In a preferred embodiment, the receptacle 211 of the insulative housing 21 has a first guiding inclined surface 2111 at the inner periphery thereof, and the first guiding inclined surface 2111 corresponds to a second guiding inclined surface 231 at the outer periphery of the conductive terminal 23, so as to limit the tail portion of the conductive terminal 23 corresponding to the rear end of the second guiding inclined surface 231 from passing through the receptacle 211 in the vertical direction. In another preferred embodiment, the insertion hole 211 can be any other shape capable of forming interference, such as a slot, a step, a groove, or other such mechanisms, which are not limited in the present invention.
In a preferred embodiment, the positioning post 212 has one or more slots 214 for elastic deformation, the slot 214 is in a cross shape, when the positioning post 212 is inserted into the positioning hole 223 of the terminal fixing sleeve 22, the positioning hole 223 presses the positioning post 212 from the outer periphery to the inner side, so that the positioning post 212 is elastically deformed toward the slot 214 to facilitate the locking structure 213 to pass through the positioning hole 223. The slots 214 may be arranged in other numbers or shapes (such as a straight shape, a Y shape or other shapes) according to the mechanical Tolerance (Tolerance) in addition to the above embodiments, and the present invention is not limited to the shapes, numbers, or sizes of the slots 214. In another preferred embodiment, the positioning post 212 may not be provided with the slot 214, and the volume of the locking structure 213 is designed only by the deformation tolerance of the material, so that the locking structure 213 can pass through the positioning hole 223 within the reasonable deformation tolerance range, and the end is restored to form an interference to limit the displacement of the terminal fixing kit 22, and a person or machine in this embodiment can still insert the positioning post 212 into the terminal fixing kit 22 by applying stress.

When the positioning post 212 is inserted into the positioning hole 223, the first side inclined guiding surface 2231 contacts the first side inclined surface 2231 to guide the locking structure 213 to be inserted into the positioning hole 223; when the locking structure 213 passes through the positioning hole 223, the second side guiding inclined surface 2132 corresponds to the second side inclined surface 2232, so that the positioning post 212 can be pressed inward by the second side inclined surface 2232 when the terminal fixing assembly 22 is pulled out.
The terminal positioning units 222 on the terminal fixing sleeve 22 are annularly distributed around the terminal fixing sleeve 22 for the conductive terminals 23 to be laterally inserted. The terminal positioning unit 222 may be a slot, a clip arm, a buckle, a hook, or any other mechanism that can be laterally inserted and positioned, which is not limited in the present invention.
The following description is directed to the terminal positioning unit 222 of the present invention, which is a preferred embodiment: in the present embodiment, the conductive terminal 23 has one or more grooves 232, and the terminal positioning unit 222 has one or more clamping arms 2221 corresponding to the number of the grooves 232 to clamp the grooves 232 so as to limit the vertical displacement of the conductive terminal 23 relative to the terminal positioning unit 222. In order to allow the clip arms 2221 to be clamped with a space for deformation, the terminal positioning unit 222 has a groove 2222 between adjacent clip arms 2221 in the circumferential direction. When the conductive terminal 23 is inserted into the terminal positioning unit 222, the outer diameter of the conductive terminal 23 is slightly larger than that of the terminal positioning unit 222, and the conductive terminal 23 pushes the clamping arms 2221 towards two sides, the groove 2222 provides a space for the clamping arms 2221 to elastically deform outwards, so that the clamping arms 2221 have elasticity, and when the conductive terminal 23 is completely inserted into the terminal positioning unit 222, the clamping arms 2221 elastically clamp the conductive terminal 23, so as to limit the movement of the conductive terminal 23.
The conductive terminal 23 has a cylindrical groove 233 at one end of the tail portion for inserting the wire core 31 of the cable 30, and the metal wire in the wire core 31 contacts with the metal in the cylindrical groove 233 to achieve the conduction function. The conductive terminal 23 is provided with a through hole 234 communicating with the cylindrical groove 233 on the circumferential wall surface of the tail portion, and the wire core 31 is fixed inside the through hole 234 by crimping or welding the wire core 31 in the cylindrical groove 233, so as to prevent the wire core 31 from falling off from the conductive terminal 23.
Referring to fig. 4-1 to 4-3, the assembly diagrams (a) to (b) of the terminal fixing structure of the electrical connector according to the present invention are shown as follows:
first, as shown in fig. 4-1, during assembly, the wire cores 31 of the cable 30 are fixed to the conductive terminals 23, respectively, and the fixing method may be crimping or welding. After all the wire cores 31 are respectively combined on the conductive terminals 23, as shown in fig. 4-2, the conductive terminals 23 are fixed on the terminal positioning unit 222 one by one from the side direction until all the conductive terminals 23 are combined around the terminal fixing sleeve 22. Finally, as shown in fig. 4-3, the conductive terminals 23 are aligned to the insertion holes 211 on the insulating housing 21, and the positioning posts 212 of the insulating housing 21 are inserted through the positioning holes 223 of the terminal fixing kit 22, so that the terminal fixing kit 22 is fixed on the insulating housing 21, and the conductive terminals 23 are inserted through the insertion holes 211 to expose the front ends thereof for fixing the conductive terminals 23. At this time, the conductive terminal 23 is locked by the insertion hole 211 in the plane direction, and the conductive terminal 23 passes through the terminal in the vertical direction, so that the electric connector of the invention can complete the terminal insertion without keeping an overlong wire core, thereby reducing the length of the exposed wire core and increasing the reliability of the product. Moreover, the electric connector of the invention is easier to assemble, and the production efficiency is further improved by reducing the difficulty of the manufacturing process.
The present invention has been described in detail, and it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating the preferred embodiment of the invention, are intended for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
