Description

Display screen public voltage adjusting method and display screen
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to a display screen public voltage adjusting method and a display screen.
Background
With the increasing proportion of mobile phones and flat display screens, the display effect of the display screens is more and more emphasized. In order to pursue a better experience effect, a user wants a display screen to have a wider viewing angle, a higher contrast ratio, a clearer screen, and a smaller FLICKER picture, and since the FLICKER picture becomes larger, the sharpness of the display screen is directly affected. And when the picture flickers for a small enough time, the picture presented by the display screen is like a static picture, so that the user experience is better. Therefore, FLICKER is currently an indicator of great interest.
The Display of the screen is realized by turning over the Liquid Crystal in the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display, abbreviated as LCD) to transmit light. The transmittance of light is related to the turning angle of the liquid crystal, and the LCD realizes the gray effect representation of one picture through the turning angle of the liquid crystal. I.e. when displaying a certain static picture, the liquid crystal will keep the flip angle unchanged. In order to prevent the liquid crystal from being polarized, the electric field for realizing the liquid crystal turnover is not a direct current electric field, but an alternating current electric field with the same positive and negative half cycle time and the same amplitude, so that the liquid crystal keeps a fixed turnover angle in the alternating current electric field, and the display FLICKER is controlled to be as small as possible.
Generally, the electric field changes once every time the LCD completes scanning for one frame, however, in practical cases, the positive and negative electric fields that flip the liquid crystal are not always the same, and when the flip angles of the liquid crystal in the two electric fields are different, the flipper is generated. In order to obtain a better display state of the flipper as small as possible for each display panel, each module factory performs One-time Password (OTP) burning on each manufactured display panel, searches for a suitable VCOM voltage of each display panel by changing a setting of a VCOM voltage (common reference voltage) register, and burns and solidifies the suitable VCOM voltage into a chip of an Integrated Circuit (IC). The display screen calls the previously burned value every time the display screen displays so as to obtain the better FLICKER display state of the display screen.
The burning time of each display screen is 18S-25S, wherein the time of 12S-15S is in the searching process of searching a better VCOM voltage value. However, if the value-searching range is set too small, the best value may not be found; if the value searching range is set to be too large, the value searching time is prolonged; and the adaptive value searching range is easy to generate BUG, so that the value searching is abnormal. In the prior art, no matter the value searching methods such as a segmentation method, an analog curve and a cyclic value searching method are adopted, the burning time is difficult to shorten.

Detailed Description
To facilitate an understanding of the invention, the invention will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown in the drawings. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. The terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention.
For example, a display screen common voltage adjusting method is provided, which comprises the following steps:
acquiring a public voltage value-flicker value curve of a display screen to obtain a correction slope; inputting an initial common voltage value; acquiring a flicker value of the display screen under a current common voltage value as a first flicker value; judging whether the first flicker value is larger than a preset threshold value or not, and calculating to obtain a correction value according to the first flicker value and the correction slope when the first flicker value is larger than the preset threshold value; correcting the initial common voltage value according to the initial common voltage value and the correction value to obtain a first common voltage value, and taking the first common voltage value as a current common voltage value; acquiring a flicker value of the display screen at the current common voltage value as a second flicker value; judging whether the second flicker value is smaller than a preset threshold value or not; and when the second flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value, outputting the current common voltage value.
According to the method for adjusting the common voltage of the display screen, the correction slope is obtained by simulating the Vcom-Flicker curve of the display screen, the accurate correction value is obtained by correcting the slope, and the common voltage value is corrected, so that the better common voltage value can be quickly obtained, the OTP burning time is reduced to be within 10S from 18S to 25S, the OTP burning time is reduced, and the production efficiency is improved.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 1, a method for adjusting a common voltage of a display panel is provided, which includes: s110, acquiring a public voltage value-flicker value curve of the display screen to obtain a correction slope; s120, inputting an initial common voltage value; s130, acquiring a flicker value of the display screen under the current common voltage value as a first flicker value; s140, judging whether the first flicker value is larger than a preset threshold value or not, and calculating to obtain a correction value according to the first flicker value and the correction slope when the first flicker value is larger than the preset threshold value; s150, correcting the initial public voltage value according to the initial public voltage value and the correction value to obtain a first public voltage value, and taking the first public voltage value as a current public voltage value; s160, acquiring a flicker value of the display screen at the current common voltage value as a second flicker value; s170, judging whether the second flicker value is smaller than a preset threshold value; and S180, outputting the current common voltage value when the second flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value.
