Abstract
The connector protection device of the present invention includes: a base plate; two connectors, which are arranged on the bottom plate; two pivots assembled on the bottom plate; the protective cover is provided with a connecting part and two cover bodies, the connecting part is assembled on the pivot, and each cover body corresponds to one connector; two torsional springs, set up on the pivot separately, and one end is supported against the bottom plate, another end is supported against the interconnecting piece, the torsional spring applies force to the interconnecting piece, make these lids of bodies tend to cover on these connectors; and the pressing key is arranged between the two cover bodies, one end of the pressing key is propped against the connecting part, and when the pressing key is pressed down, the pressing key pushes the connecting part to pivot reversely so as to drive the cover bodies to pivot reversely to expose the connectors. The connector protection device is quite convenient to use, can properly protect the connector, avoids the damage of the connector caused by collision, and can prevent dust from accumulating in the connector.

An electronic device used as a Docking station (Docking) is provided, which can be used as a bridge between a desktop computer and a mobile device, and the Docking station includes a housing, a connector and an electronic circuit module. The electronic circuit module is arranged in the shell and is connected with the desktop computer through a signal wire. The connector is connected with the electronic circuit module, and the connector is fixed on the shell and is exposed out of the shell. The mobile device such as a notebook computer or a tablet computer can be installed on the docking station, and the corresponding connection interface on the mobile device can be connected with the connector of the docking station. Therefore, the mobile device can be in signal connection with the desktop computer through the expansion seat.
For convenience of use, the connector on the docking station is normally exposed outside the housing. When the mobile device is installed, a user only needs to align the connection interface of the mobile device with the connector of the docking station, and then slightly applies force to press down the mobile device, so that the mobile device is installed on the docking station and connected with the connector. When the mobile device is detached, the user can pull up the expansion seat by applying a slight force to remove the mobile device.
However, the exposed connector is not protected and is easily damaged by a collision. In addition, dust can easily accumulate in the connector, and excessive dust can adversely affect the electrical connection between the connector and the mobile device, resulting in unstable signals or connection failure.
In view of the above, there is a need to develop a connector protection device to solve the above-mentioned problems of easy damage and dust falling of the exposed connector.

In order to achieve the above object, a connector protection device according to the present invention includes:
a base plate;
two connectors, which are arranged on the bottom plate;
two pivots assembled on the bottom plate;
the protective cover is provided with a connecting part and two cover bodies, the connecting part is assembled on the pivot, and each cover body corresponds to one connector;
two torsional springs, set up on the pivot separately, and one end is supported against the bottom plate, another end is supported against the interconnecting piece, the torsional spring applies force to the interconnecting piece, make these lids of bodies tend to cover on these connectors;
the pressing key is arranged between the two cover bodies, one end of the pressing key is propped against the connecting part, and when the pressing key is pressed down, the pressing key pushes the connecting part to pivot reversely, so that the cover bodies are driven to pivot reversely to expose the connectors;
the two positioning columns are arranged on the bottom plate and are respectively positioned between the two connectors and the pressing key;
the limiting part is positioned between the two connectors, the pressing key is movably arranged in the limiting part, the limiting part and the connecting part are connected with the pivot, and the connecting part is arranged to rotate by taking the pivot as an axis.
Optionally, the limiting portion includes a limiting post, and the pressing key is sleeved on the limiting post.
Optionally, the limiting portion further includes two side plates and a bridging plate, the bridging plate is located between the two side plates, the two side plates are connected with the bottom plate, and the limiting column is disposed on the bridging plate.

