Server 104 may be a background server for the client. Server 104 in the event that the first virtual operand has the tracking function enabled and the second virtual operand is within a predetermined range of the first virtual operand, acquiring the position of the target virtual footprint in the virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object, wherein the generation time of the target virtual footprint is less than the predetermined time, the tracking function is used for acquiring the virtual footprint of the target virtual operation object in the target game application, the target virtual operation object comprises a second virtual operation object, the location of the target virtual footprint is then transmitted to the first terminal device 102 via the network, and the location of the target virtual footprint is then determined, in the first terminal device 102, the target virtual footprint is displayed at a location in the game scene, and, for the second terminal 106, may also interact with the first terminal via the network and server 104, for example, a game player corresponding to the first terminal and a game player corresponding to the second terminal interact with each other in the same game in a competitive manner. The above is merely an example, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited herein.
Displaying a scene picture positioned in the visual field range of the first virtual operation object in a game scene of the target game application in the game interface of the first terminal device 102 or the second terminal device 106; under the condition that the tracking function is started by the first virtual operation object and the second virtual operation object is located in a preset range of the first virtual operation object, acquiring the position of a target virtual footprint in a virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object, wherein the generation time length of the target virtual footprint is less than a preset time length, and the tracking function is used for acquiring the virtual footprint of the target virtual operation object in the target game application, wherein the target virtual operation object comprises the second virtual operation object; a target virtual footprint is displayed at a location in the game scene.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the terminal device (including the first terminal and the second terminal) may be a terminal device configured with a client, and may include, but is not limited to, at least one of the following: mobile phones (such as Android phones, iOS phones, etc.), notebook computers, tablet computers, palm computers, MID (Mobile Internet Devices), PAD, desktop computers, etc. Such networks may include, but are not limited to: a wired network, a wireless network, wherein the wired network comprises: a local area network, a metropolitan area network, and a wide area network, the wireless network comprising: bluetooth, WIFI, and other networks that enable wireless communication. The server may be a single server or a server cluster composed of a plurality of servers. The above is only an example, and the present embodiment is not limited to this.
Optionally, in this embodiment, as an optional implementation manner, the method may be executed by a server, or may be executed by a terminal device, or may be executed by both the server and the terminal device, and in this embodiment, the description is given by taking an example that the method is executed by a terminal device (for example, the first terminal device 102). As shown in fig. 2, the flow of the method for displaying the virtual footprint may include the steps of:
step S202, a scene picture positioned in the visual field range of a first virtual operation object is displayed in a game scene of a target game application;
step S204, under the condition that the tracking function is started by the first virtual operation object and the second virtual operation object is located in the preset range of the first virtual operation object, the position of a target virtual footprint in a virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object is obtained, wherein the generation time length of the target virtual footprint is less than the preset time length, the tracking function is used for obtaining the virtual footprint of the target virtual operation object in the target game application, and the target virtual operation object comprises the second virtual operation object;
in step S206, a target virtual footprint is displayed at a position in the game scene.
Alternatively, the display method of the virtual footprint may be, but is not limited to, a scene in which a virtual shooting game is played using a client.
For example, in a virtual shooting game, a user may play the game using a client running on a terminal. In the process of playing the virtual shooting game, a first virtual operation object (such as a virtual game character with a moving function in the game) is displayed on a display interface of the game, for the first virtual operation object, when the tracking function is started by the first virtual operation object and a second operation object exists in a preset range of the first virtual operation object, the position of a target virtual footprint of which the duration of the second virtual operation object is less than a preset duration is acquired, and then the target virtual footprint is displayed at the position in a game scene. It should be understood that the above description is only an example, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited thereto.
With the present embodiment, first, in a game scene of a target game application, a first virtual operation object is displayed, if the first virtual operation object starts a tracking function, and a second virtual operation object exists within a predetermined range of the first virtual operation object, a position of a target virtual footprint in a virtual footprint that has been generated by the second virtual operation object is acquired, wherein a generation time of the target virtual footprint is less than a predetermined time, and then the target virtual footprint is displayed at the position in the game scene. The aim of displaying the target virtual footprint is achieved, the technical effect that a second virtual operation object (such as an enemy in a game scene) is tracked through the target virtual footprint in the game scene is achieved, and the technical problem that the enemy trace cannot be found intuitively in a virtual shooting game in the related art is solved.
The method for displaying the virtual footprint described above in this embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 2.
In step S202, a scene screen located within the visual field range of the first virtual operation object is displayed in the game scene of the target game application.
Alternatively, the target game application may be an application having a moving virtual game character, such as a virtual shooting game, and the target game application may be a web game or a mobile phone-side game. The first virtual operation object may be understood as a virtual game character having a function of movement or the like. For the first virtual operation object, a certain key in a keyboard can be pressed to operate the first virtual operation object, or in a game scene of a virtual shooting game running on a mobile terminal (such as a mobile phone end), the first virtual operation object is operated by touching a corresponding screen position. It should be understood that the above description is only an example, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited thereto.
A scene screen positioned within the visual field range of the first virtual operation object can be displayed in the game scene of the virtual shooting game. Such as by a first viewing angle or by a third viewing angle.
In step S204, in a case that the first virtual operation object has the tracking function started and the second virtual operation object is located within the predetermined range of the first virtual operation object, the position of the target virtual footprint in the virtual footprints generated by the second virtual operation object is obtained, wherein the generation time of the target virtual footprint is less than the predetermined time, the tracking function is used for obtaining the virtual footprint of the target virtual operation object in the target game application, and the target virtual operation object includes the second virtual operation object.
In a game scene, taking a mobile phone-end game as an example, for a first virtual operation object, a tracking function skill may be selected, where the tracking function is used to obtain a virtual footprint of a target virtual operation object in the target game application, and in a case where the first virtual operation object starts the tracking function and a second virtual operation object (the target virtual operation object includes the second virtual operation object) is within a predetermined range of the first virtual operation object, a target virtual footprint in the virtual footprint that has been generated by the second virtual operation object is obtained, where a generation duration of the target virtual footprint is shorter than a predetermined duration, it is understood that, for the virtual footprint, the virtual footprint is generated during the moving of the second virtual operation object, the virtual footprint is calculated from a moment of generation of the virtual footprint, and if the generation duration of the virtual footprint (for example, 8 seconds) is shorter than the predetermined duration (10 seconds), the virtual footprint generated with a duration less than the predetermined duration is taken as the target virtual footprint. It is understood that the above description is only an example, and not intended to be limiting.
Optionally, in this embodiment, a position of a target virtual footprint in a virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object is obtained, and in a case that the target virtual footprint includes a first group of virtual footprints, the position of the first group of virtual footprints is obtained, where the first group of virtual footprints is a virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object during movement, and each virtual footprint in the first group of virtual footprints is a virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object at a left foot or a right foot of a corresponding one of the target movement positions.
Optionally, during the moving process of the second virtual operation object, a virtual footprint may be generated, where the virtual footprint is a footprint generated when the left foot or the right foot of the second virtual operation object moves to the target moving position, and for the target virtual footprint, a virtual footprint of the second virtual operation object when the left foot moves to the target moving position may be acquired as the first group of virtual footprints, and a virtual footprint of the second virtual operation object when the right foot moves to the target moving position may be acquired as the first group of virtual footprints, and a position of the first group of virtual footprints may be acquired.
For example, as shown in fig. 3, in a game scene, if a first virtual operation object starts the skill of the tracking function, a virtual footprint generated by the right foot of a second virtual operation object may be acquired.
Through the embodiment, in a game scene, the activity track of the game character can be visually presented by acquiring the first group of virtual footprints, so that the tracking capability of a player in a game is effectively improved, and the game experience of a user is improved.
Optionally, in this embodiment, positions of a first group of virtual footprints are acquired, and a virtual footprint, generated by the second virtual operation object at a corresponding one of the target movement positions every predetermined time threshold during the movement process, is acquired, where the first group of virtual footprints is a virtual footprint, generated by the second virtual operation object at a corresponding one of the target movement positions every predetermined time threshold during the movement process.
Optionally, during the moving process of the second virtual operation object, a virtual footprint is generated, where the virtual footprint is a footprint generated by moving the second virtual operation object to a target moving position every predetermined time threshold (e.g. 5 seconds), and then the positions of the first group of virtual footprints may be obtained according to a predetermined time threshold.
For example, as shown in fig. 4, in a game scenario, if a first virtual operation object starts the skill of the tracking function, a virtual footprint generated by a second virtual operation object may be obtained according to a predetermined time threshold, that is, a target virtual footprint is not continuously displayed, but is displayed for a certain period of time, and if a virtual footprint generated by a second virtual operation object is generated at certain time intervals, a footprint may be displayed at a long distance.
By the embodiment, the technical scheme is adopted, the virtual footprints generated by the second virtual operation object at the corresponding target position according to the certain preset time threshold in the moving process are obtained, and under the condition that the second virtual operation object moves slowly, the obtained virtual footprints are prevented from being too dense, so that the game experience of a user is improved.
Alternatively, in this embodiment, the distance between the virtual footprints generated at the two adjacent target moving positions is proportional to the moving speed of the second virtual operation object between the two adjacent target moving positions.
