Abstract

The invention relates to an umbrella handle and an umbrella comprising the same. The umbrella handle includes: a body portion adapted to be held by a hand; a first connecting portion adapted to be secured to an umbrella pole; and a second connecting portion adapted to detachably engage a tool bit, wherein the first and second connecting portions are integrally formed at or fixed relative to the main body portion.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to accessories for umbrellas; in particular, the present invention relates to umbrella stems.

Further, the invention also relates to an umbrella comprising the umbrella handle.

Background

Umbrellas typically include a shaft, ribs, nest, and canopy to provide shade (sun), shade (rain), as a decorative (craft), to provide resistance (parachute), etc.

Among these accessories, the stem belongs to the grip on the shaft; the umbrella rod is a main central bone of the whole umbrella and supports the whole umbrella; the umbrella ribs support the whole umbrella cover, can be folded and unfolded usually and are convenient to carry; the umbrella nest realizes folding and unfolding for the umbrella ribs; the canopy is a functional portion for providing, for example, but not limited to, sun shading, rain shading, and the like.

With respect to the shaft, existing umbrellas typically employ a shaft that is integral with the shaft, typically at the end of the shaft opposite the canopy. The umbrella handle can not be replaced after being damaged, and is inconvenient to maintain; often resulting in the user discarding the entire umbrella and causing waste.

Disclosure of Invention

It is an object of one aspect of the invention to provide an improved umbrella handle.

Another aspect of the invention also aims to provide an umbrella comprising the umbrella handle.

To achieve the foregoing object, a first aspect of the present invention provides an umbrella handle, wherein the umbrella handle comprises:

a body portion adapted to be held by a hand;

a first connecting portion adapted to be secured to an umbrella pole; and

a second coupling portion adapted to removably engage a tool bit, wherein,

the first and second connection parts are integrally formed at the body part or fixed with respect to the body part.

Optionally, in an umbrella handle as described above, the umbrella handle comprises a lighting device.

Optionally, in an umbrella handle as described above, an electric drive mechanism is provided within the umbrella handle, the output shaft of the electric drive mechanism being adapted to engage and drive a drive rod within the umbrella shaft.

Alternatively, in the umbrella stick as described above, the second connecting portion is formed at the distal end face of the output shaft, adapted to be form-fitted with the distal end head of the drive lever.

Optionally, in the umbrella stick as described above, the electric drive mechanism comprises a battery and a motor, or the electric drive mechanism comprises a battery, a motor and a transmission.

Optionally, in the umbrella handle as described above, the electric drive mechanism is arranged along the extended shape of the umbrella handle.

Optionally, in an umbrella handle as described above, the first connection comprises a thread.

Optionally, in an umbrella handle as described above, the second connecting portion is a male connecting portion.

Optionally, in an umbrella handle as described above, the second connecting portion is a female connecting portion.

In order to achieve the foregoing object, a second aspect of the present invention provides an umbrella, wherein the umbrella comprises an umbrella shaft, and an umbrella handle as set forth in any one of the foregoing first aspects is fixed at the umbrella shaft.

Detailed Description

The following describes in detail a specific embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same reference numerals indicate the same or corresponding features. The figures are only schematic and are not necessarily drawn to scale.

FIG. 1 is a side schematic view of an umbrella handle according to one embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 1, the umbrella handle 1 in this embodiment is a common straight handle, and the cross section of the umbrella handle 1 may be, for example, but not limited to, circular, etc., and may be cylindrical, or may be tapered with a slightly narrower upper end to facilitate holding. In alternative other embodiments, the umbrella handle may take other shapes, such as, but not limited to, a curved handle in the shape of a hook or the like.

The umbrella handle 1 may include a body portion 2 adapted to be held by a hand. For easy handling, the body 2 may be designed with ergonomically adapted shape features.

The umbrella handle 1 has an internally threaded connection 3. According to the illustrated embodiment, the internally threaded connection 3 may be formed at one end of the shaft, extending from the end into the shaft in the longitudinal direction of the shaft. The extension depth can be set according to the needs of specific situations. The internally threaded connection 3 is adapted to detachably secure the shaft to an umbrella pole (not shown). In particular, it is possible to form on the outer surface of the end of the shaft a complementary external thread, screwing this end of the shaft into the internal threaded connection 3 when fixing.

In order to make the connection of the shaft to the shaft secure, the female threaded connection 3 may be formed on the inside wall of a metal (e.g. copper) sleeve which is then embedded in the end of the shaft. Therefore, the abrasion of the threaded connection part can be reduced, and the service life is prolonged.

In alternative embodiments, other suitable connection forms may be used instead of the female threaded connection 3. For example, the internal threads may be modified to a snap-fit form. In one embodiment, it is also contemplated that in the case of a larger shaft diameter, the threads of the shaft 1 could be externally disposed and the internal threads of the shaft engaged with the internal threads of the shaft.