Fig. 1 to 6 are schematic views showing a state of a connector protection device according to the present invention in fig. 1, fig. 2 is a schematic view showing another state of the connector protection device according to the present invention, fig. 3 is a front view of fig. 2, fig. 4 is an exploded schematic view of the connector protection device according to the present invention, fig. 5 is a schematic view showing a state of the connector protection device according to the present invention in an electronic device, and fig. 6 is a schematic view showing another state of the connector protection device according to the present invention in the electronic device.
In the embodiment, the connector protection device of the invention is applied to an electronic device 10, and the electronic device 10 is an expansion seat of a mobile device, but is not limited thereto. The electronic device 10 includes a connector protection device 100 and a housing 20, the connector protection device 100 includes a connector 101, and the connector 101 is fixed to the housing 20 and exposed from the housing 20. In addition, the connector 101 may be further connected to an electronic circuit module (not shown) disposed inside the housing 20. A mobile device (e.g., a notebook computer) corresponding to the electronic device 10 can be placed on the housing 20 of the electronic device 10, and the connection interface of the mobile device can be connected to the connector 101, so that the mobile device is electrically connected to the electronic circuit module inside the housing 20. The connector protection device 100 includes:
a chassis 102, the chassis 102 being secured within the housing 20 of the electronic device 10;
two connectors 101 assembled on the bottom plate 102 and exposed from the housing 20;
two pivots 103 assembled on the bottom plate 102;
a protective cover 104 having a connecting portion 105 and two cover bodies 106, wherein the connecting portion 105 is disposed on the pivot 103, and each cover body 106 corresponds to one of the connectors 101;
two torsion springs 107 respectively assembled on the pivot 103, wherein one end of each torsion spring abuts against the bottom plate 102, the other end of each torsion spring abuts against the connecting portion 105, and the torsion springs 107 apply force to the connecting portion 105, so that the cover bodies 106 are inclined to cover the connectors 101;
a pressing key 108 disposed between the two covers 106, wherein one end of the pressing key 108 abuts against the connecting portion 105, and when the pressing key 108 is pressed down, the pressing key 108 pushes the connecting portion 105 to pivot reversely, so as to drive the covers 106 to pivot reversely to expose the connectors 101;
two positioning posts 109 are disposed on the bottom plate 102, and the two positioning posts 109 are respectively located between the two connectors 101 and the pressing key 108, when the user aligns the mobile device with the connectors 101 and places the mobile device on the housing 20, the positioning posts 109 enter the positioning holes, and the positioning posts 109 and the positioning holes cooperate with each other to facilitate positioning of the mobile device and the electronic device 10. In this way, the mobile device can move towards the predetermined direction through the positioning post to avoid deviation, so as to reliably contact and press the pressing key 108, and the connection interface of the mobile device can also be reliably aligned and connected with the connector 101;
a position-limiting part 110, the position-limiting part 110 is located between the two connectors 101, the pressing key 108 is movably disposed in the position-limiting part 110, the position-limiting part 110 and the connecting part 105 are connected to the pivot 103, and the connecting part 105 is configured to rotate around the pivot 103.
In a preferred embodiment, the position-limiting portion 110 includes a position-limiting post 111, and the pressing key 108 is sleeved on the position-limiting post 111, and the position-limiting post 111 plays a guiding role.
In a preferred embodiment, the position-limiting portion 110 further includes two side plates 112 and a bridging plate 113, the bridging plate 113 is located between the two side plates 112, the two side plates 112 are connected to the bottom plate 102, and the position-limiting column 111 is disposed on the bridging plate 113.
In a preferred embodiment, the connecting portion 105 includes two arms 114, the two pivots 103 are respectively connected to the two arms 114, and the pressing key 108 is located between the two arms 114 and the two pivots 103.
In a preferred embodiment, the supporting arm 114 includes a protrusion 115, the torsion spring 107 is sleeved on the pivot 103, and one end of the torsion spring 107 surrounds the protrusion 115, i.e. the elastic restoring force generated by the torsion spring 107 is applied to the connecting portion 105 through the protrusion 115.
Please refer to fig. 1 and 5 again, wherein the state in fig. 1 and 5 is the state in which the pressed key 108 is not pressed. When the pressing key 108 is not pressed, the pressing key 108 is pushed toward the outside of the housing 20, so that the pressing key 108 extends out of the housing 20 to the maximum extent, one end of the torsion spring 107 abuts against the bottom plate 102, and the other end of the torsion spring 107 abuts against the connecting portion 105. The torsion spring 107 is configured to continuously generate an elastic restoring force due to the elastic deformation, and the elastic restoring force is continuously applied to the connecting portion 105, so that the connecting portion 105 drives the two covers 106, and the two covers 106 tend to cover the connectors 101. That is, in a normal state where the whole system is not subjected to an external force, the cover 106 is continuously stressed by the torsion spring 107 and is maintained in the closed position to cover the connector 101, so as to prevent the connector 101 from being damaged by a collision and prevent dust from accumulating inside the connector 101.
Referring to fig. 2 and 6 again, the state shown in fig. 2 and 6 is a state where the pressing key 108 is pressed, when the connector 101 is needed, the pressing key 108 is pressed, and the pressing key 108 pushes the connecting portion 105 to pivot the connecting portion 105 reversely relative to the pivot 103, so as to drive the covers 106 to pivot reversely and expose the connectors 101; at this time, as shown in fig. 6, the cover 106 is reversely pivoted to be retracted into the housing 20, that is, the cover 106 is in the open position, and the connector 101 is completely uncovered and exposed to receive a further connection of the connection interface of the mobile device.
Compared with the prior art, the connector protection device of the invention has the advantages that by arranging the protection cover 104, when the connector 101 is required to be used, the pressing key 108 is pressed, the pressing key 108 pushes the connecting part 105 to pivot reversely, so as to drive the cover bodies 106 to pivot reversely to expose the connectors 101, when the connector 101 is not required to be used, the torsion spring 107 applies force to the connecting part 105, so that the cover bodies 106 tend to cover the connectors 101, the use is quite convenient, the connector 101 can be properly protected, the connector 101 is prevented from being damaged due to collision, and dust can be prevented from accumulating in the connector 101.
Claims (5)
1. A connector protection device, comprising:
a base plate;
two connectors, which are arranged on the bottom plate;
two pivots assembled on the bottom plate;
the protective cover is provided with a connecting part and two cover bodies, the connecting part is assembled on the pivot, and each cover body corresponds to one connector;
two torsional springs, set up on the pivot separately, and one end is supported against the bottom plate, another end is supported against the interconnecting piece, the torsional spring applies force to the interconnecting piece, make these lids of bodies tend to cover on these connectors;
the pressing key is arranged between the two cover bodies, one end of the pressing key is propped against the connecting part, and when the pressing key is pressed down, the pressing key pushes the connecting part to pivot reversely, so that the cover bodies are driven to pivot reversely to expose the connectors;
the two positioning columns are arranged on the bottom plate and are respectively positioned between the two connectors and the pressing key;
the limiting part is positioned between the two connectors, the pressing key is movably arranged in the limiting part, the limiting part and the connecting part are connected with the pivot, and the connecting part is arranged to rotate by taking the pivot as an axis.
2. The connector protection device of claim 1, wherein the position-limiting portion comprises a position-limiting post, and the pressing key is sleeved on the position-limiting post.

The connector protection device of claim 2, wherein the position-limiting portion further comprises two side plates and a bridging plate, the bridging plate is located between the two side plates, the two side plates are connected to the bottom plate, and the position-limiting post is disposed on the bridging plate.
4. The connector protection device of claim 1, wherein the connecting portion comprises two arms, the two pivots are respectively connected to the two arms, and the push key is located between the two arms and the two pivots.
5. The connector protection device of claim 4, wherein the arm includes a post, the torsion spring is disposed around the pivot, and one end of the torsion spring surrounds the post.