For the second virtual operation object, if the moving speed of the second virtual operation object is fast, the distance between the virtual footprints at the two adjacent target moving positions generated by the second virtual operation object in the moving process is larger, and if the moving speed of the second virtual operation object is slow, the distance between the virtual footprints at the two adjacent target moving positions generated by the second virtual operation object in the moving process is smaller. That is, if the moving speed of the second virtual operation object is fast, the virtual footprints generated by the second virtual operation object may be separated by a long distance before displaying one footprints.
Alternatively, the distance between the virtual footprints at the two adjacent target moving positions generated by the second virtual operation object during the moving process can also be set as a fixed value, and the like.
It is understood that the above is only an example, and the present embodiment does not limit the present invention.
Through the embodiment, because the distance between the virtual footprints generated on the moving positions of the two adjacent targets is in direct proportion to the moving speed of the second virtual operation object, the user can judge the moving speed of the second virtual operation object through the distance between the virtual footprints, more detailed details are provided for the player corresponding to the first virtual operation object, the accuracy rate of tracking the enemy of the player in the game process is improved, and the game experience of the game player is improved.
Optionally, in this embodiment, a position of a target virtual footprint in the virtual footprints that the second virtual operation object has generated is obtained, and in a case that the target virtual footprint includes a second group of virtual footprints, a position of a second group of virtual footprints is obtained, where the second group of virtual footprints is a virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object when the second virtual operation object stays, and each pair of virtual footprints in the second group of virtual footprints is a virtual footprint generated by the left foot and the right foot of the second virtual operation object at a corresponding one of the staying positions.
Optionally, the second virtual operation object may generate a virtual footprint during the moving process, where the virtual footprint is a footprint generated by moving a left foot or a right foot of the second virtual operation object to the target moving position, generate virtual footprints of the left foot and the right foot simultaneously when the second virtual operation object stays during the moving process, regard the footprint generated by the second virtual operation object when the second virtual operation object stays as a second group of virtual footprints, and obtain the position of the second group of virtual footprints. By the method, the second virtual operation object can be clearly known to stay at the place in the game scene, and convenience is brought to tracking of the second virtual operation object.
For example, as shown in fig. 5, in a game scene, if a first virtual operation object starts the skill of the tracking function, virtual footprints generated by the left foot and the right foot when the second virtual operation object stays at the position shown in fig. 5 can be acquired.
Through the embodiment, in a game scene, the stopping track of the game character can be visually presented by acquiring the second group of virtual footprints, so that the tracking capability of a player in a game is effectively improved, and the game experience of a user is improved.
Optionally, in this embodiment, a position of a target virtual footprint in the virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object is acquired, and a position of the target virtual footprint located in a target visual field range in the virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object is acquired, where the target visual field range is the visual field range of the first virtual operation object.
Optionally, the second virtual operation object may generate a virtual footprint during the movement, and for the first virtual operation object, a position of the target virtual footprint within the visual field of the first operation object may be acquired. That is, all virtual footprints generated for a second operation object within a predetermined range of the first operation object are within those virtual footprints to a position where a target virtual footprint within a target visual field range of the first operation object is acquired.
For example, as shown in fig. 6, when the second virtual operation is not within the visual field of the first virtual operation object in the game scene, only the virtual footprint generated in the target visual field of the first virtual operation object is displayed for the virtual footprint generated by the second virtual operation object, and the virtual footprint generated in another place (e.g., another room) for the second virtual operation object is not displayed.
Through the embodiment, the target virtual footprint in the target visual field range of the first virtual operation object is displayed, so that not only is the reality degree of the game improved, but also the game experience of the user is improved.
In step S206, a target virtual footprint is displayed at a position in the game scene.
In a game scenario, a target virtual footprint may be displayed at a location where the target virtual footprint is generated. The virtual footprint may be presented in a special effect, and when the tracking mode is turned on, the display time of the virtual footprint may be set to 10 seconds, etc. It is understood that the above is only an example, and the present embodiment is not limited thereto.
Alternatively, in the present embodiment, after the target virtual footprint is displayed at the position in the game scene, in the case where the generation time period of the target virtual footprint is greater than or equal to the predetermined time period, the target virtual footprint is not displayed in the game scene.
Optionally, in the game scene, after the first virtual operation object starts the tracking function, the target virtual footprint is displayed first, and if the generation duration of the target virtual footprint exceeds or is equal to the predetermined duration, the target virtual footprint whose generation duration exceeds or is equal to the predetermined duration is cancelled.
