In the slot (connector) technology of the existing portable computer expansion device, a Pogo pin is often used as a functional connector, but the Pogo pin connector is easy to interrupt in a shaking or vibrating environment; in addition, the pin header connector has high design size accuracy requirement and is not suitable for vehicle-mounted vibration environment. Therefore, high quality spring pin connectors have been developed which are suitable for use in environments with vibration or sloshing, but which are expensive and not economical. Therefore, how to effectively improve the above-mentioned deficiency problems is an important direction for the industry to try to solve and overcome.
Therefore, in view of the disadvantages of the conventional portable computer expansion device used in a shaking or vibrating environment and the fact that the structure design thereof is not ideal, the present inventors have developed solutions thereof, and hope to develop a portable computer expansion device with better adaptability, economy and excellent electrical communication transmission, so as to serve the public and promote the development of the industry, and have created the present invention through many ideas.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention discloses an expansion device for portable computer, comprising: an expansion seat body, which is provided with at least one accommodating positioning groove; a connector device having a connecting seat with a butt surface on which a first electric connector is arranged, the connecting seat being disposed in the accommodating positioning groove, and a gap in the longitudinal and transverse directions being formed between the connecting seat and the accommodating positioning groove, so that the connecting seat has a displacement adjusting space relative to the accommodating positioning groove.
In an embodiment of the invention, the expansion seat body is provided with at least one locking device for preventing the connecting seat from separating from the accommodating positioning slot at the periphery of the accommodating positioning slot.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the locking device includes at least one plug seat and a plug member, the plug member is inserted into the plug seat, and a portion of the plug member extends to cover and block the abutting surface.
In an embodiment of the present invention, two ends of the plug member are respectively inserted into the corresponding plug seats.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the plug is a T-shaped plug.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the plug member is provided with a locking protrusion, and the locking protrusion is locked on the plug seat to prevent the plug member from being released.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first electrical connector has a plurality of pin headers.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first electrical connector is configured to mate with a second connector, and the second connector is disposed on a portable computer.

The present invention is developed for portable computer expanding device in available technology, and has movable connector to form space allowing displacement and great mechanical tolerance for ensuring excellent use of signal.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 2, fig. 3 and fig. 4, for describing an expansion device of a portable computer according to the present invention, the expansion device 10 shown in fig. 1 of the present invention includes: an expansion base 11 and a connector device 12; the expansion base 11 has at least one positioning slot 111. The connector device 12 includes a connecting seat 13 disposed in the receiving positioning groove 12, the connecting seat 13 has a mating surface 131, and the mating surface 131 (the connecting seat 13) is provided with a first electrical connector 14. The connecting socket 13 may be a circuit board, and the mating surface 131 may also be provided with electronic circuits and related electronic components. When the connecting seat 13 is disposed in the accommodating positioning groove 111, a gap in the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction is formed between the connecting seat 13 and the accommodating positioning groove 111, that is, the length and the width of the accommodating positioning groove 111 are both larger than those of the connecting seat 13, so that when the connecting seat 13 is disposed in the accommodating positioning groove 111, the connecting seat 13 has a displacement adjusting space in the length direction and the width direction relative to the accommodating positioning groove 111, as shown in fig. 3 and 4.
As shown in fig. 2, the first electrical connector 14 is a pin header connector, which includes an insulating base 141, a mating portion 142 protruding from a central portion of the insulating base 141, and a plurality of pins 143 disposed on a side of the mating portion 142. The pin header 143 has a length and a contact area suitable for high-speed signals and large current of pogo pins, and the added contact can have a better reliability (e.g., SATA connector type). The pin header connector of the first connector, with its sliding planar contact, allows for greater mechanical tolerances when engaged, is suitable for use in a Dock connection, and may allow for axial displacement travel.
In the above structure, the expansion seat 11 is provided with at least one locking device 15 around the receiving positioning slot 111, and the locking device 15 is used to prevent the connecting seat 13 from being released from the locking of the receiving positioning slot 111. In this embodiment, a plurality of locking devices 15 are provided, each locking device 15 includes at least one plug seat 150 and at least one plug member 16, when the locking device 15 is installed, two plug seats 150 can be located at two sides of the end corner of the receiving positioning groove 111, each plug seat 150 has a through groove 151, so that the two end insertion portions 161 of each plug member 16 can be inserted into and locked in the corresponding plug seat 150 (the through groove 151), and the plug member 16 is located on the corresponding abutting surface 131 (or the connecting seat 13), that is, the plug member 16 is protruded and blocked on the corresponding abutting surface 131 (or the connecting seat 13), and the plug member 16 can prevent the connector 12 (the connecting seat 13) from being pulled out upward (vertical to the direction of fig. 1).
