Background
The construction of a 4generation mobile communication technology (4G) wide-coverage network is already complete, but in the construction process of a 5G network, there is necessarily a place where the 5G network does not cover, so currently, a non-independent Networking (NSA) method is adopted for network construction, and a 4G network is used for supplementation in a place where the 5G network does not cover. In the actual deployment process, a plurality of sets of core networks are deployed due to geographical regions, network operators, network affiliations, security, and the like, and a function of continuously providing services to the mobile terminal by the core network of the roaming place after the terminal leaves the core network of the currently registered affiliation place and moves to another core network of the destination roaming place is generally called roaming.
In the roaming process of the terminal user, if a Data service occurs, the wireless side sends a Secondary wireless access technology Data Usage Report (Secondary RAT Data Usage Report) to the core network for roaming Usage reporting, and notifies a Public Data Network (PDN) gateway (PDN gateway, PGW) of a home location of Data information generated by the terminal user in the roaming process, so that charging is facilitated. However, in a specific implementation process, because the core network of the home location and the core network of the roaming location do not belong to the same manufacturer, sometimes the roaming usage reporting failure is caused by that a User Location Information (ULI) parameter of the terminal user is not carried in the roaming usage message due to a compatibility problem, and further the terminal user is offline, so that the terminal user cannot normally perform a data service, and the user experience of the terminal user is reduced.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
At present, 4G wide coverage network construction is already complete, but in the 5G network construction process, there is inevitably a place that is not covered by the 5G network, so the current NSA method adopted by network construction uses the 4G network to supplement the place that is not covered by the 5G network. In a 5G Evolved Packet Core (EPC), that is, an Option3 architecture, because an e-utran dual connectivity (EN-DC) between a 4G radio access network and a 5G New Radio (NR) is introduced, a user plane may simultaneously receive and transmit data from a 4G base station (eNodeB) and a 5G base station (gbodeb). Therefore, the eNodeB requiring 4G sends a Report about the Usage of the gsnodeb side of 5G to the core network, otherwise, the core network is not aware, so that an independent flow, called "Secondary RAT Data Usage Report Procedure", is newly added to R15 in the S1AP specification 36413 for reporting the Usage of the gsb side. Further, in the roaming process of the terminal user of the gNodeB, if a Data service occurs, the wireless side is required to send a Secondary RAT Data Usage Report to the core network for roaming Usage reporting, and the PGW terminal user of the home location is notified of Data information generated in the roaming process, so that charging is facilitated. However, in a specific implementation process, because the core network of the home location and the core network of the roaming location do not belong to the same manufacturer, sometimes the roaming usage reporting failure is caused by that the ULI parameter of the terminal user is not carried in the roaming usage message due to a compatibility problem, and the terminal user is further offline, so that the terminal user cannot normally perform a data service, and the user experience of the terminal user is reduced.
First, the present application provides a user roaming scenario, where a network architecture of the user roaming scenario is shown in fig. 1, and a home location (HPLMN) includes a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), a PGW, a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF), and an IP service of an operator; the roaming destination (VPLMN) includes an evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN), a global system for mobile communication (GSM)/enhanced data rate GSM evolution (EDGE) radio access network (GERAN), a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) service support node (serving GPRS support node (SGSN), a Mobility Management Entity (MME), an SGW, a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), and a user equipment (UTRAN), UTRAN, and UE. The HPLMN is the home location of the UE, and the VPLMN is the roaming location of the UE; the UE is accessed to the E-UTRAN through an air interface LTE-Uu in the VPLMN; E-UTRAN establishes connection with SGW through S1-U interface and establishes connection with MME through S1-MME interface; the MME establishes connection with the SGSN through an S3 interface, establishes connection with the SGW through an S11 interface, establishes connection with the HSS of the HPLMN through an S6a interface, and transmits bearing context information through an S10 interface; the SGW establishes connection with the SGSN through an S4 interface, establishes connection with UTRAN or GERAN through an S12 interface, and establishes connection with the PGW of the HPLMN through an S8 interface; SGSN establishes connection with HSS of HPLMN through S6d interface; the PGW establishes connection with the PCRF through a Gx interface and establishes connection with the IP service of an operator through an SG interface; the IP traffic of the operator establishes a connection with the PCRF over the Rx interface.
