Since the first and second clamping portions 634 and 643 are disposed at intervals and are disposed on the first and second plate portions 61 and 64, respectively, the first and second plate portions 61 and 64 are effectively prevented from being separated, and the four signal cables 5 are prevented from being completely separated by any one of the four signal cables 5.
The electrical connection between the wire cores 51 of the four signal cables 5 and the four first contact portions 24 of the electrical connector of the present invention may be that the wire cores 51 are pressed into the receiving grooves 182 by the spacing portions 181 and the pressing portions 44 of the fixing plate 4 to be press-fitted with the first contact portions 24, and in addition, the electrical connection between the second contact portion 25 of the ground terminal G of the electrical connector 100, the first grounding portion 33 of the shielding shell 3, the first plate body portion 61 of the metal shell 6, the second plate body portion 64 and the shielding layer 53 of the signal cable 5 may also be press-fitted, so as to reduce the manufacturing cost and facilitate the production. The fixing mode can also be fixed by welding modes such as SMT, laser welding and the like, and the aim of the invention can also be achieved.
The ten conductive terminals 2 are fixed in the insulating body 1 by injection molding of the insulating body 1, so that each conductive terminal 2 is not damaged by being pulled by the cable 5. Furthermore, two ground terminals G are disposed between two adjacent signal terminals S, so that signal interference between the two signal terminals S can be effectively prevented. Furthermore, the metal shell 6 is electrically connected to the shielding layer 53 of the cable 5, so that the metal shell 6 can protect the components in the accommodating space 600 from being damaged by external impact, and can also perform a good shielding function on the components accommodated in the accommodating space 600, thereby ensuring the stability of signal transmission, and being particularly beneficial to the transmission of high-frequency signals. Further, since the ground terminal G, the shield case 3, and the metal shell 6 are all electrically connected to the shield layer 53 of the cable 5, the number of cables for electrical connection to ground can be reduced, which leads to cost reduction and a simple structure.
Referring to fig. 17, the docking connector 7 mated with the electrical connector 100 of the present invention is electrically connected to a circuit board 700. The butting connector 7 includes an insulator 71, ten butting terminals 8 held on the insulator 71 and arranged corresponding to the ten conductive terminals 2, and a metal shell 9 held outside the insulator 71.
The insulator 71 includes a base 72, an annular abutment wall 721 projecting upwardly from the base 72 and having an abutment slot 722.
The ten mating terminals 8 are arranged in the same manner as the ten conductive terminals 2. Each of the second terminals includes a fixing portion (not shown) held in the insulator 71, an elastic portion 81 extending from one end of the fixing portion (not shown) to be suspended in the mating groove 722 in a u shape, and a solder leg 82 extending from the other end of the fixing portion (not shown) to the base portion 72.
The metal housing 9 includes a frame 91 wrapped outside the annular abutting wall 721 and a second grounding pin 92 formed by bending a lower edge of the frame 91.
The insulator 71 and the metal shell 9 are integrally injection-molded. The ten counterpart terminals 8 are inserted into the insulator 71.
When the electrical connector 100 is mated with the mating connector 7, the mating protrusion 13 is inserted into the mating groove 722 to electrically connect the ten conductive terminals 2 and the ten mating terminals 8, the annular mating wall 721 and the frame 91 are integrally inserted into the first space 31, and the outer surface of the frame 91 abuts against the inner surface of the frame 32 of the shielding housing 3. At this time, the conductive terminals 2 and the mating terminals 8 are surrounded by the shielding shell 3 and the metal shell 6 to ensure that the conductive terminals are not interfered by external signals.
In the above preferred embodiments of the present invention, the number of the conductive terminals and the number of the butt terminals can be increased or decreased, and only the ground terminal G is required to be disposed between two adjacent signal terminals S.
The above description is only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all embodiments, and any equivalent variations of the technical solutions of the present invention, which are made by those skilled in the art through reading the present specification, are covered by the claims of the present invention.
