Description

Random access resource using method, network side equipment and user terminal

Background
In the handover process of a 5G NR (New Radio, New air interface) system, a target base station may configure, in a handover command, a dedicated resource and/or a common resource used by initiating a random access at the target base station and a quality threshold of a beam used by initiating the random access for a UE (User Equipment). If the quality of the beam corresponding to the dedicated resource of the UE is higher than the threshold requirement, the UE should preferentially use the dedicated resource and cannot use the common resource, that is, the UE preferentially uses the beam corresponding to the dedicated random access resource which is not lower than the quality threshold to initiate random access.
In the future, the 5G system often works in a high frequency band, the beam quality is unstable, the order in which the beams corresponding to the dedicated random access resource and the common random access resource reach the UE is uncertain, and if the UE always waits for the beam corresponding to the dedicated random access resource, the beam corresponding to the common random access resource with better quality is likely to be missed, thereby causing a longer random access process time of the UE in a target cell.

A network side device, such as a target base station, may configure corresponding thresholds for one or more of the quality, RSRP, RSRQ, and SINR.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a method for using random access resources, which is applied to a user terminal, and as shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
step 201: and when the detected quality of the wave beam corresponding to the public random access resource exceeds a preset quality threshold, initiating random access by using the public random access resource.
If the quality of beam corresponding to the public random access resource detected by the UE exceeds the threshold, the public random access resource corresponding to the beam can be directly used for initiating a contention-based random access process without considering whether a dedicated random access resource is available.
In this embodiment, a method for using random access resources is provided, so that a user terminal may also use a public random access resource to initiate random access under a specific condition, so as to avoid missing a beam corresponding to the public random access resource with better quality in a process of waiting for a beam corresponding to a dedicated random access resource, and accelerate an access process of a UE in a target cell.
Further, the method further comprises:
and receiving a switching command sent by network side equipment, wherein the switching command carries the quality threshold.
Further, the quality threshold is at least one of:

step 301: and sending a switching command to the user terminal, wherein the switching command carries the time length of preferentially using the special random access resource.

If the UE has tried all dedicated random access resources before the timer expires, then random access may be initiated using the common random access resources that meet the threshold requirement (if the network is configured); or sequentially trying the beams of the common random access resource from good to bad according to the quality of the beams.
B. After the time or the timer expires, whether the beam of the special random access resource meeting the threshold requirement exists or not, the public random access resource can be used for initiating random access;
if the network side is configured with a beam quality threshold of the public random access resource, the UE tries to use beams meeting the threshold requirement, and the sequence is set in advance by the UE or tries in sequence from good to bad according to the beam quality;
