Description

Method and device for forwarding group chat messages
Technical Field

Background
According to the RCS specification of GSMA (Global System for Mobile communications Assembly), the group chat service requires establishing a session for each terminal and maintaining the session. When a user sends and receives a group chat Message, the Message content is transmitted through a MSRP (Message Session Relay Protocol) media Session.
When the group chat server GC AS is separate from the instant messaging server IM AS, the same session link needs to be maintained between the GC AS and the IM AS.
The system architecture and signaling flow are shown in fig. 1, from GC AS to IM AS to the terminals, the GC AS needs to establish an MSRP media session link with each terminal. Correspondingly, the number of MSRP media session links equal to that of the terminals also needs to be established between the GC AS and the IM AS of the group chat server.
When there are n users in a group, n session sessions and n MSRP channels need to be maintained between the IM AS and the terminal, and n session sessions and n MSRP channels need to be maintained between the GC AS and the IM AS.
When the group chat server GC AS receives a message, the group chat server GC AS needs to broadcast all other users in the group once. In extreme cases, the same message is forwarded from the group chat server to the IM AS of a certain node, and the forwarding is repeated for n-1 times.
By the processing mode defined by the GSMA specification, messages between the GC AS and each IM AS of the group chat server are forwarded one by one, so that a large amount of inter-network bandwidth resources are wasted. Especially, when the GC AS and the IM AS are located in different regions, the bandwidth resources across the regions are very expensive, and the waste of the inter-network bandwidth resources is more obvious.
Meanwhile, a large number of group chat session sessions and MSRP channels need to be maintained and managed between the GC AS and the IM AS, and between the IM AS and the terminal, which occupies a large number of memory resources and management resources of the GC AS, the IM AS, and the CSCF. The IM AS terminates the session and MSRP media link of the UE. The IM AS initiates a create group chat request to the GC AS, but does not create an MSRP media link. And ending the session after the group chat is established. When the GC AS sends a group chat invitation request, the GC AS forwards an invite message once to the same node IM AS in a Standalone message group sending mode without creating an MSRP session link. And the session flow between the IM AS and the invited terminal is completed by the IM AS to which the user belongs. The method specifically comprises the following steps:
601. UE sends A group chat establishing request to IM AS-A, and an INVITE message FeatureTag fills in standard parameters:
*;+g.3gpp.icsi-ref="urn%3Aurn-7%3A3gpp-service.ims.icsi.oma.cpm.session"。
602-603, after receiving the group chat establishment request, the IM AS-A replies 200OK to the UE A, and the two parties negotiate to establish the MSRP session link.
