The general concept of this embodiment is to provide a new technical method for video playing, which obtains video evaluation information related to a video when the video is played, and displays the video evaluation information to a user through a video playing interface, so that the user can quickly know the content quality of the currently played video, and the video watching experience of the user is enriched.
< first embodiment >
< method >
In this embodiment, a video playing method is provided, which is implemented by a client. The client may be any electronic device having a display device and capable of providing video playing services, for example, a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a notebook computer, a desktop computer, and the like. In one example, client 1200 may be as shown in FIG. 1. The client may also be a client of an application that may be loaded or installed to run in the electronic device.
As shown in fig. 2, the video playing method includes: steps S2100-S2300.
In step S2100, a video playing interface for playing a video is provided.
The video playing interface is a human-computer interaction interface which provides corresponding video playing services by receiving human-computer interaction operations, for example, a system service interface which can provide video playing functions by an operating system of the electronic device, or an application interface of an application program which supports playing videos.
In this embodiment, the video playing interface may be provided by calling a system function provided by an operating system of the client, or the video playing interface may be provided by calling an application program supporting playing of a video, which is installed or loaded by the client, and this is not to be enumerated here.
Step S2200 is that when the video playing operation of the target video is received through the video playing interface, the video evaluation information of the target video is obtained.
The video playing operation is an interactive operation which is implemented on a video playing interface to trigger the video to be played. The video playing operation on the target video can be an option of clicking the target video, an option of checking the target video, or other predefined operations that can trigger the target video to be played.
The video rating information is rating information related to the quality of video content.
In this embodiment, the video rating information at least includes a video score of each video segment included in the target video. The video score is used to evaluate the content quality of the video segment.
The video rating information may also include other information depending on the particular application scenario or application requirements. For example, the video rating information may also include a video clip preference indication for the target video by the target user performing the video playback operation. The video segment preference indication is used to indicate the attractiveness of the corresponding video segment to the target user.
In one example, the step of obtaining video rating information of the target video comprises:
and sending a request to a server to acquire the video evaluation information of the target video.
By requesting the server to acquire the video evaluation information of the target video, the server can generate the video evaluation information of the target video in advance or when receiving the request and then provide the video evaluation information to the client, so that the client is prevented from generating the video evaluation information of the target video by itself, the realization complexity of the client is reduced, the processing resource consumption of the client is reduced, and the method is particularly suitable for scenes with limited client performance.
In another example, the step of obtaining video rating information of the target video comprises:
and reading the video evaluation information of the target video from the local storage.
The client side directly reads the video evaluation information of the target video from the local storage without requesting the server for obtaining the video evaluation information in real time, communication interruption or delay possibly existing in interaction with the server is avoided, processing time consumption can be reduced, processing smoothness is improved, and the method and the device are particularly suitable for scenes with good client side performance or poor communication environments.
In this example, the provided video playing method further includes a step of generating video rating information of the target video, including: steps S22011-S22012.
Step S22011, dividing the target video into a plurality of video segments according to the preset video segment length.
The video frequency band length may be preset according to a specific application scenario or application requirements, for example, set to 1 second.
In practical application, the video duration of the target video may be longer, and in order to avoid dividing more video segments according to the preset video frequency band length, and to enable more processing resources to generate the corresponding video evaluation information of the target video, in this example, the method may further include:
when the duration of the target video is greater than a preset duration threshold, dividing the target video into a preset number of video segments.
The video duration threshold and the number of segments may be preset according to a specific application scenario or application requirements, for example, the video duration threshold is set to 4 hours, the number of segments is set to 9000, and for a target video with a duration of 5 hours, the duration of each video segment obtained by dividing is 2 seconds.
Step S22012, acquiring a history playing record of the target video, acquiring a video score of each video segment of the target video according to the history playing record, and storing the video scores in a local storage.
The history record is a history record of the target video being played, and may include the number of times the target video is operated to be played, the start time of the operated to be played, the playing time length of each operated to be played, the pause time of each operated to be fast-forwarded, and the like.
The step of obtaining the video score of each video segment of the target video according to the historical playing record may include: steps S220121-S220122.
Step S220121, obtaining the total playing times of the target video and the playing times of each video segment of the target video according to the history playing record.
Recording each time the target video is operated and played as one-time integral playing of the target video, wherein the times of the target video operated and played in the historical playing record of the target video can be used as the integral playing times of the target video;
for each video clip, according to the playing time length of each target video in the historical playing record of the target video, the playing frequency of each video clip within the playing time length is correspondingly added with 1, so that the playing frequency of each video clip is obtained. Furthermore, the corresponding playing times of the video clips which fall within the playing time length but are not actually played can not be calculated according to the pause time of the fast forward operation of the historical playing record of the target video during each playing.
Step S220122, determining a video score of each video segment of the target video according to the overall playing times of the target video and the playing times of each video segment of the target video.