Secondly, the present application provides a roaming Usage reporting process, which, as shown in fig. 2, includes eNodeB, MME, SGW and PGW of the roaming location, specifically, in the roaming process of the UE, if a Data service occurs, the eNodeB detects that the UE generates the Data service, triggers the roaming Usage reporting process, and sends a Secondary radio access technology Data Usage Report (Secondary RAT Data Usage Report) to the MME for roaming Usage reporting; MME generates a change notification request (change) carrying the ULI parameter of UE according to the Secondary RAT Data Usage Report
notification request) and transmits change notification request to the SGW; the SGW forwards the change notification request to the PGW of the home location, and receives a change request reply (change notification answer) returned by the PGW of the home location; first, if a change notification answer returned by the PGW carries the ULI of the UE, the SGW returns the change notification answer carrying the ULI of the UE to the MME, and the MME returns a Secondary RAT Data Usage Report ACK to the eNodeB to indicate that the roaming Usage is reported successfully; secondly, if the change notification answer replied by the PGW does not carry the ULI of the UE, the message reply fails, which results in that the eNodeB cannot receive the Secondary RAT Data Usage Report ACK replied by the MME, indicating that the roaming Usage Report fails, and the UE goes offline, so that the UE cannot normally perform the Data service.
In view of the above problem that the reporting of the roaming usage fails due to the fact that the roaming usage does not carry the ULI parameter of the terminal user in the roaming usage message due to compatibility, and further causes the terminal user to be offline, so that the terminal user cannot normally perform the data service, the present application provides a method for reporting the roaming usage, which specifically includes the following steps, as shown in fig. 4:
401. and acquiring a change notification request of the terminal user forwarded by the MME through the SGW.
Wherein, the change notification request carries the user location information ULI and the user identifier of the terminal user; the change notification request is generated by a secondary radio access technology data usage report sent by a base station of the roaming place, and the secondary radio access technology data usage report is used for reporting the roaming usage of the terminal user.
Specifically, firstly, in the roaming process of a terminal user, a base station (eNodeB) of a roaming place detects that the terminal user generates a Data service, triggers a roaming Usage reporting flow, and sends a Secondary RAT Data Usage Report to an MME of the roaming place for roaming Usage reporting; and the MME of the roaming place generates a ULI carrying the terminal user and a change notification request of the user identification according to the Secondary RAT Data Usage Report, and sends the change notification request to the SGW of the roaming place. The Secondary RAT Data Usage Report includes Data Usage after the end user accesses the wireless side of the roaming area, for example, the Data Usage may include parameters such as an evolved radio access bearer (E-RAB) Identity (ID), a start timestamp of Data service generated by the end user, an end timestamp of Data service generated by the end user, a download Data amount of the end user, and an upload Data amount of the end user; the subscriber identity is a unique identity capable of identifying the identity of the end user, for example, the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of the end user.
And secondly, acquiring the ULI of the carrying terminal user reported by the SGW and the change notification request of the user identifier.
402. Sending a change notification request to the public data network gateway PGW of the home.
Firstly, if the terminal user ULI and the user identification in the change notification request do not exist in the database of the location server, storing the corresponding relation between the user identification of the terminal user and the terminal user ULI in the database of the location server, and determining that the terminal user is a primary roaming user in a roaming place. Specifically, referring to fig. 3, a home location includes an HSS, a PGW, a PCRF, an IP service of an operator, and a location server; the roaming places comprise UTRAN, GERAN, SGSN, MME, SGW, E-UTRAN and end users accessing E-UTRAN. The location server is located at the home side, establishes a connection with the PGW of the home, and establishes a connection with the SGW of the roaming destination through an S8 interface, and the remaining network elements may establish a connection through a predetermined interface with reference to the connection relationship of fig. 2.