Specifically, a common voltage value-Flicker value curve of a display screen, that is, a Vcom-Flicker curve of a display screen, which can be obtained by measuring a certain number of samples, it should be understood that, as shown in fig. 5, for the same item, that is, the collocation of chips (ICs) and display card settings (pannel) of the same series of display screens is certain, although the common voltage values and Flicker values of different display screens have different corresponding relationships, the proportions thereof are similar, that is, the Vcom-Flicker curves are similar, that is, in the case that the common voltage values of different display screens have certain change values, the corresponding change values of the Flicker values are also similar, and the Vcom-Flicker curves are substantially arranged in two straight lines, so that the slope of the straight lines is obtained by fitting the common voltage value-Flicker curves of the display screens into two straight lines, and the slope of the straight lines fitted by the common voltage value-Flicker curves of different display screens is also similar. In addition, the correction is carried out according to the slope, namely, the minimum value of the flicker value is taken as a zero point, and the current flicker value is divided by the slope to accurately obtain the correction value so as to shorten the time for searching a better common voltage value. In one embodiment, the step of calculating a correction value according to the first flicker value and the correction slope comprises dividing the first flicker value by the correction slope. And calculating to obtain a correction value.
Specifically, fitting refers to knowing a plurality of discrete function values { f1, f2, …, fn } of a certain function, and adjusting a plurality of coefficients f (λ 1, λ 2, …, λ n) to be determined in the function so that the difference (least square meaning) between the function and a known point set is minimum. Because the Vcom-Flicker curve of the display screen is approximately two symmetrical straight lines and is fitted into two straight lines, the fitted straight lines are closer to the original Vcom-Flicker curve, the error is smaller, the correction of the common voltage value is facilitated, the correction accuracy can be improved, and in addition, the slopes of the fitted two straight lines are also approximately two opposite numbers, so that the slope of at least one straight line can be used as the correction slope, namely the slope of one straight line can be used as the correction slope, and the slope can be a positive slope or a negative slope, so that more accurate correction values can be obtained to correct the common voltage value.
Specifically, the current common voltage value is the currently input common voltage value, and it can be understood that in this embodiment, the common voltage of the display screen is adjusted, each adjustment step changes the magnitude of the input common voltage value, and the current common voltage value is the common voltage value input in this step, for example, when the second flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value, the current common voltage value is output, and no subsequent step is executed, and the current common voltage value at this time is the first common voltage value.
Specifically, in the display screen common voltage adjusting method of the embodiment, the slope of the fitting straight line is used as the correction slope to obtain the correction value, the common voltage value is corrected, and the appropriate common voltage value can be obtained through adjustment for 6 times at most, so that compared with the time for searching the common voltage value by the traditional three-point method and the full-measurement method, the time is reduced by more than 8S, that is, the OTP burning time can be reduced from 18S to 25S to within 10S, so that the appropriate common voltage value can be obtained quickly, and the production efficiency is improved.
According to the display screen common voltage adjusting method, the correction slope is obtained through the Vcom-Flicker curve of the display screen, the accurate correction value is obtained through the correction slope, and the common voltage value is corrected, so that the better common voltage value can be quickly obtained, the OTP burning time is reduced to be within 10S from 18S to 25S, the OTP burning time is reduced, and the production efficiency is improved.
In one embodiment, the step of obtaining a common voltage value-flicker value curve of the display screen to obtain a correction slope includes: and obtaining a public voltage value-flicker value curve of the display screen, fitting the public voltage value-flicker value curve into two straight lines, and obtaining the correction slope according to the slope of at least one straight line. Specifically, the Vcom-Flicker curve is approximately set in two straight lines, so that the common voltage value-Flicker value curve of the display screen is fitted into the two straight lines to obtain the slope of the straight lines as the correction slope; the slope of the line to which the common voltage value-flicker value curves are fitted is also similar for different display screens. In addition, the correction is carried out according to the slope, namely, the minimum value of the flicker value is used as a zero point, and the current flicker value is divided by the slope to accurately obtain a correction value so as to shorten the time for searching a better common voltage value.