For example, in a game scene, after the first virtual operation object starts the tracking function, the target virtual footprint is displayed first, and if the generation time length (e.g., 12 seconds) of the virtual footprint is longer than a predetermined time length (10 seconds), the target virtual footprint whose generation time length in the game scene is longer than the predetermined time length is not displayed, or if the generation time length (e.g., 10 seconds) of the virtual footprint is equal to the predetermined time length (10 seconds), the target virtual footprint whose generation time length in the game scene is equal to the predetermined time length is not displayed.
Through the embodiment, in a game scene, when the generation duration of the target virtual footprint is greater than or equal to the preset duration, the display of the target virtual footprint is cancelled, the track of the second virtual operation object can be effectively protected, the game fun is increased, and the game experience of a game player is improved.
Alternatively, in the present embodiment, in a case where the second virtual operation object is located outside the predetermined range, the target virtual footprint is not displayed in the game scene.
Optionally, in the game scene, after the target virtual footprint is displayed, if the first operation object and/or the second virtual operation object is/are in the moving process, and if the second virtual operation object is not within the predetermined range of the first virtual operation object, the target virtual footprint is cancelled to be displayed.
For example, in a game scene, if a first virtual operation object starts a tracking function and a second virtual operation object is within a predetermined range of the first virtual operation object, a target virtual footprint is displayed, if the first virtual operation object does not move and the second virtual operation object exceeds the predetermined range of the first virtual operation object during moving, the target virtual footprint is canceled, or if the second virtual operation object does not move and the first virtual operation object causes the second virtual operation object to exceed the predetermined range of the first virtual operation object during moving, the target virtual footprint is canceled, or the first virtual operation object and the second virtual operation object move simultaneously and cause the second virtual operation object to exceed the predetermined range of the first virtual operation object, the target virtual footprint is canceled.
Through the embodiment, through the technical scheme, as long as the second virtual operation object is not in the preset range of the first virtual operation object, the display of the target virtual footprint is cancelled, so that the game reality degree is effectively ensured, and the game experience of a game player is improved.
It should be noted that, in the current shooting mobile game, finding the trail of enemies is a very important skill, and especially in the close combat, how to quickly find the enemies is a very critical important factor, and whether the enemies exist nearby can be judged by judging the footstep sound or the gunshot of the enemies, but the factor of the sound is abstract, so that the enemies cannot be perceived by everyone, and the sound can disappear quickly.
In order to solve the problems, the scheme provides that the trace is found by displaying the foot print of the enemy, and the specific realization product is that the foot print is displayed at the place where the enemy walks, the foot print can last for a certain display time, so that the player can perceive the hiding place of the enemy through the foot print and can follow up the hiding place. In this way, a discrimination can be visually added to the players, so that the players can trace enemies by physical substances through visual observation for the players who are not sensitive to sound.
The following describes a flow of a method for displaying virtual footmarks in a virtual shooter game with reference to an alternative example, as shown in fig. 7, the method includes the following steps:
step 1, judging whether the player is equipped with the skill of displaying the footprint.
And judging whether the player is equipped with the skill for displaying the footprint, and if the player is equipped with the skill for displaying the footprint, continuing the next judgment. Wherein, the player can correspond to the first virtual operation object.
And 2, judging whether the player is in the range required to be displayed.
In order to reduce unnecessary expenditure, whether the target is in a range required to be displayed needs to be judged, when the target (such as an enemy player and an enemy) is far away from the player, the footprint is not displayed any more, and the footprint can be arranged at a close distance to track the target so as to find the enemy through the footprint mark. It should be noted that if the enemy is far from the player, the foot print far from the player may not be visible, and the foot print is time-efficient, and if the enemy is far from the player, the player may not see the foot print even when the player runs near the enemy, so it is necessary to first determine the distance between the enemy and the player to determine whether or not the foot print of the enemy is displayed. Wherein the target may correspond to the second virtual operation object.

And 2, starting the tracker skill and displaying the footprint in the game interface.
As shown in fig. 3, after the player uses the skill, only the player using the skill can see the footmark, which cannot be seen even by teammates, and the direction in which the footmark is displayed is the direction in which the enemy player moves.
As shown in fig. 6, in a map with many rooms, although the player cannot see any enemy, the enemy player can be known to hide in the small room of fig. 6 by the footprint on the ground and the direction of the footprint, and at this time, the player can strike the enemy player in a manner of throwing a torpedo or preparing for a assault.
And 3, displaying and disappearing the footprint.
As shown in fig. 4, the footprints are not displayed continuously, but may be displayed at certain time intervals, and in the case that the enemy player moves at a high speed, a certain distance may be left between the footprints generated by the enemy player to display one footprints.
As shown in fig. 10, when the enemy player moves at a relatively slow speed, a relatively uniform footprint can be seen.
Note that the footprint does not always exist, and the display time of the footprint may be set to 4 seconds, 5 seconds, or the like.