Assuming that the total playing time of the target video is N, the playing of the kth video segment in the target video is N at this timekCorrespondingly, the video scoring of the video segment
Figure BDA0001740015500000101
After the video scores of each video clip of the target video clip are obtained, the video scores are stored in a local storage for direct reading when a video playing operation of a user on the target video is received.
In this example, the video rating information may also include a video clip preference indication for the target video for the target user performing the operation to play the video.
Correspondingly, the step of generating the video evaluation information of the target video in the video playing method in this example further includes: steps S22021-S22023.
Step S22021, obtaining a user characteristic of the target user, and determining a reference user corresponding to the target user according to the user characteristic.
In this example, the user characteristics are characteristic attributes that correspond to the user's preference for viewing videos. The video type preferred by the user can be counted as the user characteristic according to the video watching history of the user, for example, from the video watching history of the user.
The reference user is a user who has viewed the target video as a reference against the target user. In this example, according to the user characteristics of the target user, a user having user characteristics similar to those of the target user may be selected from users who have watched the target video, and the selected user may be used as the target user corresponding reference user. In this example, the similarity of the user characteristics between users may be calculated by using a method of whether there is similarity between two pieces of information, such as cosine similarity, which is not described herein again.
Step S22022, acquiring a history playing record of the target video, and acquiring a video score of each video segment of the target video by the reference user according to the history playing record.
In this example, the video scores of each video segment of the target video by the reference user can be determined by counting the overall playing times of the playing target videos of all the reference users and the playing times of each video segment based on the history playing records of the target videos in the steps S220121-S220122 in the above example, which is not described herein again.
Step S22023, determine the video segment of the target video with the video score greater than the preset score threshold as the preferred video segment of the target user, and generate a corresponding video segment preference indication.
The score threshold may be preset according to a specific application scenario or application requirements. The video segment preference indication can be generated by setting a score threshold to select a preferred video segment for determining the target user from among the video segments of the target video. The video clip preference indication may be indication information of a sequence number, a time of day, etc. of a preferred video clip of the target user.
Step S2300, setting a video playing interface to play the target video and displaying the video evaluation information of the target video.
The video playing interface is arranged to play the target video and display the video evaluation information of the target video, the video evaluation information is information related to the content quality of the target video, the video evaluation information of the target video can be visually and rapidly known when a user watches the target video, and the video watching experience of the user is enriched.
In this embodiment, the video playing interface may include a video playing area and a control function area. The video playing area is a visual area for playing the video in the video playing interface. The control function area is an area for showing a video control for controlling video playing, and the video control may include a progress bar for video playing, a video playing/pausing key, a video returning key, a video fast forward/backward key, and the like.
The target video and the evaluation information of the target video are played and displayed in different areas on the video playing interface, so that the visual effect presented by the video playing interface is clearer, and the video watching experience of a user is effectively guaranteed.
In this embodiment, the setting of the video evaluation information of the video playing interface for displaying the target video may be directly displaying the corresponding video score in the area corresponding to each video segment in the video playing interface, or setting different colors corresponding to different video score ranges, displaying the corresponding color in the area corresponding to the video segment according to the video score range corresponding to the video score of the video segment, and the like.
In one example, the step of setting the video playing interface to display the video rating information of the target video may include: steps S2301-S2302.
In step S2301, a corresponding evaluation distribution image is generated from the video evaluation information.
The rating distribution image is generated according to the video rating information and is used for representing the rating distribution of each video segment in the video, for example, the rating distribution image can be a rating histogram (water bitmap) obtained according to the video rating of the video segment of the target video, for example, as shown in fig. 3.
And step S2302, setting a video playing interface to display the evaluation distribution image.
In this example, a certain area in the video playing interface may be set to show the evaluation distribution image. For example, setting a display evaluation distribution image in a control function region outside a video playing region in a video playing interface can avoid influencing the video viewing experience of a user. For example, a score histogram (water bitmap) as an evaluation distribution image may be displayed in a progress bar of the control function region as shown in fig. 3.
In one example, the video rating information further includes a video clip preference indication of a target user who performs a video playing operation on the target video, and correspondingly, the step of setting the video playing interface to display the video rating information of the target video may include:
and marking the video clip corresponding to the video clip preference indication in the target video according to the video clip preference indication so as to prompt the target user.
The video segment corresponding to the video segment preference indication is the video segment preferred by the target user in the target video. When the video evaluation information is displayed, the video clips preferred by the target user in the target video are marked, and the target user is prompted, so that the target user can visually and quickly find the video clips meeting the preference of the target user, and the video watching efficiency is improved.
In this example, the marking may be performed by highlighting, blinking, or dithering a visual effect of a region corresponding to a video segment preferred by the target user, by setting a color different from that of a region corresponding to another video segment, or the like. For example, as shown in fig. 4, in a score histogram (water bitmap) shown as an evaluation distribution image in a progress bar of a control function region in a video playback region, a video segment preferred by a target user may be displayed in a color distinguished from other video segments to prompt the target user.
