Description

High-strength pressure-bearing plugging agent for well drilling and application thereof
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of petroleum drilling engineering plugging, and particularly relates to a high-strength pressure-bearing plugging agent for drilling and application thereof.
Background
With the high-speed development of the economic society, the energy demand is continuously increased, the recovery ratio is continuously improved along with the continuous development of oil and gas resources in shallow strata, the content of residual oil is gradually reduced, and the exploration of new oil and gas resources is shifted to the development of deeper strata. In recent years, large oil and gas fields found in China and oil and gas fields in middle and sub-regions cooperating with foreign countries are deep-seated. In the oil and gas exploration and development, the drilling of the stratum is more and more complex, the collapse and leakage caused by the expansion and collapse necking of the shale stratum exist together, and the blowout and leakage problems caused by multiple sets of pressure layer systems exist in the same open hole section, so that the safety density window of the drilling fluid is narrow in the drilling process. The drilling fluid density is reduced to easily cause well collapse or overflow, the drilling fluid density is increased to cause leakage, the adjustable range of the drilling fluid density is extremely small, and the drilling safety construction is greatly influenced.
The method is an important means for expanding the upper limit of a drilling fluid safety density window and ensuring safe drilling under the condition of a narrower safety density window in the current oil and gas drilling engineering. The pressure-bearing plugging agent is added into the drilling fluid to plug cracks, micro cracks and pores in a weak stratum, and the improvement of the stratum breakage and leakage prevention capability is a main way for improving the stratum pressure-bearing capability. The pressure-bearing plugging agent enters the cracks to form a plugging partition wall and support the crack surface, and additional circumferential stress is generated around the well, so that the pressure of stratum secondary fracture is improved, and the aim of improving the pressure-bearing capacity of the stratum is fulfilled.
At present, the main components of the plugging agent for improving the pressure bearing capacity of the stratum are mineral and shell granular materials, such as calcium carbonate, marble particles, quartz sand, walnut shells and the like. However, mineral granular materials are generally brittle and are very easy to break under the action of pressure, and the breaking of the granular materials can directly cause the formed pressure-bearing plugging layer to be damaged and fail. In SPE Drilling & completing 2014,29(03): 323-328 'On the Shear depletion of Lost-circulation materials', it is reported that mineral particle materials are easy to be crushed in the process of pressure-bearing leak stoppage, and particularly, in the process of pumping the leak stoppage slurry into a well, the size of the mineral particle materials is changed due to collision friction among particles and between the particles and a Drilling tool, so that the effect of pressure-bearing leak stoppage construction is influenced.
The other kind of pressure-bearing leak-stopping shell is hard and not easy to break in natural state. However, under the action of the drilling fluid soaking and the high temperature of the stratum, the shell materials are easy to soften and carbonize, so that the formed plugging layer is damaged, and the pressure-bearing plugging effect is also influenced. Therefore, the research on the high-performance pressure-bearing plugging agent has important significance for effectively improving the pressure-bearing capacity of the stratum and ensuring the safe drilling of the stratum with a narrow safe density window.

Figure BDA0001788164240000101
Note: the amount of the plugging slurry for a single experiment is 4000 mL; the bearing value is more than or equal to 8MPa, which means that the plugging layer is not damaged when the pressure is increased to 8MPa, and the experimental pressure is not increased continuously for the safety.
The experimental result data in the table 1 show that the high-strength pressure-bearing plugging agent can effectively plug a crack leaking layer, a compact plugging section with a certain length is formed in the leaking layer, and the formed plugging layer can bear the pressure of more than 8 MPa. The traditional plugging material can form a resident in a crack, but a formed resident slug is broken down along with the increase of pressure, the pressure bearing value of the traditional plugging material is obviously lower than that of the plugging agent, the plugging slurry is finally and completely lost, and an effective resident slug is not formed in the crack. The PPS plastic particles have high strength, wear resistance and high temperature resistance, the graphite particles have good toughness and compressibility, and after the two materials are combined, the formed leaking stoppage slug has both high strength and good toughness, so that the leaking stoppage slug can effectively resist complicated pressure change at the bottom of a well and improve leaking stoppage timeliness, which is difficult to achieve by the traditional materials.