In order to improve the accuracy of the common voltage correction value, in one embodiment, the obtaining a common voltage value-flicker value curve of the display screen, fitting the common voltage value-flicker value curve into two straight lines, and obtaining the correction slope according to the slope of at least one of the straight lines includes: and obtaining a common voltage value-flicker value curve of the display screen, fitting the common voltage value-flicker value curve into two straight lines, obtaining the slopes of the two straight lines, and calculating the average value of the absolute values of the slopes of the two straight lines to obtain the correction slope.
Specifically, because the two straight lines to be synthesized are approximately symmetrical, that is, the absolute values of the slopes of the two straight lines are different, the corrected slopes are obtained by averaging the absolute values of the two straight lines, so that the calculated corrected value is more accurate, and the accuracy of the corrected value of the common voltage is improved.
In order to further improve the accuracy of the common voltage correction value, in one embodiment, the obtaining a common voltage value-flicker value curve of the display screen, fitting the common voltage value-flicker value curve into two straight lines, and obtaining a correction slope according to a slope of at least one of the straight lines includes: the method comprises the steps of obtaining public voltage value-flicker value curves of a plurality of display screens, fitting each public voltage value-flicker value curve into two straight lines, obtaining slopes of the two straight lines as a first slope and a second slope, and calculating an average value of absolute values of the first slopes and the second slopes to obtain the correction slope. The Vcom-Flicker curves of the plurality of display screens are obtained, and the average value of the absolute values of the linear slopes of the Vcom-Flicker curves is obtained to serve as the correction slope, so that the calculated correction slope can better meet the requirements of the plurality of display screens, the large difference of the common voltage value-Flicker value curves of the individual display screens can be avoided, and the interference on the correction value can be avoided, and the accuracy of the common voltage correction value can be further improved.
In one embodiment, the step of determining whether the first flicker value is greater than a preset threshold, and when the first flicker value is greater than the preset threshold, calculating a correction value according to the first flicker value and the correction slope further includes: and when the first flicker value is smaller than or equal to the preset threshold value, outputting the current common voltage value. In one embodiment, the step of determining whether the first flicker value is greater than a preset threshold, and when the first flicker value is greater than the preset threshold, calculating a correction value according to the first flicker value and the correction slope further includes: and when the first flicker value is smaller than or equal to the preset threshold value, outputting the current public voltage value and updating the times of outputting the current public voltage value. Specifically, the current common voltage value at this time is an initial common voltage value, and when the first flicker value is less than or equal to a preset threshold, it indicates that the flicker value of the display screen under the initial common voltage value meets the requirement, that is, the input initial common voltage value is a better common voltage value, and the current common voltage value is output without correcting the input initial common voltage value.
In one embodiment, the step of correcting the initial common voltage value according to the initial common voltage value and the correction value to obtain a first common voltage value, and taking the first common voltage value as a current common voltage value includes: and obtaining the first common voltage value according to the sum of the initial common voltage value and the correction value, and taking the first common voltage value as the current common voltage value. It should be noted that, according to the difference between the positive and negative values of the selected slope, the corresponding correction value may be a positive value or a negative value, so that the initial common voltage value and the correction value are summed, and the common voltage value can be adjusted left and right to obtain a suitable common voltage value.
In order to improve the efficiency of searching for the suitable common voltage value, in one embodiment, referring to fig. 2, after the step of determining whether the second flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold, the method further includes: s171, when the second flicker value is greater than or equal to the preset threshold, judging whether the second flicker value is greater than the first flicker value; and S172, when the second flicker value is smaller than or equal to the first flicker value, taking the current common voltage value as the initial common voltage value, and executing the step of inputting the initial common voltage value. Specifically, the step of inputting the initial common voltage value is performed, that is, the first common voltage value is used as the initial common voltage value, since the input initial common voltage value is not determined to fall on which half of the common voltage value-flicker value curve, that is, the input initial common voltage value is not determined to fall on which of the two straight lines is fitted, when the second flicker value under the adjusted common voltage value is still greater than the preset threshold value, it is possible to determine which of the two straight lines the adjusted common voltage value is on by judging whether the second flicker value is greater than the first flicker value, for example, when the correction value is a positive number, since the calculation of the first common voltage value is obtained by summing the initial common voltage value and the correction value, when the second flicker value is less than or equal to the first flicker value, it is described that the initial common voltage value is on the straight line with a negative slope, that is on the left straight line, at this time, it is necessary to continue to increase the input common voltage value, and therefore, when the current common voltage value is used as the initial common voltage value, it is possible to continue to increase the adjustment efficiency.
