Abstract

In the delay jitter and packet loss test, the client sends the UDP data stream in a speed mode specified by the client, and the delay between sending of the datagrams is calculated according to the speed provided by the client. The client may specify the size of the sending datagram in addition to that. Each transmitted datagram contains an ID number that uniquely identifies the packet. The server side determines the loss and disorder of the datagram according to the ID number. When the size of the UDP message is set to place the entire message in a packet of the IP layer, the message loss data measured by the UDP is the loss data of the IP layer packet. This provides an efficient way of testing for packet loss conditions. The testing of the datagram transmission delay jitter is completed by the server, the message data sent by the client contains a sending time stamp, and the server calculates the transmission delay jitter according to the time information and the time stamp of the received message. The transmission delay jitter reflects whether the transmission is smooth or not. Since it is a relative value, client and server side time synchronization is not required.
(2) The results are submitted to a database: and after the client side measures the result, storing the CPU peak value and the test result obtained in the test in a json format and sending the results to the database server. In order to ensure the safety of the database server, an intermediate layer is provided in the data server and the external interface of the database is closed. The middle layer is mainly used for receiving the test result sent by the client, recording the IP address and the current local time of the client, and inserting all the information into the database for background extraction and analysis.
(3) Background detection and analysis: the background server mainly acquires data from the database server periodically and analyzes the data. And comparing each index of the network layer through a threshold set in the early stage, finding the quality of the network performance of the user and sending an alarm. the test result uploading module is used for sending the bandwidth information, the transmission delay jitter data and the packet loss data to a database server;
and the test result analysis module is used for acquiring the bandwidth information, the transmission delay jitter data and the packet loss data from the database server according to a preset period by using a background server and analyzing the acquired bandwidth information, the transmission delay jitter data and the packet loss data.
The packet loss data measurement module is further configured to receive a data packet of an IP layer at the server, where the data packet of the IP layer includes the data packet; and extracting identification information of the message data from the data packet of the IP layer, and determining packet loss data of the data packet of the IP layer according to the identification information.
The test result uploading module is used for sending the CPU peak data of the client, the bandwidth information, the transmission delay jitter data and the packet loss data to a database server after being packaged according to a json format.
The database server comprises a middle layer object, wherein the middle layer object is used for closing an external interface of the database server, recording an IP address and current local time information of the client side, and storing the IP address and the current local time information into the database server.