These screw-on designs allow the umbrella handle to be easily removed from the umbrella shaft, allowing the two to be stored separately when storage space is limited (e.g., in a car), on the one hand, and replaced at any time when the umbrella handle is damaged, on the other hand.

In alternative embodiments, the shaft may also be permanently affixed to the shaft, such as, but not limited to, adhesive, welding, and the like.

In fig. 1, a female hexagonal coupling portion 4 is formed on the outer side wall of the other end of the umbrella shaft 1. After the umbrella handle is detached from the umbrella shaft, a tool head can be engaged in the female connection portion 4, thereby converting the umbrella handle into a manual tool. For example, the tool bit may be a screwdriver bit or the like, and a screwing operation of a screw can be performed by inserting the screwdriver bit into the female connection portion 4 to form a hand tool. The inner hexagonal connection structure is simple, and the tool head is convenient to replace.

In alternative embodiments, the female connection portion may be a four-corner or other number of inner corners, as desired.

Instead of or in addition to the form of a female connection, the umbrella shaft may also be provided with a male connection, on which other types of tool heads are fitted in a suitable manner. For example, the male connection portion may be the end of the umbrella shaft far from the female connection portion 3, and the end is designed to have a proper shape so that a hammer head or the like can be sleeved thereon to modify the umbrella shaft into a hammer.

In alternative embodiments, other types of tool heads, such as but not limited to a grinding disc (used as a grinding tool) and the like, may be connected to the male and female connection portions according to specific needs, and are not described in detail herein.

In addition, the positions of the concave and convex edges are not limited to the positions described in the embodiments; in practical application, the umbrella handle can be arranged at the inner part, the outer part, the upper part, the middle part, the lower part and the like of the umbrella handle in different forms according to specific requirements, so that the umbrella can be conveniently, smoothly and comfortably held when being supported and tools are operated.

In the case of permanently fixing the shaft to the shaft, the umbrella can then be used as a corresponding tool after the tool head has been fitted.

FIG. 2 is a schematic view of an umbrella handle according to another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 2, the umbrella handle 10 is a curved umbrella handle.

Similarly, the handle 10 also includes a body portion 11 adapted to be held by a hand to facilitate gripping during umbrella opening.

The umbrella shaft is internally provided with a battery (such as but not limited to a lithium battery) 15, a motor 14, and a speed reduction device (not shown) which can be jointly used as an electric driving mechanism. When the electric umbrella is used on the electric umbrella, the output shaft of the electric driving mechanism is jointed with and drives the driving rod in the umbrella rod to provide power for folding and unfolding of the electric umbrella.

A charging port 16 can also be arranged at the umbrella handle 10.

In the embodiment of fig. 2, the electric drive mechanism, i.e. the battery, the motor, the reduction gear, etc., can be arranged along the extension of the shaft, making the shaft very compact.

In alternative embodiments, the umbrella shaft may also be designed in a straight or other shape, which is not described in detail herein. Similarly, the electric drive mechanism may be arranged along a corresponding shape.

One end of the umbrella shaft 10 is provided with an internally threaded connection 12. The stem can be detachably fixed to the shaft (not shown) by the female screw-connecting portion 12. Regarding the structure, modification, and the like of the female connection portion 12, the description with respect to the female connection portion 3 in the embodiment of fig. 1 is equally applicable.

As shown in the drawing, at the distal end face 13 of the output shaft of the electric drive mechanism, specifically, at the distal end face 13 of the output shaft 18 of the motor in the illustrated embodiment, a female connection portion such as a hexagon socket is formed.

The female connection portion is adapted to form fit with the distal head of the drive rod so as to engage the distal head of the drive rod therein.

In this case, as an electric umbrella, after the umbrella handle 10 is mounted on the umbrella rod, the hexagonal end head of the driving rod in the umbrella rod is inserted into the concave connecting part, and the shape matching of the two parts enables the driving rod to be driven to rotate by an electric driving mechanism, and the folding and unfolding of the umbrella cover are realized through the driving rod transmission.

The female connection portion is adapted to removably engage a tool head after the umbrella handle 10 is removed from the umbrella, thereby converting the umbrella handle into a power tool. For example, the tool bit may be a screwdriver bit or the like, which is inserted into the female connection portion, and a screw may be screwed through the umbrella shaft. The tool head may also be, for example, but not limited to, a drill bit, a mill disk, or the like.

In an alternative embodiment, to prevent the tool bit from falling out of the female connection portion, both may be made of a material capable of magnetic attraction.

Regarding the structure, modifications, etc. of the female connection portion, reference may also be made to the description of the female connection portion 4 in connection with the embodiment of fig. 1.