In order to further improve the efficiency of finding the suitable common voltage value, in one embodiment, referring to fig. 3, after the step of determining whether the second flicker value is greater than the first flicker value when the second flicker value is greater than or equal to the preset threshold, the method further includes: s1711, when the second flicker value is larger than the first flicker value, obtaining a second common voltage value according to the difference between the initial common voltage value and the correction value, and taking the second common voltage value as the current common voltage value; s1712, obtaining a third flicker value according to the flicker value of the display screen at the second common voltage value; s1713, judging whether the third flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value; and S1714, when the third flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value, outputting the current common voltage value. In one embodiment, when the third flicker value is less than the preset threshold value; the step of outputting the current common voltage value includes: and when the third flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value, outputting the current public voltage value and updating the times of outputting the current public voltage value. Specifically, when the third flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold, the current common voltage value is output, and the current common voltage value at this time is a second common voltage value. When the second flicker value is greater than the first flicker value, it indicates that there is a deviation in the adjustment direction search, and it needs to perform reverse adjustment, that is, according to the difference between the initial common voltage value and the correction value, obtain a second common voltage value, and determine whether the third flicker value of the display screen under the second common voltage value is smaller than the preset threshold, for example, when the correction value is a positive number, because the calculation of the first common voltage value is obtained according to the sum of the initial common voltage value and the correction value, when the second flicker value is greater than the first flicker value, it indicates that the initial common voltage value is on a straight line with a positive slope, that is, on a straight line on the right side, at this time, the initial common voltage value needs to be decreased, so as to further improve the efficiency of searching for a suitable common voltage value.
In order to further improve the efficiency of finding the suitable common voltage value, in one embodiment, referring to fig. 3, after the step of determining whether the third flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold, the method further includes: s1715, when the third flicker value is greater than or equal to the preset threshold, further determining whether the third flicker value is greater than the first flicker value; s1716 executes the step of outputting the initial voltage value when the third flicker value is less than or equal to the first flicker value. Specifically, when the third flicker value is smaller than the first flicker value, it indicates that the adjusted second common voltage value still falls on the straight line, for example, when the correction value is a positive number, since the calculation of the first common voltage value is obtained by summing the initial common voltage value and the correction value, when the second flicker value is larger than the first flicker value, it indicates that the initial common voltage value is on the straight line with a positive slope, i.e., on the right straight line, and when the flicker value corresponding to the reduced common voltage value is still smaller than the first flicker value, the operation of reducing the common voltage value is continued, so as to further improve the efficiency of finding a suitable common voltage value.
In order to avoid that it takes too long to find the common voltage value due to the abnormality of the individual display screens, in one embodiment, after the step of further determining whether the third flicker value is greater than the first flicker value when the third flicker value is greater than or equal to the preset threshold, the method further includes: and S1717, when the third flicker value is larger than the first flicker value, determining the common voltage value corresponding to the minimum flicker value of the display screen according to a full-scale or three-point method, and not executing the subsequent steps. Specifically, for a normal display screen, when judging whether the second flicker value is smaller than the first flicker value, it is determined whether the input current common voltage value falls on one of two straight lines, and when the third flicker value is larger than the first flicker value, it is indicated that the display screen is abnormal, which is not suitable for being adjusted by the adjustment method of this embodiment.
In order to make the input initial common voltage value closer to a preferred common voltage value, in one embodiment, the step of outputting the current common voltage value when the second flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value comprises: when the second flicker value is smaller than the preset threshold value, outputting the current public voltage value, and updating the times of outputting the current public voltage value; before the step of inputting the initial common voltage value, the method further comprises: and judging whether the times of outputting the current public voltage is greater than a preset time, and when the times of outputting the public voltage is greater than the preset time, taking the stored mode of the current public voltage value as the initial public voltage value.
