Description

Control and signaling device, in particular a switchboard seal for a rotary actuator
Technical Field
The invention relates to a control and signaling device, in particular a switchboard sealing device for a rotary actuator, comprising a cylindrical base body and an outer edge surrounding the cylindrical base body, and to a control and signaling device having such a switchboard sealing device.
Background
Rotary manipulators of this type are used for command input on so-called human-machine interfaces. In this case, it is possible to use the rotary actuator as a tripping device for circuit breakers, as well as for switching control currents. High demands are placed on such rotary manipulators with regard to lifetime, robustness, and tightness of the electrical components with respect to water and dirt. Furthermore, the production should also be as inexpensive and process-reliable as possible.
The command device is installed in a switchboard, control panel, switch cabinet or enclosure cover. The command device is usually constructed in a modular manner. This means that the command device is formed by an actuating element, a fastening element, for example a ring nut or a mounting bracket, and one or more switching elements designed as opening or closing elements. For mounting, the actuating element is usually guided from the front through a hole in the switch plate and is mounted from the rear by means of a fastening element. The switching element is mechanically fixed to the operating element or the fixed element by means of screws, hooks or latches. The electrical connection of the switching element to the control device is realized via a connection terminal.
The rotary actuator can assume different switch positions by rotation, for example in order to switch the motor on or off.
The actuating element must meet the multifaceted requirements. The actuating element should therefore be simple to install and have a certain attraction for the user, for example. But the most important requirement is to switch on or put the device in a safer state and to switch on or put the device in a safer state at a location that is affected by all possible circumstances. For this purpose, the corresponding protection is the sealing requirement for the product group in order to ensure a permanently robust operating capability of the installation. To achieve this state, various seal designs exist on the market.
In order to seal the actuating element with respect to the electrical panel and to pre-install it in the electrical panel, sealing devices have previously been mounted or otherwise fixedly attached to all actuating elements, i.e. the sealing devices are arranged directly on the tubular body.
A disadvantage of the solutions previously known from the prior art is that the sealing device does not adequately protect against environmental influences and dust in the case of overall high requirements.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a panelboard sealing arrangement for a control and signaling device which meets the demanding overall requirements with regard to the sealing effect between panelboard and operating element, and to provide a control and signaling device having such a sealing arrangement.
The object is achieved by the switch panel sealing device for a command and signaling device according to the invention and by the command and signaling device according to the invention. The advantageous embodiments and the further embodiments can be used individually or in combination.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a panelboard seal for a command and signal device, in particular a rotary actuator, comprising a cylindrical base body and an outer edge surrounding the cylindrical base body. The invention is characterized in that the sealing device is formed from at least two components, wherein one component has elastic properties and the other component has non-elastic properties.
The core of the invention is to provide a multi-component sealing device having at least two different components. A component of the electrical panel seal has elastic, rubber properties, as a result of which the seal according to the invention can be deformed and adapted to the respective construction conditions. Furthermore, the rubber-like component is also characterized in that the rubber-like component is stably attached to the second component and does not slip, so that the position of the switchboard sealing device on the command and signal device and on the switchboard does not change even under harsh environmental conditions.
An important second component of the panelboard seal is non-elastic, non-deformable and rubber-free or not based on rubber material, i.e. the second component is not a vulcanized rubber of natural or synthetic rubber. The second component is preferably designed as a ring and is made of metal, alloy or stainless steel or, by means of a coating, of various metals or other materials with similar hardness, such as stainless steel. The surface of the second member may be smooth, rough or provided with a geometry such as grooves in order to optimize the adhesion of the first member. It is also contemplated that the second member is constructed from a different single metal through one or more coatings. The second member may also be composed of a plurality of single rings which are connected to each other by fusion or similar joining techniques.
In a further development of the design according to the invention, it can be provided that the one component is rubber.
In a particular embodiment of the invention, it is further provided that the rubber is made of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber. Rubber components made from nitrile rubber have high resistance to oils, greases and hydrocarbons, advantageous ageing properties and low wear. The acrylonitrile fraction in the nitrile rubber can be between 18% and 50% and in this case influences the following properties:
resistance to swelling
-elasticity
Low temperature adaptability
Gas permeability
Compression set
Thus, a nitrile rubber material with an acrylonitrile fraction of 18% exhibits a very good low-temperature suitability of up to approximately minus 38 ℃ in the case of oil-and hydrocarbon-resistant properties in general, whereas a nitrile rubber material with an acrylonitrile fraction of 50% exhibits a low-temperature suitability of only up to approximately minus 3 ℃, but in this case the oil-and hydrocarbon-resistant properties are optimal. As the acrylonitrile content increases, the elasticity and gas permeability decrease and, in addition, the compression set also becomes worse. Materials based on such synthetic rubbers are suitable for many applications because of their good technical properties.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the second component is produced from one or more rings.
In a further development of the design according to the invention, it can be provided that the ring or rings are made of stainless steel or a metal or an alloy or are made of metals or other materials with similar hardness, such as stainless steel, by means of a coating. These materials may have properties similar to plastics or cement.
In a particular embodiment of the invention, the non-elastic second component can be partially covered by the peripheral outer edge of the panelboard seal and partially uncovered without being covered by the first component.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the peripheral outer edge is designed in part in the form of sealing lips arranged one behind the other.
In this further development of the design according to the invention, it can be provided that the cylindrical base body of the panelboard sealing arrangement is designed to converge conically in the end region.
The object is also achieved by a command and signaling device having a panelboard sealing device with the above-mentioned features.
In a particular embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the command and signal device is a rotary actuator.
The inventive power distribution panel sealing device for a control and signal device, in particular a rotary actuator, has a cylindrical base body and an outer edge surrounding the cylindrical base body. The cylindrical base body has an end region which is arranged opposite the outer edge and preferably converges slightly conically. Preferably, alternating recesses and projections are arranged in the cylindrical base body, which recesses and projections are preferably oriented parallel to one another from the end region toward the outer edge. The recesses are preferably blind-hole recesses, which do not allow complete penetration. By alternately arranging the cutouts and the bosses, the electrical panel sealing device achieves appropriate flexibility. A second component, preferably in the form of a metal ring, is arranged in the outer edge of the circumference of the cylindrical base body of the panelboard seal. The second component of the panelboard seal is only partially covered by the first component, so that the terminal end of the outer edge is formed by the second component, which is then exposed and not covered by the first component, preferably rubber. A first component in the form of a sealing lip is formed on the second component, the first component being arranged such that it can be compressed. The first member is secured to the second member by a particular attachment mechanism, such as adhesive bonding.
The panelboard sealing arrangement according to the invention is formed in one piece from a granular material, but is based on at least two components, at least one elastic component and one non-elastic component being provided as components of the seal.

In the drawings, schematically:
fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a panelboard seal arrangement according to the present invention;