The video playing method shown in fig. 2 has been described above with reference to an example, and in this embodiment, the video playing method provided may further include:
and after the target video playing is finished every time, acquiring the video playing record of the target video this time so as to update the historical playing record of the target video.
The video playing record is information record related to each playing of the corresponding video. The video play record at least includes the play duration of the video, and may further include the start time of the video play, the play duration of the video play, the pause time of fast forward during the play, and so on.
After the target video is played at each time, the video playing record is acquired to update the historical playing record of the target video, so that the video evaluation information acquired according to the historical playing record of the target video is more accurate, and the user experience is improved.

The client 200 may be implemented in one of the various implementations described above, or may be implemented in a combination of two or more of the various implementations described above.
According to the embodiment, when a user plays a video, video evaluation information of the video is acquired, and when the video is played through a video playing interface, the video evaluation information of the video is displayed to the user, so that the user can intuitively and quickly know the content quality of the currently played video, and the video watching experience of the user is enriched.
< second embodiment >
< method >
In this embodiment, a video playing method is provided, which is implemented by a server. The server may be any device that supports providing data management services, such as a blade server or a cloud server. In one example, the server may be the server 1100 shown in FIG. 1.
The video playing method comprises the following steps:
and receiving a request of the client, and returning the video evaluation information of the target video so as to display the video evaluation information when the client plays the target video.
The video evaluation information of the target video is returned according to the request of the client, so that the client is assisted to display the video evaluation information of the target video to the user when the target video is played to the user, the user can visually and quickly know the content quality of the currently played video, and the video watching experience of the user is enriched.
In this embodiment, the video playing method further includes a step of obtaining video evaluation information of the target video, as shown in fig. 6, including: steps S3100-S3200.
Step S3100, dividing the target video into a plurality of video segments according to a preset video segment length.
Step S3200, obtaining a history playing record of the target video, and obtaining a video score of each video segment of the target video according to the history playing record.
The history record is a history record of the target video being played, and may include the number of times the target video is operated to be played, the start time of the operated to be played, the playing time length of each operated to be played, the pause time of each operated to be fast-forwarded, and the like.
The step of obtaining the video score of each video segment of the target video according to the historical playing record may include: steps S3201-S3202.
Step S3201, according to the history playing record, the entire playing times of the target video and the playing times of each video segment of the target video are obtained.
Recording each time the target video is operated and played as one-time integral playing of the target video, wherein the times of the target video operated and played in the historical playing record of the target video can be used as the integral playing times of the target video;
for each video clip, according to the playing time length of each target video in the historical playing record of the target video, the playing frequency of each video clip within the playing time length is correspondingly added with 1, so that the playing frequency of each video clip is obtained. Furthermore, the corresponding playing times of the video clips which fall within the playing time length but are not actually played can not be calculated according to the pause time of the fast forward operation of the historical playing record of the target video during each playing.
Step S3202, determining a video score of each video segment of the target video according to the overall playing frequency of the target video and the playing frequency of each video segment of the target video.
Assuming that the total playing time of the target video is N, the playing of the kth video segment in the target video is N at this timekCorrespondingly, the video scoring of the video segment
Figure BDA0001740015500000151
After the video scores of each video clip of the target video clip are obtained, the video scores are stored in a local storage for direct reading when a video playing operation of a user on the target video is received.
In this example, the video rating information may also include a video clip preference indication for the target video for the target user performing the operation to play the video.
Correspondingly, the step of obtaining the video evaluation information of the target video in the video playing method in this example further includes: steps S3210-S3230.
Step S3210, obtaining user characteristics of the target user, and determining a reference user corresponding to the target user according to the user characteristics.
Step S3220, acquiring a history playing record of the target video, and acquiring a video score of each video segment of the target video by the reference user according to the history playing record.
In this example, the video scores of each video segment of the target video by the reference user may be determined by, for example, counting the entire playing times of the played target video of all the reference users and the playing times of each video segment based on the history playing records of the target video in steps S3201 to S3202 in the above example, and are not described herein again.
Step S3230, determining the video segment of the target video with the video score larger than the preset score threshold value as the preference video segment of the target user, and generating a corresponding video segment preference indication.
In this embodiment, the video playing method provided may further include:
after the target video playing is finished every time, acquiring a video playing record of the target video this time from the client to update the historical playing record of the target video;
the video playing record is information record related to each playing of the corresponding video. The video play record at least includes the play duration of the video, and may also include the start time of the video play, the play duration of the video play, the pause time of fast forward during the play, etc
After the target video is played at each time, the video playing record is acquired to update the historical playing record of the target video, so that the video evaluation information acquired according to the historical playing record of the target video is more accurate, and the user experience is improved.
