The GIS is a high-voltage distribution device formed by combining 7 high-voltage electric appliances including a short-circuit device, a bus, an isolating switch, a voltage transformer, a current transformer, a lightning arrester and a sleeve, wherein the GIS adopts sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6) gas with excellent insulating property and arc extinguishing property as an insulating and arc extinguishing medium, and seals all high-voltage electric appliance elements in a grounding metal cylinder, so that compared with the traditional open-type distribution device, the GIS has the advantages of small floor area, no environmental interference on the sealing of all the elements, high operation reliability, convenience in operation, long overhaul period, small maintenance workload, rapidness in installation, low operation cost, no electromagnetic interference and the like.
The GIS transformer substation has the following advantages:
(a) the floor area is small, and the floor area of the general 220 kV GIS equipment is 37 percent of that of the conventional equipment; the 110kV GIS equipment occupies about 46 percent of the floor area of conventional equipment, accords with the basic national policy of land conservation in China, and reduces expensive early-stage expenses such as land acquisition, removal, compensation and the like.
(b) Because the elements of the GIS equipment are totally enclosed, the GIS equipment is not influenced by environments such as pollution, salt fog, moisture and the like. The conductive part shell of GIS equipment shields, and ground connection is good, and radiation, electric field interference, the noise that the circuit breaker cut-off that the electric conductor produced have all been shielded by the shell, and GIS equipment is firmly installed on basic built-in fitting moreover, and the product focus is low, and intensity is high, has good shock resistance, especially is fit for using at city center or residential block. The GIS equipment has strong universality of various elements, adopts a building block type structure, is assembled in a transportation unit and is transported to a construction site to be positioned and fixed. The workload of field installation is reduced by about 80 percent compared with the conventional equipment.
However, the lead of the high-voltage input and output terminal of the GIS is an exposed conductor, and when an overhaul person needs to work on the GIS equipment shell, a corresponding safety distance should be kept with the lead, but when the overhaul person climbs on the GIS equipment shell, the exposed high-voltage electrified conductor is very easy to approach, and personal electric shock accidents are caused.
