The method for controlling screen switching of a mobile terminal according to claim 1, wherein the mobile terminal is provided with an automatic screen rotation switch, and the method further comprises, before the step of detecting whether the edge areas at the left and right ends of the landscape screen have gesture operations when it is detected that the mobile terminal is in the landscape screen state and the left and right ends of the landscape screen are held:
