward from the periphery of the base 41 and received in the annular slot 131 in a mating manner, the peripheral wall 42 includes a pair of longitudinal walls 421 extending in the longitudinal direction and a transverse wall 422 connecting the pair of longitudinal walls 421, and a mating cavity 423 for inserting the tongue 12 is formed by the pair of longitudinal walls 421 and the pair of transverse walls 422. The butt terminals 5 are arranged in two rows on the pair of longitudinal walls 421, the mounting member 6 is a pair of mounting members arranged on the pair of transverse walls 422, the mounting member 6 has an end portion 61 attached to the outer wall surface of the transverse wall 422 and a locking portion 62 connected to the end portion 61 and attached to the outer wall surface of the longitudinal wall 421, and the bottom portions of the end portion 61 and the locking portion 62 are bent outward to form a welding portion 63 welded to a circuit board (not shown). The docking connector 200 clamps the shielding member 30 of the shielding shell 3 by the clamping arm 61 to achieve grounding, without an additional housing (not shown).