Furthermore, a locking device 15A is disposed on one side of the positioning groove 111, the locking device 15A also includes a plug seat 150A, the plug seat 150A is used to match a T-shaped plug 17, the insertion portion 171 of one end of the T-shaped plug 17 is inserted into the through groove 151A of the plug seat 150A, as shown in fig. 2, a locking protrusion 172 is disposed on the insertion portion 171 of the T-shaped plug 17, when the insertion portion 171 is inserted into the through groove 151A, the locking protrusion 172 is locked on the inner end side of the plug seat 150A (the through groove 151A) to form a locking stop for preventing the T-shaped plug 17 from being released, and at the same time, the T-shaped plug 17 (the insertion portion 171) is protruded on the opposite surface 131 (or the connecting seat 13), i.e., the T-shaped plug 17 (the insertion portion 171) is protruded on the opposite surface 131 (or the connecting seat 13) to be blocked on the opposite surface 131 (or the connecting seat 13). Thus, the triangular positioning of the locking devices 15 and 15A formed at the two end corners and one side of the receiving positioning groove 111 can ensure to prevent the connector device 12 (the connecting seat 13) from being pulled out upward.
Referring to fig. 5 to fig. 6, when the portable computer expansion device of the present invention is applied, it further includes a computer expansion device 20, the computer expansion device 20 has an expansion base 21 and a backrest base 22, the expansion base 21 has a positioning slot 23, and the positioning slot 23 is used to set the expansion device 10. Therefore, the docking station 11 is applied to the computer docking device 20 as the docking station 21, and the positioning slot 111 is equivalent to the positioning slot 23.
Another pen 30 (or tablet) includes a pen base 31, and a second connector 311 is disposed on a bottom surface (but not limited to) of the pen base 31. When the pen 30 is disposed on the docking body 21, the second connector 311 is mated with the first electrical connector 14 to complete electrical connection, as shown in fig. 7 and 8.
As shown in fig. 9, the second connector 311 disposed on the pen holder 31 has a mating slot 310, and two opposite sides of the mating slot 310 are disposed with inclined insertion surfaces 312 and 313, so that the inclined insertion surfaces 312 and 313 around the mating slot 310 form a tapered insertion opening, and the mating of the second connector 311 and the first electrical connector 14 is very convenient and fast. In this manner, a tapered socket or beveled insertion surface is provided to facilitate guided engagement, allowing blind insertion of the components.
The portable computer expansion device of the present invention can utilize the movable connector structure design to have the space allowing displacement and more mechanical tolerance through the structure, so that the portable computer expansion device can be used in the environment of shaking and vibration, and the purposes of continuous signal interruption and excellent economic benefit are achieved.
However, the above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, and all equivalent changes and modifications in the shape, structure, characteristics and spirit described in the claims of the present invention should be included in the claims of the present invention.
Claims (10)
1. An expansion device for portable computer, comprising:
an expansion seat body, which is provided with at least one accommodating positioning groove;
a connector device having a connecting seat with a butt surface on which a first electric connector is arranged, the connecting seat being disposed in the accommodating positioning groove, and a gap in the longitudinal and transverse directions being formed between the connecting seat and the accommodating positioning groove, so that the connecting seat has a displacement adjusting space relative to the accommodating positioning groove.
2. The portable computer expansion device of claim 1, wherein the expansion base body is provided with at least one locking device at the periphery of the positioning slot for preventing the connection seat from separating from the positioning slot.
3. The portable computer expansion device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the locking device comprises at least one plug seat and a plug member, the plug member is inserted into the plug seat, and a portion of the plug member is protruded to cover and block on the abutting surface.
4. The portable computer expansion device as claimed in claim 3, wherein both ends of the plug member are respectively inserted into the corresponding plug seats.
5. The portable computer expansion device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the plug member is a T-shaped plug member.
6. The portable computer expansion device as claimed in claim 5, wherein the plug member is provided with a locking protrusion for locking to the plug seat to prevent the plug member from being released.
7. The portable computer expansion device of claim 1, wherein the first electrical connector has a plurality of pins.
8. The portable computer expansion device of claim 1, wherein the first electrical connector is used to mate with a second connector, the second connector is disposed on a portable computer.
9. The portable computer expansion device as claimed in claim 8, wherein the second connector has a docking slot, at least one side of the docking slot has a slanted surface.
10. The portable computer expansion device as claimed in claim 9, wherein the inclined insertion surface is formed on all four sides of the docking slot, and the inclined insertion surface forms a tapered insertion opening of the docking slot.