Second, the change notification request is forwarded to the PGW of the home.
403. And acquiring a change request reply returned by the PGW of the home.
Wherein, the change request reply carries the user identification of the terminal user.
Specifically, after receiving the change notification request sent by the location server, the PGW of the home location forwards the change notification request to the PCRF of the home location through the Gx interface; and the PCRF checks and determines that the subscription information of the terminal user is correct, charges through the negotiation of the Rx interface and the IP service of the operator of the home location according to the subscription information of the terminal user, generates a change notification answer and replies to the PGW.
404. And if the change request reply is determined not to carry the ULI of the terminal user, searching and acquiring the ULI of the terminal user in a database of the location server according to the user identification of the terminal user.
Preferably, the correspondence between the user identifier of the terminal user and the ULI of the terminal user stored in the database of the location server may be stored in a form of a table together with the correspondence between the user identifier of the terminal user and the ULI of the terminal user, and of course, the correspondence between the user identifier of the terminal user and the ULI of the terminal user stored in other manners may also be used in the method for reporting the roaming usage amount of the present application as long as the database of the location server includes the correspondence between the user identifier of the terminal user and the ULI of the terminal user, for example, the correspondence between the user identifier of the terminal user and the ULI of the terminal user may also be stored separately.
405. The ULI of the end user is appended to the change request reply, generating a target change request reply.
406. A target change request reply is sent to the SGW of the roaming location.
The target change request reply is forwarded to the MME of the roaming place by the SGW of the roaming place, and is used for indicating the MME of the roaming place to reply confirmation information that the base station roaming amount of the roaming place is reported successfully.
Specifically, after receiving a target change request reply sent by the location server, the SGW directly forwards the target change request reply to the MME; the MME receives the target change request reply, determines that the roaming Usage of the terminal user is reported successfully, and then sends a Secondary RAT Data Usage Report ACK to the eNodeB to indicate that the roaming Usage of the terminal user of the eNodeB is reported successfully; the eNodeB continues to provide data traffic services to the end user.
Optionally, if it is determined that the ULI of the end user is carried in the change request reply, the change request reply is sent to the SGW of the roaming location.
In the scheme, the change notification request of the terminal user forwarded by the MME through the SGW is acquired; sending the change notification request to a public data network gateway (PGW) of the home location; acquiring a change request reply replied by a PGW of a home location, wherein the change request reply carries a user identifier of a terminal user; if the ULI of the terminal user is not carried in the change request reply, searching and acquiring the ULI of the terminal user in a database of a location server according to the user identification of the terminal user; adding the ULI of the terminal user to the change request reply to generate a target change request reply; and sending a target change request reply to the SGW of the roaming place, wherein the target change request reply is used for indicating that the MME of the roaming place replies confirmation information that the base station roaming amount of the roaming place is reported successfully. Therefore, the ULI of the terminal user in the roaming place is obtained, the corresponding relation between the ULI of the terminal user and the user identification is stored in the database of the location server, when the ULI of the terminal user in the received change request reply is determined to be lost, the ULI of the terminal user in the roaming place is inquired according to the corresponding relation between the user identification stored in the database of the location server and the ULI of the terminal user, and then the target change request reply is sent to the SGW corresponding to the ULI of the terminal user in the roaming place. The problem that the core network of the angelica home location directly sends the change request reply to the SGW corresponding to the roaming location without checking when the ULI of the terminal user in the roaming location is lost in the change request reply aiming at the change notification request due to the compatibility problem is avoided, and the roaming usage reporting failure caused by the loss of the ULI of the terminal user in the roaming location is avoided, so that the terminal user offline problem is caused, the smoothness of data service of the terminal user is further ensured, and the user experience of the terminal user is improved.
The embodiment of the present invention may perform the division of the function modules for the reporting apparatus of roaming usage according to the method embodiment, for example, each function module may be divided corresponding to each function, or two or more functions may be integrated into one processing module.
