3. The table of claim 2, wherein the shape of the top surface and the bottom surface comprises a circle, an ellipse, a regular polygon.

4. A table according to claim 3, wherein the ratio of the separation of the upper surface and the base to the difference in radius between the circle inscribed in the upper surface and the circle inscribed in the base is from 0.176 to 0.577.

5. The table of claim 4, wherein the height of the retainer ring is 1 mm to 5 mm.

6. The table of claim 4, wherein the height of the retainer ring is 1/20 through 1/10 of the radius of the circle inscribed in the upper surface.

7. A table according to claim 5 or 6, wherein adjacent ones of the plurality of collars are equally or unequally spaced.

8. The table of claim 1, wherein the surface roughness of the sidewalls and the upper surface is 3.2 microns or greater.

9. The table of claim 1, further comprising at least one water passing member disposed through said retainer proximate an end of said retainer connected to said side wall.

10. The table of claim 1, wherein a support structure is provided between the upper surface and the bottom surface or inside the side walls.