In alternative embodiments, the female connection can also be formed at other locations on the umbrella shaft 10, such as on the outer sidewall, etc. The female connection does not now transmit the power of the electric drive mechanism, so a hand tool will still be obtained.

It can be seen that when the handle 10 is used with a manual umbrella, the electric drive mechanism is used only with an electric power tool, when the female connection is provided on the output shaft of the electric drive mechanism, but not for connecting and driving the drive rod within the umbrella pole; or the handle 10 is used for the power umbrella and the female coupling portion for engaging the tool head is not formed on the output shaft of the electric drive mechanism, it can be used as a hand tool when the handle is detached from the umbrella shaft and the tool head is engaged.

A lighting device 17 is also provided on the handle 10 of fig. 2, for use as a flashlight. Similarly, a lighting device may also be provided in the handle 1 of fig. 1. In specific embodiments, the lighting device may be an LED lamp, or other lighting lamps in common use.

In alternative embodiments, the handle 10 may also be provided with a GPS (global positioning system) and/or micro-speaker assembly that may be connected to a power source to enable tracking and location or alarm, with a wolf-proof function.

In conjunction with the description of fig. 1 and 2 above, one embodiment of the present invention provides an umbrella handle that may include a main body portion, a first connecting portion, and a second connecting portion. The main body portion of the umbrella handle may be adapted to be held by hand. The first connection, such as the female threaded connection 3 in fig. 1 and the female threaded connection 12 in fig. 2, may be adapted to be removably secured to the umbrella pole. The second coupling portion may be adapted to removably engage a tool bit, such as the female coupling portion 4 of fig. 1 and the female coupling portion of fig. 2. The first and second connection portions may be integrally formed at the main body portion or fixed with respect to the main body portion.

In an optional embodiment, the first connection portion of the umbrella handle may also be an external thread, and at this time, the umbrella handle may be directly sleeved on the inner rod, and the inner rod is connected with the inner thread.

In addition, it should be noted herein that it is conceivable to avoid the operations of the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion from interfering with each other. For example, in fig. 2, when the female screw portion 12 and the female hexagonal portion at the distal end surface 13 are used together, the operations of the two portions interfere with each other. In this case, the movement of the ribs may be caused when the handle is detached.

Therefore, in order to avoid such interference, in a modified embodiment, the internal threaded connection 12 may be replaced by another connecting member, such as an internal locking device (e.g., an internal expansion bolt) or an external locking device (e.g., an external locking ring) or the like, which is commonly used to lock telescopic rods, to telescopically and detachably socket the shaft with the inner rod.

Fig. 3 is a schematic view of an umbrella handle according to still another embodiment of the present invention. In addition to the first connection, the figure shows another layout of the battery 15, showing the lighting means 17, the speaker 19, the GPS device 20, the motor 14, etc., and in addition the control buttons of the umbrella, including the down button 21 and the up button 22. In fig. 3 an external locking device is used, comprising an external locking ring 24 which, when screwed onto the external threaded portion 23, locks the shaft to the inner rod of the umbrella.

Further, another embodiment of the present invention provides an umbrella including an umbrella shaft, and the aforementioned umbrella shaft is detachably fixed at the umbrella shaft.

It can be seen that the umbrella handle arranged as above and the umbrella handle arranged as above can be used as the umbrella handle, and can also be used as an electric tool after being detached from the umbrella. In addition, the umbrella handle has the advantages of being easy to store (particularly convenient to store in a storage lattice of a vehicle), easy to replace and the like.

The technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the above description, and those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications to the above-described embodiments without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention, and such changes and modifications should fall within the scope of the present invention.

3. An umbrella handle as defined in claim 1, wherein an electric drive mechanism is provided within the handle, an output shaft of the electric drive mechanism being adapted to engage and drive a drive rod within the umbrella shaft.

4. An umbrella stick as claimed in claim 3, wherein the second connecting portion is formed at a distal end face of the output shaft, adapted to form fit with a distal end head of the drive rod.

5. An umbrella handle as claimed in claim 3 wherein the electrical drive mechanism comprises a battery and an electric motor or the electrical drive mechanism comprises a battery, an electric motor and a gear change.

6. An umbrella handle as defined in claim 5, wherein the electrical drive mechanism is disposed along an extended shape of the umbrella handle.

7. An umbrella handle as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3 wherein the first connection portion comprises a screw thread.

8. An umbrella handle as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3 wherein the second connecting portion is a male connecting portion.

9. An umbrella handle as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3 wherein the second connecting portion is a female connecting portion.

10. An umbrella, characterized in that it comprises an umbrella pole, and at which an umbrella handle as claimed in any one of the preceding claims 1 to 9 is fixed.
